The hotel's location is very close to Michelangelo Square, a 5-minute drive away. It is very convenient to go to the square in the morning to see Florence; the staff are friendly and the recommended restaurants and tourist routes are great! The villa has a beautiful environment, but the only drawback is that there is no hot water kettle or coffee machine in the room.

Parking is very convenient and there is a large yard. The front desk staff are very enthusiastic and can help introduce travel routes and help with luggage.

The staff was very friendly...the facilities were also great...it was great value for money.

Small room, poor accommodation

O hotel é afastado do grande centro pois é no alto da serra, mas é lindo, staff muito educado e agradável, totalmente petfrendily, ar condicionado chuveiro perfeito! Nota 9 para o hotel. Porque o unico ponto negativo é o café da manhã que não possui uma máquina de café e temos que pedir para uma única funcionária preparar o seu café. Deveria investir uma máquina de café e ter prosciutto e burrada no café italiano.

Quaint little hotel away from the city surrounded by trees and a nice garden area to enjoy some quiet and peace. There is ample parking space. Saverio at the front desk was really welcoming and helped us with our bags to our room which was at the second level. He was very helpful providing all required information on attractions, restaurants and directions. This place is a 40 min walk from the city and you can take a bus from near the hotel, however if you want to in the heart of the city this is not the place.

We arrived early and were allowed to leave our car in the car park - which was super helpful as we could then go and explore all the attractions. Christian, front of desk, was very polite and accommodating. The location of the hotel is great as it is just outside the city centre so quieter. Christian booked us a cab to get into town which was really helpful. The rooms were of a decent size and very clean. Breakfast in the morning consisted of cheeses, hams, scrambled eggs, bread rolls - all satisfying. We are contemplating a return journey to Florence and another stay at the hotel.

The hotel grounds and reception looked lovely, like a quaint little village hotel. However, we were shocked and extremely disappointed when we were shown our room. The room was so small we could barely move around it without bashing our legs on the ridiculously low bed - almost futon level, which would have been fine if it was advertised as such. There wasn’t even air conditioning in working use. When we asked about this, we were told it was not possible to turn it on as it was centralised air conditioning, and we were instead advised to open the window, which consequently led to being bitten by mosquitoes all night!! The bathroom was also tiny with a sink that we had to lean over, hurting our backs to use - we are both 5ft 2, so the sink was well below normal height. The cleaner didn’t bother to even replace the finished toilet roll for us when she cleaned the room. A very expensive bed and breakfast equivalent place, and highly overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend to anyone.

An old, pleasant, quiet and tranquil hotel with high standards , 1 km south of the Porta Romana. 2.5 km south of the river so our fitness was tested. Serviced by the erratic number 11 bus from the train station. The room was spacious, very clean with a new bathroom. The staff were knowledgeable, efficient and helpful during our 4 night stay. Breakfast was minimal with cereals, eggs, cold meats-and cheese on offer. The hotel reception closes at 8:00 pm with entry to the hotel be a code. Good restaurants close to Porta Romana. Expensive, like any worthy hotel in Florence.

We spent a few wonderful days at Hotel Villa Betania. It wasn’t just comfortable rooms that made our time there unforgettable, but also the exceptional helpfulness of the staff. Every employee was incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to assist us with anything. Moreover, they provided us with valuable advice for exploring Florence and its surroundings, which truly helped us make the most out of our trip. This hotel was simply the perfect choice, and I’m delighted to give them five stars!

After several years we came back and again loved it. Great location when you agree that a 30 min walk to the city center is just perfect. Very quiet, perfect mattress, very friendly staff, good coffee and breakfast, free and easy parking, over all great value!

Nice, historic property in a good location. No elevator and narrow staircase, it was a bit of a challenge with the suitcases. The issue we had in June 2023 was that the AC did not work. We opened the windows but there was no mosquito net, in the end we took our chances. We suggest putting fans in the rooms. It would have been much better for us, it was uncomfortable.
