Nestled in a peaceful corner of Mt. Hakone, yet conveniently connected by bus, only a 5-10 mins walk. This charming little hotel offered an unforgettable immersion into Japanese culture, complete with tatami-matted floor, soft futon bedding and soothing onsen. With it's effortless check in and out, it's perfect for travelers seeking tranquility and authenticity without sacrificing to much convenience. Pros: If you plan to visit the Hakone pirate ship and the Hakone ropeway at Togendai, it will give you an early start because it's only 11 minutes by bus. Con: To get to the hotel you will need to go up a little hill, not too hard, but if you have a lot of luggage it could be a bit of a challenge (But it's an easy walk back to the bus stop) Be mindful of the bus time getting to the hotel as the bus tends to end around 5:00 p.m. Also, there aren't any places to eat near the hotel, so you may need to take food with you, order breakfast with the hotel or buy some snacks and instant noodles from the hotel shop.

The only problem is that the facilities are a bit old, and the location is not easy to find (the location on Ctrip is wrong). The room was spacious and clean with a bathroom. There was no problem putting four beds. The hotel also has its own hot spring, and each room can be reserved for half an hour. The boss lady saw that my friend and I were staying in a room and offered to make an appointment for an hour. In short, it was a very happy experience! But it should be noted that the hotel has no restaurant and is a certain distance from the convenience store. It is best to bring some food with you. The hotel's own store will be closed, and you can only buy some water and instant noodles.

Not bad, not bad, not bad

It is close by by taking the T-line bus from Togendai Port and getting off in front of the Palace Hotel. I didn't have much expectations, but it was better than I expected. Hot spring bath reservations are available for 40 minutes each in the morning and evening. However, there are two separate hot spring baths, so you can use them privately when they are empty. It was nice to have a bathroom in the room, and it was spacious. There was a little problem with making dinner reservations, but they gave me a ride to the convenience store so I was able to eat well. There is a mini oven and microwave in the accommodation. Apart from being cheap, there are almost no advantages. I was disappointed after seeing the good reviews. I advise you to increase your budget and stay in Yamashita or Gora if you want to come to Hakone. Facilities: This hotel is very remote. Not to mention a convenience store, there are no vending machines around. In addition, there are very few restaurants around Hakone. If you feel uncomfortable staying here at night, just wait for the mountaineering bus. Can't go either. The only thing I can say is that the hot springs in this hotel are okay. They are also very hot at night and can be used indefinitely. Hygiene: Hygiene is average. Mainly because I found a big spider in the room at night. It made a sound when I walked in the room. It was very isolation. Service: I can’t say it’s very good, I can only say it’s not at all. The whole process is self-service. Fortunately, water is provided.
