Located in the hill with shuttle service provided by local agencies. Taxi ride is about ¥1000.Good size of rooms and hot spring, which are kept very clean. Free soft drinks and sake provided, this added favorite plus some more free amenities. Enjoy my stay here.

The hotel is quite remote, about 15 minutes' walk from Hakone Station at night. The hygiene is average. The tatami in the room is so hard that I can't sleep. The breakfast and dinner are average. There are only a few hot springs, and there are no bath towels, cold drinks and desserts after bathing.

The dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in Japan!
It was so dirty that I couldn't even take photos!
The hotel is a 30-minute walk from Yumoto Station. Although there is a bus that takes you 300 meters in front of the hotel, it takes 1-2 hours to get there!
After checking into the room, the whole room was full of mold and dust. The front desk reluctantly changed the room under strong request.
But! Yes! The new room's bathroom outlet was full of clumps of hair, blood in the pillow, and a lot of other messes!
I sincerely recommend not staying in this hotel!

The location is on the hill, you can walk or take the bus. The hotel provides free snacks and drinks. Hot spring male guests are only indoors. Hygiene level is average. The front desk was unable to communicate in any foreign language other than Japanese.

The hotel is located in a remote location in the middle of the mountain. The bedding in the room is not clean enough, stained and too old. The electric water heater is stained and there is no water cup provided. The bathroom faucet is too low and difficult to use. I will probably not stay here again.

Is it because you made a reservation on the day? Even though I paid over 13,000 yen, the lady at the front desk told me that the plan did not include dinner.
The restaurant cannot serve food.
The futon in the Japanese-style room is made by yourself.
Breakfast buffet is also the lowest level.
I was annoyed, so I thought about going home, but paying a cancellation fee is annoying.
Even though the area around Hakone-Yumoto Station is a tourist spot, the restaurant has a lunch break.
Never going again.

Although the location is relatively remote, the room is very clean and the facilities are complete. The self-service drink bar also has beer and sake. In addition, board games can be borrowed for free, which is very good.

Very old hotel with a strong musty smell. The room is quite big, but because of the traffic, I can only stay in the hotel. I don’t have a car to go to other places. There is a circular bus at the station to and from the hotel, but it runs every hour and ends early.

I decided last minute to stay overnight in Hakone since I ran out of time and it had been cloudy (no views of Mount Fuji). It is a ways away from the station and I had to climb quite a few stairs but it was worth it. I had a suite with a living area, bedroom with 2 beds and table with seating area. There were plenty of extra pillows and linens or quilts in the closets. The two onsens were separated for men and women. When I was there, only one other woman was there and she was leaving. A self service bar providing beer and wine is in the lobby. There is also an extensive "borrowing store" where you get your hair dryer, robes, sandals, chargers etc. Staff was very nice with limited English but very adept at Google translate

I arrived after 6pm so I am not able to attest to the restaurant. That being said, the bar area is open late and the self serve wine and beer was great. I booked this hotel the same day and am so glad they were able to accommodate me. I spent a whole day in Hakone and wanted to see more as well as hopefully catch a glimpse of Fujisan. This hotel had a fabulous onsen which was not busy...there was only one other person there and she was leaving. They do have separate onsens for male and female. They bed was pretty comfortable considering Japanese standard is very firm.

We chose this hotel because it is near the train station and we were arriving in the evening. Despite the convenient location, we would not stay here again. We arrived late in the evening (8pm) on a Friday night and we were disappointed in the available food options. Although the hotel has multiple restaurants, all of them were closed and the izakaya was supposed to be open but they were not serving due to a large party. The rooms were old, dirty, and smelled like smoke. The onsen was big and decent.

The rooms were large and spacious. But they were dirty, the duvets were discoloured. The place didn't look very clean. The breakfast was average. It said there was dinner but there was no service. The closest place to get something to eat is a supermarket that is down the hill about 10 minutes away.

Overall rating: ★★★★☆ There's a good chance I'll visit again. Room★★★☆☆ Feels a little old, but spacious enough. 3 points because there are some areas that are not well cleaned. Bath ★★★★☆ The size and hot water are perfect. 4 points because I can only use the open-air bath on Saturdays. Breakfast/Dinner Buffet ★★★★★ There may not be a lot of variety, but once you try it, you'll be satisfied. Free drinks, including alcohol, are great. Only soft drinks are available 24 hours a day. Services ★★★★★ There are many things that can be rented, there is also a kids room, and there are many child-friendly services. Table tennis and karaoke are also available for free, so you can have fun even if you come with friends. Access★★★★☆ Within 10 minutes by Orange Bus from Hakone Yumoto Station. The slope is steep, so I don't recommend relying on Google Maps for walking. There are no convenience stores around, but I didn't need them.
