The location is excellent being 2mins from Gora-Eli station. It is surrounded by private onsens and even some good restaurants. It’s a below average guest house without any lift or elevator. 2 flight of steps to the front desk and men’s and family rooms, 1 flight of steps to the ladies. It warrants a lot of work on cleanliness service and amenities to grow its image. The only saving grace is its excellent location next to Gora station and the ropeway/cablecar bringing you to Lake Ashi, Owakudani and many places of interest..

There is no private bathroom, there are only three beds in the whole room, and there is no place to walk. I bought it for 600 the night before, and it became 400 the next day. There is no wifi in the room where I am, and I need to use the wifi in the Sakura room next door, which is available at 10 o'clock in the morning. I need to check out. I don’t know where it got so many good reviews.

Comfortable hostel within walking distance of Gora Station. Warm atmosphere. With many common areas for different tastes and needs. The hostel was generally clean. But the room had a bad smell. Although the hostel was fine for its category, it was expensive; that is, it does not have a good quality-price ratio for the area (for the same or less value, you can get better accommodation, with onsen (hot springs) and spa in them)

#positive #I was happy with the Location, Corridor Soundproofing, Natural Light in the Room; Next to the scenic spot, trains and buses are convenient. Gora Gin Tofu is very close to the hotel, which is very good. The handsome guy Rio at the front desk is warm and thoughtful.

Avoid this place - December 2023 We are well traveled throughout Japan and this is the worst place we have stayed in. The place needs a good clean and repairs (see pics). The noise from other guests doesn’t stop until 11pm and the smell of sewage is strong in the L2 corridor. Just don’t - you can do better elsewhere.
