Comfortable rooms, delicious meal

We had an excellent three-night stay at Riff Hikkaduwa. The staff were very attentive and always greeted us with a smile. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of options to suit all culinary tastes. The rooftop bar and, in particular, the Japanese restaurant are a feather in the hotel’s cap.

The staff are very enthusiastic, the breakfast menu is very rich, there are many squirrels in the trees by the pool, and the Japanese restaurant on the rooftop is also very good. It is the most relaxing hotel in the whole trip. The children had a lot of fun, and a box of tea was given when they checked out. The only drawback is that we arrived at 2 o'clock and the room was not ready, but they were very enthusiastic to arrange a place for the children to go swimming first. The adults were very comfortable waiting by the pool, enjoying the sea breeze, the sea view, and drinking, so there is no need to deduct points.

The hotel is excellent, modern with very caring staff. It is difficult to swim in the ocean because of the waves. We ordered a plate of seafood to the room, very large and tasty, live music played in the evening.

Excellent hotel, we have been to many places and have something to compare with. Breakfasts are great, you choose from the menu and it was included in our stay. Rooms with a beautiful view of the ocean, pool, spa with excellent massage (you need to book a day in advance). There is a Japanese restaurant on the roof with a gorgeous view. Live music from Wednesday to Sunday! We highly recommend this hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Internet WiFi worked great. The beach is private, sun loungers and towels are provided by the hotel for free, there are waves like almost everywhere in Sri Lanka with small children it may not be very comfortable to swim.

Очень приятный и семейный отель

We stayed at Riff for five nights in February after a week of touring Srilanka. It was a great stay! All the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Hotel is really beautiful and the views from the rooms are stunning. Food was great, really diverse choice for breakfast. Not a buffet stile but I loved it even more. I tried different things every day, and everything was yummy. We had lunch by the pool every day. Also had dinner at Japanese restaurant on the top floor twice and it was delicious. Best thing was a beautiful infinity pool, chairs on the beach ( you can always find a spot ) and a gorgeous white sand beach. Waves in front of the hotel were too big for swimming in the sea but I could have watched them whole day :) you can swim just few minutes walk down the beach. And it is a great place for surfing so we tried that also. There are lots of restaurants on the beach also great food. And great beach for morning run/walk. We even had a turtle come one night and laid eggs in front of the hotel. Thank you everyone at Riff for making this a memorable stay for our family. We loved it!

Loved this small hotel—big comfy rooms, amazing food, and top-notch service. The beach is gorgeous, though not swimmable during the offseason. Luckily, there’s a safe spot just 10 minutes away. I’d come back just for the food and service!

Hikkaduwa Riffs Hotel is a truly special place. Watching the sunset through the window or from the rooftop with live music, surrounded by warm smiles from friends and staff, creates a sense of peace and gratitude. I started with just wanting a cup of Basilur Tea, but the experience became so much more. Each morning here brings new hope for a happy day ahead. Grateful for such a wonderful place—highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy life to the fullest

Riff must be one of the best dining options in Hikkaduwa. The food really is extremely good, and the service is also top notch. Special mention to Dinuka who really did make our visits special, and always made sure that our son’s gluten free requests were looked after. Would highly recommend to all.
