We have been in 2 other countries in asia before, but this was by far our best hotel! We stayed with family and where immediately greeted with a warm cup of tea. We had a lot of questions to begin with and needed a driver for the rest of our trip, and the cordial service manager was so helpful and she even organized an all inclusive driver for us. Also Linda & Ashley from the hotel team helped us to the maximum extend and even stayed in contact with us via wechat, even though we already left Fuzhou, just to make sure that our trip is going smoothly and we can enjoy a great time in beautiful China. It is just excellent and outstanding service! The hotel itself is located directly on the west side of the UNESCO world heritage site of Sanfang Qixiang and when you turn right after exiting the main lobby you enter the site. The hotel is built in the same style and flair of Sanfang Qixiang "The Beverly Hills of China" and has a lot of ambiance and elegance to it. Thanks to the 24/7 reception I was even able to get two ice packs for my swollen foot late at night There is also a coffee machine in the lobby that serves great coffee and tea and infused water and the breakfast is one floor down and has tasty vegetarian buffet. Also in the room you are greated with a tea set and a plate of fresh fruits local to the region. We were even able to send post cards from the hotel reception. Just a stellar experience! If you decide to see the beautiful cultural heritage site, then I can whole-heartedly recommend the San Po Hotel / Sanbaobindi Hotel in Fuzhou!! You will not regret it.

We stayed here for 4 days and it exceeded our expectation. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Pleasantly surprised by how clean the room was. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities, including the complimentary Wi-Fi and well-stocked minibar, were top-notch. The location is perfect – close to major attractions but tucked away enough to provide a quiet retreat after a busy day. I also loved the on-site restaurant, which offered a delicious vegetarian breakfast with a wide variety of options. The customer service was exceptional. The staffs, Ashley (Front Office Manager), Roy Huang(Guest Service Manager) and Eric (Guest Service Manager) went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, from offering personalized recommendations for local sights to accommodating special requests promptly. I can’t recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a combination of luxury, convenience, and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip!

My wife and I recently spent a few days at the Fuzhou Sanbaobindi Hotel for a much-needed getaway, and it was, without question, the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. Situated in the heart of Fuzhou’s historic Sanfang Qixiang district, the hotel was the perfect base for exploring the cultural treasures of old Fuzhou—all within easy walking distance, including access to the metro. From the moment we stepped in, the experience was exceptional. We were warmly welcomed with traditional tea and snacks, and the check-in process was a breeze—under three minutes! Our room overlooked a beautifully manicured Chinese garden and perfectly balanced traditional design with modern comfort. Every detail in the room was spotless, showing a clear respect for the historical architecture. The true highlight of our stay, however, was the level of care and hospitality provided by the staff, especially our guest services manager, Roy Huang. Roy went above and beyond, offering us night snacks and daily desserts and taking time to share insights into Fuzhou’s rich history and culture. Our conversations with him were a true pleasure—learning about the city’s architecture, the hotel’s own story, and even the local tea culture, which he introduced us to with great care and knowledge. It’s rare to meet someone who makes you feel so genuinely welcome. Roy’s attention to detail and kindness transformed our stay into something extraordinary. We left Fuzhou with a much deeper appreciation for the city, and it was all thanks to the team at the Sanbaobindi Hotel. If you’re looking for an authentic yet refined stay that captures the spirit of traditional Fuzhou, I couldn’t recommend the Sanbaobindi Hotel highly enough. A heartfelt thank you to Roy and the entire staff for making this trip truly unforgettable.

Good location and excellent ambiance.

Excellent service. Great location within SanfangQiXiang if you wish to explore this place since we can’t even finish visiting all the different cultural centres and the shopping in the bustling streets within the huge area in our 3 days 2 nights stay. Breakfast is vegetarian but variety is huge and good. Staff has been so friendly and helpful. They gave us tips about exploring useful apps in China especially for overseas tourists like us. They even helped us book our massage, send detailed instructions to help us navigate and helped me with rejecting my purchases when the delivery came later than I had expected. The whole ambience around the hotel and the room access to the beautifully designed gardens gave us a lasting impression. The warmth of the staff team lingers on and set the standard so high that we inevitably compared with the next hotel we went and can’t help to keep thinking about how much better the staff here has been! Regardless who are on duty, all have been so helpful! Rooms are extremely clean and smells good! Everything looks pretty new and the bed is very comfortable. The pictures provided by the hotel are as good as what we saw and experience!

Hotel is very convenient to sanfang qixiang and dongjiekou shopping streets within walking distance. Attracted by building architecture and chinese cultural aspect. Room is connected to a lovely garden. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Vegetarian breakfast has a good spread.

A very nice cultural hotel with great location. Everything is great. Clean, comfortable and is indeed a unique experience to stay. Kids were very happy with the activities provided by hotel. All the staffs are very helpful as well in helping us navigate the town and helping us book transport for a big group. There are 14 of us and we have great impression of the hotel. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Fuzhou. A must visit for tourist who wants to experience cultural hotel!

very good hotel, and location is perfect

Welcome fruit for the first night: delivered upon entering the door. The environment is oriental, quiet, and clean. There are also children's handicrafts, lacquer fans, and beads. It is convenient for travel and is close to Sanfang Qixiang. It is worth recommending!

Sanbao Guesthouse was surprisingly good, exceeding my expectations. The location is perfect, convenient for everything. Located in the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys area, each courtyard offers unique views. The housekeeper even upgraded the room this time. The room is spacious, with its own private courtyard. I was pleasantly surprised to see the "Origin of Surnames" displayed on the coffee table upon check-in! The room was well-stocked with complimentary tea, fruit, and snacks, along with a serving of fresh fruit daily. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious with a wide variety of vegetarian options. Our housekeeper, Qinyue, helped us with our luggage upon check-in, and she and our housekeeper, Zhang Xuan, were also very welcoming. We also received a special gift upon check-out: Fuzhou olives and a handmade incense plate made by the housekeepers. It was exquisite and I loved it. I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Fuzhou!

My favorite part of this three-day, two-night trip to Fuzhou was staying at the hotel. It's very close to the Love Tree on the main thoroughfare of Sanfang Qixiang, just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel environment, service, and soundproofing were excellent. I usually sleep poorly, but Sanbao helped me sleep through the night. I'd stay here again if I had the chance. The housekeepers, Qin Yue and Zhang Xuan, were also very helpful. The taro paste I ordered for takeout was lost, and when they heard me on the phone, they immediately delivered the hotel's taro paste and sweet night soup. It was delicious! The breakfast at the hotel was also very good. Since it's a vegetarian restaurant, it's mostly vegetarian, but the food was delicious!
