AAnonymous UserRiu Plaza Hotel in Dublin offers a comfortable and modern stay in a great location. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, making for a relaxing visit. The hotel is conveniently situated close to the city centre, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and key attractions. Breakfast was a standout feature, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options to suit different preferences. The service was efficient, even during busy times. Additionally, the hotel is great for business meetings, offering well-equipped conference facilities and a professional atmosphere. It also provides good value for money, considering the quality of service, amenities, and central location. Overall, Riu Plaza Hotel is a great choice for both business and leisure travellers looking for comfort, convenience, and affordability in Dublin.

TT___HI recently had the pleasure of staying at Clontarf Castle Hotel, and I must commend the outstanding service provided by the staff, particularly Marlienna. When we encountered issues with our initial room, Marlienna went above and beyond to rectify the situation and ensure that we had a memorable and comfortable stay. Marlienna's professionalism and dedication were evident as she took the time to show us alternative rooms and discuss our options for a more suitable accommodation. Her proactive approach and genuine concern for our satisfaction truly made a difference in our experience at the hotel. Thanks to Marlienna's efforts, we were able to find a room that exceeded our expectations and allowed us to fully enjoy our stay. Her exceptional customer service and commitment to guest satisfaction are a testament to the high standards upheld by Clontarf Castle Hotel. I cannot thank Marlienna and the rest of the team enough for their hospitality and for going above and beyond to ensure that we had the best possible experience. I would highly recommend Clontarf Castle Hotel to anyone seeking exceptional service and a memorable stay. We look forward to returning in the future.

JJonathon DeveyGreat location on the north side. Very close to shopping and an easy walk to nearby attractions and the south side. The hotel is a bit tired, but the rooms are clean and well-maintained. The staff were all very friendly. I arrived very early from North America and was hoping to check-in early … the first person I spoke to (although very friendly), was unable to accommodate. When I returned after breakfast (still quite early), another reception person was able to get me in well ahead of check-in time. Absolutely wasn’t expecting an early check-in, but it felt like the service level to support was a bit inconsistent (the second person tried way harder to help!). I did consider eating breakfast at the hotel (2nd floor), but it felt a bit tired and looked “sticky” so decided to go elsewhere. If you are looking for a place to stay that’s very convenient and don’t want to pay Conrad prices on the south side, this is a good spot for you!

KKa W HoNo one reply my in-app message so I have to call. And it’s weird that the receptionist is not clear about my Gold membership benefits such as late checkout and free breakfast but what I find the most disrespectful is that the receptionist has to ask the duty manager for my requests yet the manager was just chatting with other staff and she never smile at me whenever I pass by and look at her. I’d love to stay again but the reception should be trained properly again.

Yyuan9485The hotel is located in the city center, close to Trinity College and the spire. The surrounding facilities are complete, the transportation is convenient and the bus routes extend in all directions. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the front desk staff are warm, thoughtful and meticulous.

LLiyana MydinThe bed took up most of the room, but the space was compact, clean, and served its purpose well. I must say, the bed was impressively large. It could probably fit three adults comfortably! 😂 The bathroom had body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. I'm not sure if items like a toothbrush were available on request, as I had my own and didn’t need to ask. The location is excellent, very close to St. Stephen’s Green and in a safe area. The little café kiosk in the lobby serves the best hot chocolate! I did experience some internet issues from nighttime until the next morning, but the person in charge addressed my concerns, so I can’t complain too much. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, offering cereals, a small selection of pastries, and hot items like eggs, hash browns, sausages, mushrooms, and toast. There were also fruits and yoghurt available and also hot drinks and orange juice.Personally, I found it good value for €20 as it likely would’ve cost more to go out and order just a pastry and a hot drink elsewhere outside the hotel. Overall, it was a quirky and good hotel. What you see is what you get, so before booking, do your own research.

TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked. Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance. The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre. Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well. Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home. The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want. Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!

GGuest UserStayed at the Bonnington Hotel and was greeted well but I was expecting a fridge in my room as the advert clearly states that a fridge would be available but I didn’t get one and after requesting several times I still didn’t get one. The parking attendant is also very rude and seems to be on the look out to cause issues for visitors. The parking was very busy and spaces are limited, be prepared to walk around the side of the hotel. BE WARNED OF THIS GUY!!

GGayatri GallowayKnowing The Address from Dubai, I knew I could expect quality. Located on a main road across Connolly station, the train noises were only noticeable on the outside. As we arrived very early we accepted the first available room after an hours wait in the beer garden. We don’t normally accept twin rooms but as I was unwell we took it. A clean, classy, modern room, in comparison to which the bathroom with a bath looked a bit outdated. But the room had our fave rooibos tea! The hotel has ample F&B choices: a bar, cafe, restaurant and a ‘beer garden’ - a cute one too with useful heaters on the wall. Service in these areas however lack protocol, which we always seek in hospitality. The gym situated at the end of the premises is a public one, which means there’s non-hotel resident traffic through the corridors. It took us a moment to realise and a confirmation from the concierge that the hotel also houses ‘temporary residents’ evident from my fellow smokers in the beer garden and the children in their school uniforms having their breakfasts in one of the bar areas. We didn’t expect this from The Address chain. It reflects the reality Ireland is coping with. ROOM ✖️ Bidet/Toilet Shower ☑️ Powerful Shower ✖️ Separate Conditioner ✖️ Vanity Kit ✖️ Slippers ✖️ Bathrobe ☑️ Double Pillows ☑️ Kettle ✖️ Balcony/Terrace ✖️ Smart TV HOTEL ☑️ Well Appointed Reception Area ✖️ Professional Staff ☑️ Beautiful public areas ☑️ Good adjacent restaurants ☑️ Outdoor protected seating
