Romantic Hotels in Honolulu

We had such a great time couple days the winds were high, but we didn’t let that spoil our vacation. The sun was out that’s the most important thing in the temperature was in the 70s and 80s and so perfect for people from Seattle Washington rainbows you know it’s a tropical area so the rainbows appear in the sky just so beautiful fireworks on Friday night was outstanding. Looks like all of Waikiki came to look And we stayed in the Tapa building and ocean view just outstanding. The restaurants to Bali was fabulous. The restaurants are on the street level was fantastic and we walked around the city and experience various type of cuisine. This is an outstanding vacation seven days and my wife and I are so glad that we have mobility and at our age so we could really enjoy the beach. Enjoy the catamaran enjoy just walking around the city shopping and so just outstanding. We look forward to another vacation like that. 

I booked two rooms at the same time, but they were on different floors, and even though they were the same price, one of them didn't have a bathtub, only a shower. The conditioner was empty when I was in the bath! I stayed for consecutive nights, but it seemed like the floors hadn't been cleaned, and the bathrobes hadn't been replenished, so it's not good considering the price! The location and front desk staff were good.

Don’t book a room cheaply! *Environmental location, next to Wakiki Beach and on the main road, it is very convenient to be connected in all directions. Convenience stores and restaurants, trolly stations, public beaches, and zoos are all very close and within walking distance. *Room facilities, the hotel has a history of a hundred years, so it is very stylish, but the city view room in the Diamond Building is so bad! ! ! ! Not as good as the new 3 star hotel rooms. (Pictured below are the benefits of room upgrade with the Marriott Platinum Card. I booked the cheapest room, but it turned out that booking through a third party did not provide any membership benefits. In the Maui fire, the hotel was full, and I wanted to upgrade temporarily but there was no room). The room is old, with an area of ​​less than 20 square meters. In short, don't try to be cheap when booking a room. The small and shabby room type is not as good as staying in Hyatt or Marriott. The price/performance ratio is too low!

Ocean front is nice. Bidet is really useful! But i think the room is kinda small. The location is great as you have a lot of chance to go for shopping!!!

Our recent stay at Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu was a blend of highs and lows, with its strengths balanced by a few notable drawbacks. Situated in a reasonably good location and boasting cleanliness throughout, the hotel offered convenience and comfort in many aspects with a great pool and bar area including a separate adults pool. However, certain factors detracted from the overall experience, leaving us with mixed feelings about our time there. Let's start with the positives. The hotel's location, while not directly in the heart of the city hub, offered a decent compromise between convenience and tranquility. Close proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon provided easy access to beach activities and waterfront relaxation, adding a touch of serenity to our stay. Additionally, we found the hotel to be impeccably clean, with well-maintained facilities and a commi**ent to hygiene that was commendable. Despite these strengths, there were some notable downsides to our experience. The most significant inconvenience was the walking distance to the main city hub, which required a 15-20 minute walk to reach popular attractions, dining establishments, and shopping venues. While not a dealbreaker, this added a layer of logistical planning to our daily activities and limited spontaneity. Another issue that significantly impacted our stay was the persistent noise from the elevator. Unfortunately, our room was located close to the elevator, resulting in constant disturbances throughout the day and night. The loud mechanical noises disrupted our sleep and detracted from the overall ambiance of relaxation that we had hoped for. In summary, Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu offered a mix of positives and negatives during our stay. While the hotel's cleanliness and proximity to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon were definite highlights, the walking distance from the city hub, the disruptive elevator noise, and having to pay for hotel parking detracted from the overall experience.

Nice for a nostalgic Hawaiian stay on Waikiki Beach — near many shops and restaurants. Great service and friendly staff. Hotel room was clean and furnishings are what you would expect for this price point.

The hotel is in an excellent location. It is only a few minutes' walk to Central Avenue, where you can shop and eat. There is a beach behind the hotel. Although it is not the main beach of Waikiki, it is less crowded and has big waves, which is suitable for family outings. The hotel front desk service is good, and early check-in can be arranged. The relevant matters are informed in detail. The cleaning lady is very enthusiastic and helps to solve the room problem. The overall hygiene is OK. There is an ABC store downstairs where you can buy things. The monkey kitchen has enthusiastic service and moderate prices. There is a circle of seats along the beach with a good view. The hotel can store luggage for free, and there are many places to rest in the lobby, and the seats are also comfortable. The hotel front desk can upgrade to a partial sea view room for about $24 a day. This room type comes with a small balcony. Sitting on the balcony in the evening to enjoy the sea view and watch the resident singers singing is very atmospheric; the hotel provides kettles, you need to go to the corridor to get water, which is quite self-service, and ice cubes are also provided; toothpaste, toothbrush, slippers, etc. are not provided proactively, you need to ask the front desk; the house was not cleaned proactively during the two-day stay, so call the front desk if you need it; the hotel has its own outdoor swimming pool, which is mainly played by children; the front desk will give beach towel cards, so you don’t need to bring your own towels when going to the beach or swimming; some rooms in the hotel seem to be under renovation, and the electric drill is very noisy in the morning. In short, the overall cost performance is good, the service is enthusiastic, and the corresponding hardware and software are in place.

This is definitely the most surprising hotel in Hawaii on this trip! First of all, it has a great location, right in the center of Waikiki, with Intl MarketPlace, Waikiki restaurants and supermarkets downstairs, basically within a 10-minute walk. The internet celebrity vintage coffee is a two-minute walk away! Secondly, unlike Sheraton and Marriott, it does not charge a deposit, which avoids possible refund issues! Although the deposits were returned promptly when I stayed at the other two hotels, this one avoided possible problems from the root. Third, the room is very new. It should have been renovated in the past two years. Unlike the old-fashioned American hotels in my impression, it is decorated in a tropical style and is very clean! The area is also OK. The smallest room we booked is also large enough for a 28-inch suitcase to be spread out and laid flat. Of course, since it is not on the beach, it definitely does not have a first-line sea view. Those who like to see the sea view should not come to this hotel. But the corresponding price is also relatively low (September 2000), and tourists who focus on cost-effectiveness can pay attention to it.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of the commercial street, and it is very convenient to go shopping and eat. The beach is right outside the swimming pool area on the first floor of the hotel. The coastal restaurants on the first and second floors of the hotel have great views, so you have to wait for a table during dinner time. The room is very large, and the king-size bed with sea view is very comfortable. It is also very pleasant to sit on the balcony and watch the sea.

Don’t expect much apart from the location. They should not call their kids paddling pool as a swimming pool, charging resort fee for just providing chairs and umbrella for you to take them all the way, 10mins of walk to a public beach.
