Absolutely loved it here and would definitely come back and visit if the price was right. Pool was lovely and warm, breakfast was great and the gym was even better

This hotel offers great value for money, with affordable prices and a beautiful environment. It is perfect for city dwellers looking to slow down and relax.

Lovely groups and views. Comfortable bed and reasonable sized room, but the shower curtain was smelly, and we had to ask for it to be changed. It took several phone calls and nearly an hour before someone came and changed it. Breakfast was quite good, but no eggs benedict offered, which was disappointing. Unfortunately, the pool was packed with children and families who didn't appear to be stating at the hotel, and the timings for adults only swimming were before breakfast and after dinner. I did not consider this a proper 5-star hotel facility since it seemed less private and more public baths. Having seen how busy the golf was, I felt maybe this isn't a private membership golf and spa hotel anymore. All in all, I did have a comfortable stay but found the hotel not private enough to make it a special experience, which is what I expected for the price and given its previous reputation in the community and in reviews.

Breakfast experience was horrible.. waiting over 20 minutes for cold fried eggs Also the ambience of was like sitting in a conference room.

It is a Beautiful hotel. You can drive up to the front door unload and park. Unfortunately the staff didn’t great use or say hi when we went check in. This I found impolite.  The room looks like new. Very clean and tidy. In my opinion the Bathroom needs updating. Overall I had a good sleep and was satisfied with the facilities, and the price 

Lady at reception was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. She helped us check in and get our room at 12pm which was excellent after driving for 3 hours. Room was warm, modern and clean with all the amenities. We ordered breakfast(room service) through the online ordering system which was slightly confusing ie it didn’t allow me to select only 1 person. Also, I didn’t realise that for the Scottish breakfast you would need to select toast from the Continental selection in order to get it. However, was pleasantly surprised that one of the ladies from the restaurant brought up to my room some toast and pastries. Only thing to improve on for the hotel is the coffee was very weak. I would recommend staying at the hotel. Love the grounds and the “castle” stately home look of the hotel.

The hotel is beautiful with fabulous facilities. The brassier restaurant was average and over priced for the quality of the food. The restaurant also add a standard 12.5% service charge which I didn’t agree with. Overall we had a good experience and would use the hotel again and would recommend.

Hotel staff and Duty Manager deceitful! Booked a hotel with a swimming pool to have a nice and relaxing holiday.After driving 10hrs from London arrived at Dalmahoy around 8pm.Very first thing my 6 yrs old asked if the pool was still open.And we have been told that they had to book us out to another hotel! I’ve told them that the purpose of me booking Dalmahoy was having a swimming pool and asked if the hotel they booked us out was having one,and been told yes by the receptionist.I’ve asked what the name of the hotel was and did a quick search on the internet .The hotel didn’t have any swimming pool!!Asked them why they didn’t informed us earlier as this is why we leave a phone number when we make the booking for things like that.And had a no proper answer from the manager.I have found few hotels with a swimming pool within same price range of Dalmahoy and requested to be booked out there at least.Manager pretended to call the hotels and told us that they didn’t have any rooms available.Then I’ve decided to call the hotels and see if it was true or not and voila!! The first hotel that I called had a room available to accommodate us!!!Confronted manager and asked why they kept lying to us since we arrived and been told that they have no financial agreement with the hotels I was offering and had to book us out to the hotel that they picked! I was shocked and upset to see how deceitful the staff and management was.They took our money in advance for the whole duration of stay and didn’t care about their customers afterwards.

The hotel was expanded on the basis of the old castle. Next to it is a golf course. The environment is unbeatable. The hotel service is terrible. From the hotel lobby to the guest room, you have to go through several corridors and change elevators. The hotel front desk did not provide any instructions. The locals also said they were confused. It is far from the city of Edinburgh and is only suitable for self-driving! Not recommended!

The hotel's surroundings are nice, but the hotel's services are average. The front desk service is OK, but some staff, such as the tall male service staff at the bar, make people feel very uncomfortable and are directly prejudiced against Chinese people. These subtle feelings will greatly affect your mood when staying in the hotel, so service is much more important than the environment. In short, I don't recommend staying here. Because of the bad feeling, I didn't raise my phone to take pictures even though the external environment was good.

Old golf course ⛳️ hotel 🏨, European-style rooms, rich breakfast, beautiful gardens, little squirrels running on the road ~ The 80cm bed in the room can be put together, and you can bring your children to stay for free without any extra charge. We didn't have an extra bed, and we could sleep together. I feel that the size of the room in the British hotel can't be increased

The room is cozy and exquisite, the Scottish plaid striped carpet is very distinctive, the castle-style hotel plus the golf course outside are far away from the hustle and bustle, Uber to the city is about 21 pounds, although it is not cheap, it is still very convenient occasionally, we like it very much. The service and dining are good, but the hotel does not provide two bottles of mineral water every day, except for the two bottles of water for welcome on the first day, which Chinese guests may not be used to. There is no supermarket vending machine to buy water here, and those who are not used to drinking tap water have to find a way by themselves.
