"The apartment is located about 10 minutes walk from Hakone Yumoto station. Check in instructions was easy. The rooms were big and comfortable. Kitchen was a useful size, only thing is the ports and pans were slightly dirty."

"The hotel is very beautiful, the service is very warm, and there is a dedicated person to introduce the various facilities of the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were very sumptuous. There was a private bath in the room. I went around the public bath, but there was almost no one there. In the morning, ask the hotel to send your luggage directly to the station, so you can travel empty-handed~"

"We loved our experience is this hotel! We had such a lovely evening with our friends an and enjoyed the sunset over the lake- what a perfect ending to the day. We booked the best rooms (kind of by accident but so happy we did that). They’re the top floor rooms with the balconies. Worth it! The breakfast was also truly fantastic- lots of variety and excellent quality choices, including fresh delicious fruit. The onsen was also a delight."

"Chose this place for the private onsen and highly reviewed meals. Meals are served in the central restaurant, will need to book meal timing for both breakfast and dinner as they serve over two rounds. Chose kaiseki dinner which felt like fine dining too. The rooms are modern, with the private onsen on rustic balcony facing the forest. The hot onsen water runs continuously into the pool, which made me think it’s really from the mountains. Do note the hotel is on the middle of a hill, so if driving, be prepared to drive along small windy roads to reach. When leaving, the hotel staff will even help to look out for oncoming cars and direct you to safely drive out of the hotel property onto the main road."

"There are too many complaints, so I will list them one by one: 1. The view from the private bath in the room is very bad; 2. The public bath only has one big pool, and there is no basic configuration of sauna room; 3. The surrounding environment is monotonous, and there are no garden facilities; 4. The shuttle bus is arrogant and only stops at Kowakudani Station; 5. The freshness of the food is average. As one of the top hot spring hotels in Hakone, I have to say that I am quite disappointed."

"Ten-yu is amazing. We were impressed from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The kind staff allowed us an early check-in at 1 p.m. and arranged lounge services for our three-day, two-night stay. While the breakfast buffet was exceptional—an extensive spread paired with bubbles and wine—the Kaiseiki dinner was a bit disappointing in comparison. We were fortunate to experience a picturesque snowfall that transformed the hotel’s surroundings into a postcard-like scene, and since we drove, getting around was never an issue despite the snow. The staff were thoughtful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!"

"Nice stay . We booked traditional Japanese room, and slept on futon beds. Pillows were uncomfortable though . Our room fee included dinner and breakfast which was very nice. Dinner was tad too cold for our taste ( too many cold dishes) and breakfast was too “fishy”. Although all food was fresh and the service was impeccable. Hotel also has its own onsen , and pretty Japanese garden ."

"All I can say is I’m super love the hotel! Very convenient, near the hakone ropeway, near the pirate ship! There is also private and public Onsen. Super love their buffet dinner and buffet breakfast! Highly recommend people and my friends to go! Will revisit again :))"

"The hotel is located halfway up the mountain, far from downtown areas such as Gora and Yumoto, making it inconvenient to travel and too expensive to take a taxi. It is only suitable for friends who drive themselves. The room is spacious and comfortable, with a small hot spring pool on the balcony, but I still booked the hotel's private bath. The hotel's breakfast and dinner are very rich and I can't finish them at all! The taste is good!"

"Although a reservation is required, the private hot spring is very attractive. There is no bathroom in the room, but the shower is available 24 hours a day, so there was no inconvenience. The room was a Japanese-style room, so it had a Japanese feel and was clean, so it was a comfortable environment, but it was a bit cold at night even with the air conditioner on."
