The hotel is very good. It is an all-inclusive hotel. After staying in the hotel, you don't need to worry about any food and drink.

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay although in some respects it was inferior to other hotels I stayed in on the holiday. The pools were great and so was the view from the room. The room itself was alright - quite basic but sufficient. We did have problems with a leak in the ceiling which was promptly addressed by staff but still a little annoying. In general the staff were lovely: in particular Chamindu in the restaurant, a security guard who called me and my partner over to show us turtles on the beach (sorry, can't remember his name) and the guy working the sunloungers at the lower pool. The weakest part was probably the food. It wasn't bad exactly, it was just worse than the food in all the other hotels I stayed in.

What a find ! Our large room was absolutely perfect - open the doors and there was the wonderful huge pool! Everything was so lovely, just as the pictures depicted - even better ! Breakfast was great, we had 2 meals at the hotel of an evening which were magnificent and set up poolside for us which was really lovely We were thrilled with our stay . The staff were delightful, helpful and kept the villa in such beautiful condition. Laundry was organised for us which was greatly appreciated as we were on a long trip and needed this done on short notice We cannot rate this Villa highly enough. Departed for Sri Lanka on September 28, 2023, and checked into the Amangalla Hotel in Galle Fort. It was the sixth Aman hotel to check in. It felt great. Amangalla was built in the 17th century. It was formerly a military command in the Netherlands. It later became the first hotel in Sri Lanka. It was acquired by the Aman Group in 1995. The hotel is not big, but it is well-equipped with swimming pools, massage pools, yoga rooms, etc. , you can experience local shaving services and foot massages. Amangalla is the smallest Aman I have ever stayed in. It is in the middle of the ancient city of Galle and a 10-minute walk from the lighthouse. The surrounding area is very convenient for eating, drinking and entertainment. There is the Tuna and the Crab restaurant, which is a brother restaurant of the one-Michelin-star restaurant in Colombo. If you have enough money, you can try it. Be sure to choose his tea plantation tour, which will also take you to see the sea turtle hatching base and stilt fishing. It was very interesting. Although I fell off and stepped on a rock while fishing on stilts and was injured, I gained interesting photos and a rare life experience. The ancient city of Galle is also worth visiting. Amangalla can arrange cars and tour guides. The hotel is right in the center of the ancient city. The location is good and it is very convenient to go everywhere. Although I fell into the sea while fishing on stilts and cut my feet. All in all, it was still a very interesting experience. The two Amans in Sri Lanka are different from the ones we stayed in before. They are far away from Colombo and do not provide free airport pick-up services. The airport pick-up fee for the five of us was about US$400 in a large amanganla. It should be noted that if two Aman activities are booked for consecutive days, they generally need to be booked from the official website, not Ctrip agents.

This hotel is the most impressive and satisfying one in the entire Sri Lankan itinerary. It completely exceeded expectations and surpassed the other two heritage hotels in my heart. The hotel has only 4 rooms with English-style butler service. It is very quiet and can provide better services. You can choose the breakfast you want according to your own taste (there are local style, Western European style and various options). You can tell the housekeeper the meal time and food the day before, and the next morning will be specially made for you and delivered to the room or in the room. Beautiful small villa, the food is delicious, the decoration is very simple. I didn't expect to have such a beautiful hotel in a deep village, a bit far from the beach, it is recommended that those who have a car want to try the local pastoral scenery to live. I met many local families to have dinner. The boss was very nice and the overall experience was very good.

Our wedding on 4th December 2024 at the Empire Ballroom, Araliya Beach Resort and Spa was truly a dream come true. The venue was stunningly arranged, by ensuring the perfect setting for our special day. Special gratitude also goes to Mr. Chanuka, the Captain, who led the exceptional coordination and care.The entire staff displayed remarkable hospitality and went above and beyond to make sure our function ran smoothly. We wholeheartedly recommend Araliya Beach Resort and Spa for any event and thank them for making our wedding a beautiful and unforgettable experience.

This hotel truly is exceptional. It is intimate and stylish in a beautiful beach setting. All the staff are gracious and friendly, going out of their way to make every guest feel special. They even trawled the swimming pool early in the morning before we were up to retrieve my husband’s lost wedding ring. We were delighted when it was found as we never expected to se it again. Rooms are light and airy, with wonderful views across the garden and beach. The bathrooms are huge with every amenity one could possibly need. What could possibly be nicer than to lie in our supremely comfortable bed at night listening to the waves crashing on the shore? The food is excellent, with plenty of choice and always presented with utmost care. If are considering staying at Kumu beach do-not hesitate. You will love it.
