I understand that tourists are normally discriminated against in Japan, but this is way too obvious, especially if you accidentally bought the cheapest plan on trip.com. Foreigners will be greeted by working holiday workers who cannot speak in English. Staff English is like my Japanese level, but at least I can read and understand basic Japanese. Hygiene was terrible. There was the smell of cigarettes, dust, and stains everywhere. Even in the "higher-class" area, the carpet was dirty. Food was not good. You have to prepare you own. No need to buy the up-grade plan because they don't know how to cook. Bath was the only good thing here.

Clean Onsen. Good service. A bit remote but accessible. Not many choices for food. Ryokan Area is much better than Onsen Area.

The hot springs are great, and the food is better than expected, but there is no air conditioning. If you come in summer, be careful. The hotel does not have independent toilets and bathrooms, and the sound insulation is also slightly poor.

For better or worse, I wouldn't recommend this place to people with obsessive-compulsive disorder. But the bath was amazing. The food was also simply delicious and unpretentious, so I was very satisfied.

I had a very good rest. It's in a mountain valley, so it takes a while to get to the city, but the facilities and hot springs were great. It was my first time at an inn, but I healed properly.

Based on the reviews here, I stayed in a room facing the stream in the main building (ryokan section) of a wooden building built in the Showa period. It was a great choice. (1) The annex, built of reinforced concrete, is a very ordinary ryokan, with no atmosphere of a hot spring inn, but the main building, built of wooden architecture built in the Showa period, retains the atmosphere of a hot spring inn, but the air conditioning and heating work well and it is comfortable. (2) The windows have traditional wooden frames on the outside and shoji-style sash windows on the inside, so the insulation is good. (3) The tatami mats and floors are also clean. (4) The dressing table and tea cabinets retain the atmosphere of a traditional hot spring inn, but the TV is a large wall-mounted type. It also has BS channels. (5) The futon is a feather futon. (6) The toilet is shared, but it is clean and has a washlet and a heated toilet seat. (7) The view of the stream side is very beautiful, with a small waterfall (Shiraito Falls) in view. I wanted to enjoy the snowy scenery, so I went during the extremely cold and snowy season. I enjoyed the snow-viewing scenery of the mountain stream from my room after taking a bath in the open-air bath. The temperature outside was below freezing, but the heating in the room and hallway was working well, and most importantly, the hot spring water was very hot, so I didn't feel cold at all. I would like to go again in the winter.

First of all, as soon as you arrive at the inn, the appearance of the building is unique and it feels good. The room was right above the entrance and the wooden crosspieces on the windows were wonderful. As for the hot springs, the white monkey hot spring has a big impact. Inside, there is a round bathtub under the steaming stairs in a nostalgic space. There is a small step at the edge of the bathtub, and when I put my foot on it, the depth was barely below my neck, even though I am 160cm. The center was slightly shallower. We ate in the dining room, but there were partitions between the tables, so we were able to relax. There was a good selection of food both at night and in the morning, and it was delicious.

I used it at a day trip hot spring. It was good to be able to take a bath cheaply, but I think that the facilities in the hot spring cure department were certainly old and not well cleaned. Nonetheless, the deepest white monkey bath in Japan was comfortable, and there was no one by chance, so I was able to take a leisurely bath. The employees were also polite and gave me a good impression. It was an old-fashioned hot spring resort. I went by rental car, but I thought that the path leading to the site would be scary in winter.

I stopped by for a day trip bath. From 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the famous “White Monkey Bath” is exclusively for women, so my wife used it at that time. Other times are mixed bathing, so honestly it's limited to that time. The day-trip bathing of group travelers will come at that time. Since the stay time is about 1 hour, it is okay to take a bath properly, but it seems that about 10 people in their 70s came while my wife was taking a bath. It seems that he came down the stairs in a fuss, put the chairs in the washing area around the bathtub without taking off his clothes, and without washing his feet, said, "Footbath! Footbath!" I warned him that he was so arrogant, but he didn't listen, and the other bathers ran away. The hat and clothes had a badge written as club tourism, so it must be a conviction. Travel agencies may recommend such footbaths. My wife escaped to another hot spring in the hotel, but the same group came there and started a footbath. I think that the ryokan also accepts it, so if you think about the time to go from Hanamaki, it may be better not to go. If there was no group, there was nothing uncomfortable, so I recommend checking first.

There is a ryokan department and a hot spring cure department, and I stayed at both. Only the bath was good. The hot springs are old and very dirty. It's a hot spring cure department, so I'm aware that it's old, so I don't mind. The only problem is that it wasn't cleaned and it was really dirty. From the ceiling of the room where I stayed, many things like spider web threads made of dust were hanging and swaying in the draft. do you eat here? It doesn't matter if the shared washroom is old. However, there are many stains that can be wiped off, or rather, the washroom is dirty as if it was proof that you have neglected to clean it for many years, and the mat is dirty like garbage? Abandoned, old and dirty sofas that you hesitate to sit on, dirty cleaning utensils that you hesitate to touch... It was too dirty to brush my teeth or wash my face. There were two Japanese-style and two Western-style communal toilets for women, but in one Western-style one was a dirty, soaked rag? mat? is left on the floor and cannot be used (maybe a water leak or a rain leak first aid?). There were spider webs and threads of dust hanging all over the place, and it really made me feel down. The corners of the corridors are used as storerooms, and there are many unused rooms. The stairs to the 3rd floor are closed and the 3rd floor is pitch black. Every time I see it, I'm horrified, so try not to see it as much as possible. Is it possible that the hot spring cure area is an area where employees do not have to clean and manage? Do customers have to clean and manage? It was really neglected. old is good But I hate being dirty. I want you to be a little more enthusiastic and clean as long as you take money and let guests stay. The good point was that bath towels, yukata, and kerosene fan heaters were free even though they were a hot spring cure department. However, there was a terrible destructive power that just canceled out the good points. I never want to stay again. By the way, the ryokan department was heaven compared to the hot spring cure department. The shared toilet was clean and normal. The corridor was heated and comfortable, and the food was good. The room was old but cleaned normally. Also, the ryokan club and the hot spring cure club have different slippers. Why is this a distinction? I wonder if the guests of the hot spring cure club should not use the ryokan club's communal toilets? ? ? I guessed. I have to change into slippers for the toilet in front of the toilet, so do you want to be found out there? Rather than worrying about slippers, I think it will be solved if you can make the toilet of the hot spring cure department comfortable.

The best thing about this place is the hot springs. A blissful time soaking in hot water up to your neck. Oh, I stand deep in the bath. Excellent atmosphere. I stayed in the upper class called December, but the service, the open-air bath with the room, and the food were excellent. The only thing I didn't like was the interior. It was a pity that the flashy interior was located in this wonderful nature.
