A very quiet place with a beautiful sea view! Take a walk by the seaside is really therapeutic! The room is clean and the service is great, when you reach the train station, can book the shuttle bus from hotel, they will pick you up from station to hotel ( although is 4mins walk from station but is a down slope, not convenient for those who carry big luggage) Overall, this place is perfect!

Drive all the way from Tokyo to here! Not an easy route as it leads us to all kinds of uphill and mountain road. The facility and room are perfect though, as well as great sea view and good kaisetsu set.

Beautiful hotel that’s located right by the seaside with unobstructed view of the sea. Outdoor onsen looks directly out to the sea and it’s amazing. Tatami was made for us already when we arrived and the mattress was thick and comfortable. We didn’t choose to have food there, and instead went out—there are several small restaurants nearby and are within short walking distance. The staff were friendly, they came out to greet us in the rain when we arrived. Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

Nice stay at a good quality ryokan. Absolutely lovely set dinner and breakfast. Very full afterwards. Beautiful view of the sea from our room. Room was a bit warm (air conditioning not working) and didn’t have hot water in the room shower/bath which was a bit surprising. Also had problem with mosquitoes getting in our room

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Atagawakan, this hotel presents a unique blend of convenience and natural beauty, making it a compelling choice for those journeying by car. Guests are provided with a shuttle service to the nearest train station in the morning. The hotel's crowning glory is undoubtedly its rooms, which offer breathtaking views of the majestic sea and the picturesque of 7 islands, providing a visual feast that is truly unforgettable.
However, the traditional Japanese sleeping arrangement, which involves bedding on the floor, may not cater to everyone's comfort preferences. Moreover, the early check-out time at 10 am, coupled with the requirement for rooms to be made up by the same time, might pose a slight inconvenience for some guests.
While the hotel's location offers a tranquil retreat, it is worth noting that it is situated a considerable distance from major attractions, which could affect those planning extensive sightseeing.
In summary, this hotel stands out for its stunning vistas and convenient shuttle service, though it may be best suited to those who appreciate the tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of city life and are comfortable with traditional sleeping arrangements.

Location is great if you wish to have good onsens and a nice seaview. Otherwise, the area has very limited amenities. The hotel itself was excellent and the staff were really really helpful.

All the staff are very nice and the stay was heartwarming. Despite the room is a bit dated, it’s clean and with a perfect view. Love the hot spring in the hotel! They provide shuttle service between station and the hotel, do message them upon your arrival and they are super nice!

thank you so much,...Trip.com for a reasonable price atagawakan hotel in izu peninzula. In front private beach, sky and sea view hot spring and luckily the fireworks in front of hotel aug.20,it's so fantastic. The hospitable of the staff, most of them are seniors...and the near attractions banana and alligator tour, there is a magical fruit there that when you eat this the lemon will become sweets,...and also the fabulous breakfast at room. But they don't served dinner, anyways there is an dining place around there...but need to walk uphill..everywhere there's a smoke of hotsprings.Want to come back here again next summer. The big wave of the beach are scary but there are so many so young and masculine lifeguards here, you can watch their rehearsal so early in the morning from veranda of the hotel together with the beautifull sunrise

Facilities: The worst hotel. I write this and share it with everyone, hoping that everyone in China will open their eyes. I see that most of the people who check in are Chinese. The facilities are old and cannot be compared with the hot spring hotels in Hakone, Noboribetsu, and Kyoto.
Hygiene: Very poor. There is a smell of moldy straw mats when you enter the door. There are dead mosquitoes everywhere, and there is unknown liquid on the wall. The bed was messy on the first night, the sheets and quilts were very dirty, and the quilt was very short. I felt cold at night and would fall off after sleeping. There were oil stains all over the table.
Environment: Very poor. The coastline in the afternoon is not bad. If it is not sunny, it is very ordinary. The curtains have a gray smell. I don’t know if it is a branch or something on the ground outside the public hot spring that directly pierced my feet. Everyone should be careful.
Facilities: Old, the toiletries feel very bad, the bottle is pola, but the facial cleanser is eye-irritating, which is not the case in other hotels. The shower head shower hole is blocked and water is flying everywhere.
Service: It can be said to be a weird service. Because I stayed for two consecutive nights, the front desk registered that I needed to clean, but the next day there was no cleaning. In addition, the air conditioner switches were all turned off at 10 am, saying that it was for energy saving. Are you kidding me? I almost died of heat in the hotel, so I ran out quickly. Later, the waiter said that they defaulted to either check out the next day or go out to play before 10 o'clock, so the whole building was closed. What? I fled in the heat at night, and came back tired at night to see the room in a mess. You can imagine how I felt. The front desk said that the private hot spring can be booked at any time but it is always empty. As a result, it was said that tonight was full and I could only make an appointment tomorrow. After reading the bad reviews, it turned out that everyone had similar experiences. The girl at the front desk really spoke very strongly and liked to surprise. There was no apology or condolence during the whole process of my foot being pierced in their hot spring. There was no service at all. Whatever you wanted, there was nothing. The people on duty at night were all Japanese who didn't speak English. Except for a Chinese boy from Guangzhou who was an intern, he came to help us collect the garbage, change the towels, and make the bed that night. And it was well made, clean and compact. The only good review is for him. But he said that he would return home after his internship in ten days. Don't choose this hotel. It is not worth the money.

Very unsatisfactory stay, at least it is the worst one among at least six hotels I stayed in twice in Japan. The room smells and is quite old. The toilet has no ventilation, the toilet makes strange noises, and its functions are also damaged. There is a bathtub in the bathroom but water can hardly be put in. The faucet is broken and the water flow is so small that it can only be rinsed. The water in the shower is also very small, and even the foam cannot be washed away. It took a long time to rinse it slightly. Then there is a very cracked bed. It is not clean. There are suspected mites or lice. It is itchy to lie on it and can't sleep (not mosquitoes, mosquito coils have been lit, and there is no mosquito sound, but the body is itchy and can't sleep, and then bubbles appear). I read the comments that other guests have also encountered this. I am really dissatisfied. The price-performance ratio is low, which resulted in not much sleep on the first night. The only good thing is that the driver of the shuttle bus has a very good attitude and is very responsible. It is too bad and I will not come again

From the moment I stepped on the shuttle bus from Atagawa Station to the hotel, I felt the warm service. From the Chinese service lady at the front desk to the Japanese lady who led us to the room, everyone felt at home. Private soup + public soup ♨️ let people let go of the fatigue of the journey in minutes. I will go back to experience the satisfaction of one night and two meals again if I have the chance in the future😌
