Convenient location and affordable. Rooms are clean enough and the location is very close to the beach and ferry dock.

I had booked 2 night at Silverview Resort Holiday, it is 10-11 of May, I had double check the room is allow a kid(2years old) for free to stay before I made the booking. and my child is at 2 years old. but when we check in, the hotel receptionist said the room I booked is a one double room/ (1.5m wide), which can only accommodate two people, and children are not allowed to live there. He said the Trip website made a mistake, and he was irresponsible. He asked us to charge an extra 100 Hong Kong dollars per night and change it into a twin bed room, because we had no choice, so we had to pay 200 Hong Kong dollars to change the room according to his requirements. He said he would contact the website to send me an email to explain later, but we did not receive the email. I think the hotel should abide by the promise of the website since it lets the website sell the room, and it is not proper for him to unilaterally ask me to charge more fees.

I can tell the owners of this place what else can be done to make it even worse than it is now (after all, that's exactly what they're trying to achieve, I have no other explanation for this hole): - turn off the lights and water (by the way, the only surprise was that there was hot water in the room) - don't return the deposit (it's hard to believe, but for this hole you also have to pay the deposit in cash 🤦♂️) By the way, it's not that easy to get it back later, especially if you lose the receipt. - ... hmm, what else can I advise? It looks like they've already done everything else. P.S. I had to stay in similar hotels before due to lack of choice in, say, Honduras, but there they at least cost $20 and were cleaner :) Here I paid almost $500 for three days!!! And yes, they turned out to be unforgettable🤦♂️

The food stall next to the hotel is great! Breakfast, lunch, breakfast is so rich! The sister of the hotel is considerate, and it is neat to pack and order food! The hotel is next to a river, there will be some mosquitoes, the boys at the front desk are very thoughtful

This is truly the worst hotel in Hong Kong. Where to start? The room feels it has not been cleaned ever. The mastic in the bathroom has signs of mould. The toilet keeps flowing. The thermostat controlling the air conditioning makes a noise. There are no black out blinds / curtains. The shower does not hold in it's fixing. The furnishings are ancient and cheap. There are no plugs next to the bed for charging. The mattress is as soft as wood, The Wifi keeps dropping out. They store cots at the end of the corridors which is not allowed, ask for the fire plan. The daily clean of the room consists of a Henry hoover for 30 secs and a check on the bathroom towels. Sockets in the corridor are hanging off the wall - danger to kids. No lift - you are expected to carry your suitcase up 2 flights of stairs even if you are disabled or elderly. The hotel feels it has been designed and run by 5 year olds. Mr. Kwok, the manager only attends on Wednesdays and has excuses lined up for all your enquiries. He clearly has no interest in the customer or the hotel. There are no plans for investment. He will tell you about the new floor in the restaurant but will ignore the mouldy ceiling near where the food is served - is that illegal? Rubbish bins and the entrance to the toilets are next to the tea/coffee area. The old servery has become a storage dump, when was this area last cleaned.? . Move the curtain below where the food is served. You will notice that it has never been cleaned. When told the Western breakfast is un-edible, even the staff wont eat it, he replies that it is catered to the mainland Chinese market. Well call it a mainland Chinese breakfast then. Look at the lighting, ceiling and mould in the reception area. Is that healthy? Look at the open electrics, Is that safe for children? Look at all the piles of stuff stored throughout the hotel. Is this additional fire loading allowed for? The staff lock the door between the dining area and reception. That is a fire escape. I don't think Mr. Kwok cares for your safety. The hotel is clearly understaffed. The 2 breakfast staff are assisted by serving robots. Maybe the board should consider replacing Mr. Kwok with a robot. I'm sure it would do a better job. This place needs to be shut down. I will be sending the many photos to the appropriate authorities. Enjoy your stay......

Just don’t even try. This hotel should be shut down. It’s not sanitary at all!! Dust, mold and weird smells fill each room. The loudness of everything around you is insane. Nothing has been cleaned properly in that place since it 1st opened. Camping would be a luxury option.

In fact, even 1 star is a gift for this hotel! If I were to give an objective rating, the hotel would get minus two stars. If you want to get an unforgettable experience for a lifetime, you should definitely visit it! At the reception, you are met by a manager and a burping Chinese man (so that you can immediately feel the atmosphere of the hotel and clearly understand what awaits you) At the entrance to this so-called hotel, you are met by smelly streets and a couple of rats (perfect for animal lovers), at the entrance to the entrance you feel sick (this is the first brilliant idea from the owner of the hotel), then you are accompanied by a very persistent smell of urine, it seems that this entrance has never been washed. If you suddenly think that you will be able to normally go to the toilet, then know that the plunger is there for a reason. After each visit to the toilet, you will have to become a personal cleaner of this toilet. When you wash your hands, all the dirt goes straight into your shower (very convenient). Excellent shower!, when you bathe, rest assured that all the water will end up on the floor and you will have an exceptional opportunity to bathe again after you leave the shower. If you are hoping for privacy, rest assured - it is provided to you! The room is never cleaned! Excellent towels that will never dry on you, the amount of shampoo is strictly limited! You will also be asked to leave a deposit of 200 Hong Kong dollars at the reception, and if you lose this sweaty piece of paper - you will not get your money back, despite the presence of a receipt! (2nd brilliant idea from the hotel owner). There are exactly three ways (for the hotel owner) to make this hotel even worse (he strives for this). 1) Add breakfasts! The persistent smell of urine adds to the desire to eat. 2) Remove all the sockets. They will break in 2 hours anyway. 3) Hang the leaking pipe on the ceiling, it will perfectly complement the torn parquet, long ago not fresh walls (which lack plaster) and of course a dripping unit from the air conditioner of the neighbor upstairs! The best thing the owner of the hotel can do to somehow improve it is to close. An excellent choice for those who do not want to relax!
