Outstanding
Tom and Sally Ann were very kind and generous! They made sure I was familiar with the bus routes and knew how to get around. The rooms are clean and the perfect size for a solo traveler. Homemade breakfast and a nice chat with the host each morning was the cherry on top of a great visit. And at a great price too!

CCairnsThis really is an absolute gem of a hotel. We were given such a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel is spotless and beautifully decorated. Our room was a standard room but the furnishings and complementary goods gave it a luxury feel. The bed was super comfortable with soft linens and huge fluffy pillows. The hotel had thought of everything including umbrellas to borrow for the typical Irish weather. We were able to easily walk into the heart of Temple Bar. The breakfast served was unbelievably delicious and lots of it! All freshly cooked from a vast menu. This is a family run hotel and the personal flare really shows. Can’t wait to return!

AA.Lee123Excellent hotel, great service and only 5 minutes walk to Landsdowne station that you can reach city centre within 15 minutes. The room is very nice and you can enjoy free coffee and tea, playing board game in the evening. The honourable system for whiskey bar is bdonus and the complimentary breakfast is very delicious. One thing I have to mention is that no air conditioning for the room but it's not bothering me in Dublin's weather.

GGuest UserWe arrived around 5.30pm and stayed only one night. The welcome drink was a nice touch but however in the morning there was lots of banging next door to our room. My husband was up all night with a cold so we hadn’t slept much. When we walked out of our room at 9.30 am to have breakfast the cleaners were sitting in armchairs with their vacuums and cleaning g products. It felt like they were waiting for us to go. When we returned to our room to pack up ( check out is 12) there was a knock at our door at 11.30 by cleaners. It felt like a lot of pressure for us to get out and no privacy as they were siting outside. The staff at breakfast hovered and were on top of us and asked us to order straight away before we even read the menu. The wait for the food was long and my eggs were cold when they came out. There is no lift to our floor so passing the cleaners sitting in armchairs we also passed cleaners sitting on the stairs. The whole experience felt unwelcoming and not private. The hotel it self is well located and beautiful interiors but wouldn’t stay there again. We have stayed at a lot of boutique and 5 star hotels all over the world and this was just average.

The best staff ever in the history of hotels! I stayed 2 nights, I’m partially disabled and use a wheelchair and crutches. The staff looked after me superbly! Whilst my room, public areas and breakfast were all wonderful, it’s the people who made my stay so enjoyable! So that’s what I want to base my review on. I have a great deal of experience staying in hotels, both for business and pleasure. I have stayed in some of the world’s top hotels and for the customer experience, your staff beat everyone! Seriously! Nothing was too much trouble, I needed extra assistance sometimes and someone was there to help before I even knew it! I went to Dublin for the Rammstein concert at the RDS, so the hotel was super busy, however this didn’t prevent the staff from going over and above when it came to the customer experience. I was treated like a Queen from the moment I checked in, until I checked out! If I need to visit Dublin again, I will be back at this hotel! I recommend it 💯!

WWanderer33004733575While the weather in Dublin was not the best as a major storm hit during our stay, the Gardiner Lodge was a sparkling oasis for us. The room was outstanding and opulent. I booked what was called Luke's Room on the first floor and it had lovely antique furniture, was spacious and quiet. The windows were 10 feet high! The staff was totally professional while friendly and helpful. The breakfast was serviced by the most kind staff with a full array of fruit, yogurts and made to order breakfast. It is as you read, in a more industrial on the north side of the river a couple of blocks but we had our laundry done around the corner and also had a couple of great meals within a block or two. Lovely place to stay.

GGuest UserMyself & two friends checked in to a triple room (Room 7) on Friday 24th February 2023. The hotel room was dirty. The towels had “stains” on them and was not very clean at all. The bed mattresses had marks and stains on there and it felt very unclean. The room was unhygienic and extremely dusty. This reflects on your previous reviews from Trip Advisor. The window is rotting away and dirty, and in the morning, it was wet with condensation and the room made all our clothes and bedding feel damp and cold. On Saturday morning, there was no running water. When we spoke to someone at the hotel, they said it would be fixed that day. It was not. We spoke to someone again and they said the water would take time to come up to the room? We had no running water. Please be advised that one of the guests in the room is Disabled. He has a bowel condition meaning that he has to change his external stoma every day. Being unable to hygienically wash was a challenge and could have caused infection or serious health concerns. We could not use taps to brush teeth, we could not shower, and most importantly, we could NOT flush the toilet chain. Meaning our facilities were redundant. We did not pay 400 euros, to stay in a hostel. This is what it felt like. We were told to shower in a “communal” shower downstairs on the first floor. That was absolutely disgusting. Unclean and unhygienic and the water trickled out of the head of the shower, which effectively means we did not feel clean once we “Showered”. We addressed this again on Sunday to a lady on reception and nothing was done about it. When we checked out on Monday, we spoke to a man on the reception desk who did not really take me very seriously. I explained the issues and he just stood there and smiled and didn’t even apologise or offer any refund for these issues. We did not pay 400 euros to stay in a hotel with a shared shower. This is not advertised as a shared bathroom and a hostel. It is advertised as a B&B. Yes, a B&B that cannot meet basic Health and safety regulations. I told him I would escalate to **********. I spoke to them today, and they advised they contacted the hotel, and they would call me regarding this, which they have not done. I am very disappointed that we paid hard earned money to stay at your hotel, yet the basic minimum requirements were not met of: Cleanliness Hygiene Running water Clean bedding and towels We have written for a refund. If not, we may take action.

GGotta WanderA beautiful Dublin townhouse in leafy Ballsbridge. Only a 2 minute walk to Landsdowne road to the Aviva Stadium and the Dart rail service. A 5 minute walk both ways to some lovely restaurants, cafes and bars so an ideal location. I stayed here because I had a Visa appointment at the US embassy which is also only a 5 minute stroll from the hotel door. The room was clean and very spacious, high ceilings and large windows. Microwave and fridge in the lounge which came in very handy as we had brought our own breakfast. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Only negative was one of the curtains in the bedroom seemed to have come off its rail and was half hanging down and could not be fixed because the window was too high!! However it just about covered the window to block the street lights so no big deal. Just to note, check out is 10am which is earlier than other hotels and the cleaners were knocking on the door at 9.55 so it's pretty much on the dot!!

The pictures made this place look so good but beware! My partner and I booked a 4 night stay and were excited to find a reasonably priced and cute looking place even if it was far from Dublin city center. The first room we were assigned was dirty including a used bottle of mouth wash on the floor of the room. After requesting a different room, we were moved down the hall to a new room. This one was dirty: *Toenail* on the floor, Bottle of febreeze on the counter, Smelled bad Disgusting lump of tape and something?? stuck to the wall Booger on the wall Stains There were also greasy smears on the night table and window sill. Pretty much you didn't want to touch anything. We were exhausted form a hectic day of travel so decided to grin and bear it for the night and then promptly cancelled the reservation the next morning. While the hotel refunded the remainder of the stay they did nothing to make up for the awful experience and significant inconvenience of having to re-book, change plans, etc. When I called to reach the property the next morning (no in person staff at the property which we knew), I was informed the manager would not be in until 10am. I called back at 10:05 and was informed the manager was still not in. Called back at 10:30, still not in. Finally, got a call around 10:40 from the manager who agreed to cancel the reservation after I told them how dirty the room*s* had been. In fairness, the bathroom and bed seemed pretty clean (and the portrait of Jonathan Rhys Meyers from The Tudors is hilarious). Save yourself a headache and frustration and book somewhere else. Worst stay I've had in a long time.

GGuest UserBooked here as just needed a base for the night and this was within walking distance to the city centre. We arrived early and they let us put our bags in the luggage room which was locked and secure. We then headed out for the day and came to check in about half 6. The check in process with smooth and the friendly guy on reception told us were our room was.. we then headed to our room on the first floor upon opening the door we was pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews. The bed was fantastic and ended up having a brilliant sleep. The bathroom wasn't the biggest however did the job. The shower door was abit loose and the water took a while to get hot. We had a tv and tea and coffee facilities in the room which we didn't use. There didn't seem a facility to amend the heating however but we were hardly in the room as was out most of the evening.. You could hear the noise outside the next morning on the street as the windows arent the best and really thin. For the price you pay i think this needs quite a big upgrade. Personally I wouldn't stay again.
