Room size is good and location is excellent, but that’s all that’s good about it. The beds were awful, we could feel every spring poking into our body. There is a fridge with supposed complimentary drinks, but it’s locked. There is a safe, but it’s locked. They have a clock with wireless charging for the phone, but it doesn’t work. We saw the housekeeping trolley had slippers but weren’t given any on any of the days we were there. Water was also not given on the 1st day, but was given on the 2nd day. The shower in the bathtub has a poor design. They should definitely install a shower curtain as the glass partition is way too narrow to prevent the water from splashing out onto the floor, making it very slippery and dangerous when getting out of the tub.

You’re getting exactly what you’re paying for.
Nothing special. Room is very small but designed in a great way.
Can’t say that cleanliness is good.
Shower is inconvenient at all. Floor was always wet because there is no barrier from the water.
AC is kinda bad - it’s too cold or too hot.
Staying for more that 2 nights is annoying.
But good for short trips.

After a lot of searching, I found this place, and it truly exceeded my expectations. I was worried it would be a tiny room, but it turned out to be a small suite. Although it's a bit dated, it was very clean. It was very convenient for families with children, as it had a fridge, kitchenware, and even allowed us to cook. The owner was incredibly helpful; whenever we ran into them, they'd kindly give directions to the nearest MTR station. The Yau Ma Tei Police Station is right next door, and it's also very close to the MTR station. I only remembered to leave a review after getting a new phone, so unfortunately, I don't have any photos.

Pros:
1. **Upgrade**: Upon check-in, they proactively upgraded us to a classic suite. I suspect this was a thoughtful gesture, as their standard rooms are quite small, and the staff probably noticed our family of three had a lot of luggage.
2. **Convenient Location**: The hotel is very well-located for exploring. There are famous restaurants nearby, such as Australia Dairy Company and Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop (Michelin-rated). The hotel provides a food map at check-in. Temple Street Night Market is within walking distance, and there are several seafood stalls nearby selling live mantis shrimp, crabs, and razor clams. We didn't get a chance to try them this time, so I can't comment on the taste. It's also a pleasant walk to Tsim Sha Tsui and Victoria Harbour during the day.
3. **On-site Dining**: The hotel itself has a rich variety of dining options within its food street.
4. **Airport Shuttle**: The A21 airport bus is very convenient. It costs around HKD 30 (half-price for children) and you can get off at Ning Po Street, then it's a five-minute walk to the hotel. Payments can be made via WeChat Pay, Alipay, or credit card. Each person needs to scan their own QR code; you can't use one for multiple people. Make sure to prepare your payment beforehand, or you might get a scolding if you're too slow, and they don't give change.
Cons:
1. **Aging Facilities in Suite**: The hotel is older, though it was renovated around 2018. While the room was clean, the facilities felt a bit dated. The most inconvenient part of the suite (room 725, for reference) was having to shower in the bathtub, as there was no separate shower stall. Moreover, the drainage was severely clogged and very slow. It started backing up the moment we turned on the water, not just halfway through the shower. By the end, the water would reach ankle-deep, which was quite exaggerated. I didn't complain because I felt it was due to the old building structure, and I doubted staff could fix it immediately.
2. **Restaurant Experience (Yat Tung Heen)**: One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the convenience of dining at Yat Tung Heen (a Michelin-starred restaurant). However, I personally found the roast meats and dim sum to be rather ordinary. If you consider yourself a connoisseur of roast meats and Hong Kong-style dim sum, you might want to skip it. The dining environment was pleasant, though. Furthermore, we booked for Monday lunch at 11 AM, not during a busy weekend, but by 12 PM, the manager came to ask if we wanted to order anything else because 'there were other guests waiting.' This was very impolite. If a customer declines extra orders, there's no need to add that last part; they might even appreciate the offer more. This incident further solidified my impression that customer service in Hong Kong can be lacking. After his question, I felt rushed and the rest of the meal was very tense.

I had to book a room last minute at 11:30 at night bc the room i booked at another hotel was filthy and uninhabitable. I found Happy Motel on trip.com and upon arriving i was so thrilled to see how clean and homey it was. I stayed in the family room which was spacious. The room was neat and all the amenities were provided-AC, Wi-Fi, toliet paper, mini kitchen. There is an elevator. Kevin,the owner, was also helpful and kind. I will return to this hotel next time I come to HK. So grateful to have found this place. Close to Jordan station (right across the street). Prime location, too. Shops and restaurant abound downstairs. Highly recommend if you want to travel comfortably and if you want to feel like a local.

I like the location of the hotel. It's just next to the MTR Jodan, which is very convenient.
The room is small but it's enough for me. It's very clean and looks just like in photos.
The lady there was very helpful and friendly even she couldn't communicate well in English, but still tried to help me as much as possible.

Weekend hotel prices in Hong Kong can be quite steep, but this place truly stands out as an excellent option within its price range. It's conveniently located right next to Jordan MTR station. The rooms are fairly clean, and the front desk staff were very welcoming. If you're wondering where to stay in Hong Kong on a weekend or public holiday and have a limited budget, this hotel is definitely worth considering. The two photos below were both taken from my room, which offered a fantastic view.

We booked two rooms. They were very clean and in an excellent location. The two adjacent rooms were perfect for our family of five. We had the pleasure of meeting the host, Uncle Xing. He is a remarkably kind and humble elder, from the same generation as our own family seniors. Our entire family was extremely satisfied with our stay. It was evident that Uncle Xing put a lot of effort into perfecting the rooms; he genuinely anticipated every guest's need. We'd confidently give it a 12 out of 10! As first-time visitors to Hong Kong, we feel incredibly fortunate and grateful that Uncle Xing was the first local person we got to know. Our trip was rushed, so we didn't manage to take many photos of the rooms. We wish Uncle Xing a Happy New Year and wishing you great prosperity!

The room was clean and tidy, and the location was very convenient. There's a Hong Kong-style cafe and snack shops right downstairs, and it's also quite close to the subway station. Everything else was great, but the room rate was a bit steep, and other expenses were also quite high.

SSupansaI'm a solo female traveler. The room is super small, but fantastic for the price and location. The entrance is right next to the metro stairs, so no wandering around searching and getting tired. You just have to take the lift on the right hand. The staff (female) were incredibly helpful — messaging me clear directions, providing all the information from booking onward, and being so accommodating. The room amenities were fully equipped. The only downside was the entrance, which felt a bit scary imp. And the floor/layout is just like the photo.

LLowSLA nice and clean hotel. Location is easy to find. The drop off and pick up point outside the lobby is street level so it is very convenient if you bring a large luggage. There is a night market at Temple street across the street. If you like dim sum for breakfast. There are two dim sum cafe near by. Value for money and very satisfied with the experience.

No. 242 Nathan Road, Jordan, Kowloon. The location is good, near the High Speed Rail West Kowloon Station and close to the subway🚇, making travel very convenient. The surrounding facilities are good, with large shopping malls and many shopping stores. The room is clean and tidy, and the items are neatly arranged. There are special facilities guitar 🎸 and guest card. It makes people feel beautiful and comfortable. Especially the front desk staff are very friendly [rose][coffee] cordial greetings, civilized warm service and thoughtful. Wave goodbye to guests sincerely when leaving the hotel. ํํYummyThere was no drinking water provided, as in other reviews. We stayed for three days and didn't even get a single bottle. There was no water dispenser at the counter. There were several bottles of water left over from previous guests in the refrigerator that the housekeeper forgot to throw away.
The housekeeper didn't refill the disposable towels, so we had to get them ourselves.
The kettle didn't work because the plug didn't work with the outlet in the room. The air conditioning in the room for three people wasn't very cool. They should replace it; it was too hot for three people. The cleanliness was okay. The location was convenient and check-in was easy. The owner responded quickly via WeChat.
The housekeeper needs improvement: she's sloppy and doesn't do a thorough job.

We were upgraded to a triple room which was still small but perfectly fine for one night.
Wet dry separation in the bathroom wasn’t great. There is a curtain but the toilet floor still got wet and remained wet all night.
Biggest negative was no water refill station.
Reception staff were friendly.
Air con worked well mildly noisy. Hot water for showering plentiful.

GGuest UserTiny hotel, tiny bedrooms, tiny beds, but location and cleanliness really compensate the discomfort of living in a room whihc is mostly suitable for a smurf rather than for a human being. Lots of nice small restaurants all around there, a few steps away from the hotel. However, if your are a big guy or if your height is 1.80 mt. or more, you may be really in trouble living there. However this is Hog Kong and the price you pay is really consistant with what you get. Nevertheless, we will be back there again in future.

GGuest UserThe twin room ,I was the bedsheets were not changed,you could smell the cigarettes smoke on pillow cases and there was hair on bed sheets. Other hostels they supply adapter in the rooms but this one don’t.The ceiling was leaking near the door.There is no hot water and I didn’t see the hair blower.The toilet doesn’t flash. No toothbrush just one drying towel. This hotel has good location nearby the MTR and some restaurants,banks etc. It also has a good window view.It does have tight security. The owner doesn’t respond fast to messages.
