My favorite hotel in Sri Lanka, super sea view room, the view is super beautiful! It's very pleasant to walk on the beach in the morning and evening. The swimming pool is also great. There are many chipmunks on the lawn, and the children are so happy. Half board The breakfast and dinner buffets are also very good, and you can see that they are carefully prepared. The staff are very nice, and the elephants folded with towels are so cute 😍
Villa White Queen

What a find ! Our large room was absolutely perfect - open the doors and there was the wonderful huge pool! Everything was so lovely, just as the pictures depicted - even better ! Breakfast was great, we had 2 meals at the hotel of an evening which were magnificent and set up poolside for us which was really lovely We were thrilled with our stay . The staff were delightful, helpful and kept the villa in such beautiful condition. Laundry was organised for us which was greatly appreciated as we were on a long trip and needed this done on short notice We cannot rate this Villa highly enough. We really hope to stay again You have a wonderful team of staff Best wishes Mandy and James - Australia
Surf Station
4.2/511 Reviews
Unfortunately we have had a very disappointing experience at Surf Station. We were charged a very high price on *********** whereby we booked of both the reviews and the photos. However the reviews are clearly based on a much lower rate than we got. We paid the same price as a luxuary hotel, yet got a hostel. We had paid for the “Deluxe Suite with Sea View”. We were not given this room & given a downgraded room. When we pointed this out, the manager, Sadith said we could be moved tomorrow as someone was in that room. So they sold the room twice at the higher price? They did not move us & the room was occupied by other people. Then came breakfast, great in the photos advertised. In reality, a small offering of fruit, followed by white toast and poached eggs. No sign of the fewest or the delicious pancakes in sight. No sign of the juice advertised. No water offered. Coffee (instant placed into a cafetière or tea was offered). No alternative milk offers either (obvs usually wouldn’t necessarily expect this, but for the price we paid). When I pointed this out to the manager, he informed us that the photos were from the previous team in January. So why weren’t the photos updates and why were we sold something that no longer exists? Breakfast was so bad we ended up paying twice and eating elsewhere or missing it all together. I raised our disappointment to Sadith on day one (day two he was on a day off) and on day 3, he was understanding and could see why we were disappointed. Sadith informed us he would speak to the owners. Upon check out we were offered a 10% discount. The room rate difference to what we paid and the room we received was more than this, let alone the breakfast. An absolute kick in the teeth. We finally left with a 20% discount after having to push for it. I would like to point out. The staff are all lovely, professional and hard working and this clearly wasn’t their fault. This is our time complaining regarding a hotel that we have stayed at. Were laid back, always more than happy to pay what we signed up for (though we did not receive what we paid for, not even the “deluxe room” & we always tip well. It’s been a massive disappointment. If you get this hostel for a cheap price, then we’d reccomend it. But if you get it for the £478 for 4 nights we paid, then it’s way overpriced. And ignore the photos and the room paying for. Will try and post some photos of what is advertised and what we got so you can check when/if you book. Obviously , I will update this review if there are any changes. Though management don’t seem to care with the 10% insult.
Agnus Unawatuna
4.6/571 Reviews
Agnus Unawatuna is a little up into the hills, but the trip up is so worth it. The place is serene and the view is breathtaking; you get a top-down view of the ocean in all its glory, and you can even enjoy the view of the famous Galle Fort and Lighthouse from a distance. Service and amenities are amazing, and facilities are modern. Rooms are clean and well-equipped. It was a wonderful experience and the perfect place for a personal retreat! Would definitely come again if I have the chance, and have already recommended this place to some friends! Thank you!
Galle Fort Hotel

The hotel is still relatively beautiful, the service is very warm, the room is large, the bed is relatively high, the lady may be slightly troublesome, but the hotel as a whole is still very beautiful, it is recommended, the location is better, the location is good, the location is not in the ancient city, because the ancient city is not big
Araliya Beach Resort & Spa Unawatuna- Where You Meet the Sea All Year
4.3/564 Reviews
Everything you would except from a huge 5* hotel including a buggy to take you from place to place. There were too many families and kids for my liking and I found this hotel too loud. There wasn’t anywhere other than my room where it was quiet enough to read my book. The sand on their private beach is a bit gritty. Service is slow because they’re busy. I had lunch at the beach club. I asked if the devilled prawn wrap comes with fries and was told it doesn’t so I ordered a portion of fries. The fries came out way earlier than the wrap. When the wrap did come out it came with fries. The tails had not been taken off the prawns in the wrap! It was a bit of a mess but they were spicy and nice. They did take the fries off my bill. I booked the “sense of touch” 90 minute massage at their spa. It was so good - the closest thing you’ll get to a deep tissue massage here. And I used the steam room afterwards which got really hot to the point you can’t see anything. I did feel super relaxed afterwards and slept so well. The breakfast and dinner buffets had good choice and the food was good. They provided me with a packed breakfast at 4:45am when I went whale watching in Mirissa. That contained a pastry, a couple of sausages, madeira cake, a boiled egg, sandwich, orange juice and water. Pretty good. The bath in my room was huge. Couldn’t figure out how to drain the water though. All the boutique shops, local cafes and restaurants are nearby if you don’t want to dine in one of the many restaurants at the hotel.
