"I had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Tsukasa in Sendai. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel at home right away. My room was beautifully designed in the style of a traditional Japanese house, and I had the unique experience of sleeping on the floor like a true Japanese. I also loved wearing the traditional robe provided in the room — it added an authentic touch to the stay. Everything was perfect, and I would highly recommend this ryokan to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in Sendai!"

Boasting natural hot spring baths, an indoor swimming pool and a massage salon, Hotel New Mitoya is located in a peaceful Akiho hot spring region. It offers free pick-up shuttles from JR Sendai Station, a 30-minute ride away. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the public area. Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and a relaxing ambiance, each room comes with a low table, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. Guests can try on yukata robes and sip green tea, made with electric kettle and tea bags. A bath tub and toiletries are included in the private bathroom. While staying at New Mitoya Hotel, guests can work out at the pool, or unwind in the hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor. A free internet PC is provided in the lobby. Karaoke lounge is open at night for guests’ entertainment, and the on-site gift shop is available. There is a small art gallery displaying historic pots and tableware. The property is a 10-minute drive from Senda-minami Interchange on Tohoku Expressway. Kougei-no-sato is a 15-minute walk away, and Akiho Resort Forest Sports Park is within a 10-minute walk. Dining Restaurant Iwashimizu offers a lavish breakfast buffet featuring Western and Japanese dishes. Tou-en serves ramen noodles, and Ume-no-sato provides delicately prepared traditional Japanese meals.

"Overall it was very good. The hotel was very traditional Japanese. They would come to make the bed at night. The hot springs were very comfortable. There were two main hot springs on the first floor. Men and women would take turns according to the date. They were all locals. There was a company team building. There was a souvenir shop downstairs with good stuff. It was about 7,000 yen to take a taxi from Sendai Station. When I left, I took the hotel's free bus to Sendai Station, which took about 40 minutes. It was quite convenient. There was a convenience store at the entrance of the hotel that basically had everything. Dinner was included in the room rate of more than 3,000. It was a good deal for three people. We ate too much. Except that the beef tasted not very good, everything else was very good."
