Royalton Antigua Resort Reviews

This resort is NOT like in the photos at all. It's really rundown and ALL the staff are so unhappy - not their fault, I think it is management. But it is so sad to be around. All the guests would gather to chat about how awful the place is. It wasn't just us. We didn't meet anyone who was happy with the price they paid. It's probably equivalent to a three star all-inclusive. Maybe worth £700 for the week, not thousands! Even the beach was sort of pretty - but not like the photos they show. We left the resort and the beaches are stunning everywhere else. They were always running out of food/drink/kids clubs supplies The food at the buffet was ok but on two occasions I queued 40 mins and the family were never able to eat together The bedroom floor was sticky - mopping with a dirty mop Check in took an hour, and another hour and a half to get my bag to my room. Elevator doesn't often work - we were on the 6th floor out of 9 But the unhappiness of the staff is what will really bring you down. That was just sad. Also, don't book VIP - those private pool areas don't get sun! People were unhappy with it. The cabana pools were dirty too.

Great trip. The staff were helpful and courteous. Food was of an excellent standard with lots of variety. Set on a beautiful uncrowded bay with calm Caribbean sea. Unfortunatly the water-sports staff did not turn up for work so we were unable to utilise these facilities for one day of our trip. Rooms are large and spacious.

Very good, the beach is beautiful. The beach is very quiet, the buffet in the evening is more delicious than expected, and there is even braised oxtail. All drinks are free, and coffee is also free. The hotel environment is a little old, but it does not affect the use at all. The facilities in the park are very good, very suitable for children and parent-child activities

The hotel facilities are up to standard, and the waiters are very friendly. The restaurant is good, and the food is delicious, which is beyond expectations in an all-inclusive hotel. However, it is not recommended to drive by yourself, and you are not used to the road conditions when driving on the left side, so just stay in the hotel.

The bathroom was dirty, there was even a blood stain on the wall. It took me a lot of time to clean it up myself with paper towels. This shouldn't have happened! The catering is also not ideal, but you can eat enough. When you see that boiled banana is also a special dish, you should be able to imagine the approximate food standard. Cocktails are just a random collection of cheap drinks. Bloody Mary is a thick tomato juice + chili sauce. Unable to serve Mojito as mint was not available. Worst of all, the peaceful night and dinner by the seaside that we were looking forward to was ruined by the loud noise. And its intolerable noise, which only comes after sunset.

I booked it for someone else and the feedback was very good. The environment, facilities and services are good, and the food is delicious. I will continue to book here next time and recommend it to my friends around me.
