Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile - Hunter Square Reviews

We had a lovely stay at the Ibis on the Royal mile. Our room was modern, adequate in size. The temperature was just right and the bed comfortable. The location was excellent. We stayed at the back of the hotel and wasn’t bothered by a lot of noise. I would definitely recommend and will go back one day. An excellent choice and great value.

Ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile - Hunter Square is indeed a real surprise. It exceeds the boring standard of Ibis. We decided to stay at this hotel due to its location. As Diamond member, the hotel upgraded my room and provided all necessary welcome package. Thumbs up 👍! I didn’t expect this from Ibis. The breakfast was extremely rich and good. Another thumbs up! Some deficits to point out: (1) We found bugs in our room, the next day housekeeping did excellent cleaning, (2) The window was a massive issue, it couldn’t be opened widely (until ＜ 1cm). Probably Ibis management can pay better attention in future. Last but not least, front desks and other staffs were very friendly. ☺️

Perfect location in the old town. Within walking distance of all the attractions we planned to see.

Location is difficult to find. Should give more direction to come to this hotel from Edingburge Waverley train station as this hotel is up on the hill.

Only the street very noisy after midnight. Overall we had a comfortable stay.

The sweet twin room was lovely. We’ve got a nice window view, and soft comfy bed. Especially Loved the wardrobe, very well-designed.

The room is a little small but very clean. It's a little noisy facing the street, but the location is very convenient to the university and Prince Street. The Royal Mail is right outside. The hotel staff are very warm and friendly, and you can store your luggage for free.

Royal Mile is just outside the door, supermarkets and Starbucks are very close, super convenient, Chinese-friendly, with a water heater, breakfast is especially convenient, there are several Chinese restaurants around

There is nothing to say about the location, the Royal Mile is just outside the door, and it is also very close to the train station. I don't know if it's because it just happened to be in time for the Edinburgh International Art Festival. The cleaning on the first day was missed, and the room facilities are relatively old and smelly. But it still doesn't affect our love for Edinburgh. I really hope that we are still in Edinburgh every day when we open our eyes!

Great location for sightseeing in Edinburgh. The hotel is very convenient for going anywhere, and the staff were very kind. In the room, the door to the bathroom was poorly installed and could not be opened or closed, and the water pressure was completely weak even though it was on the second floor. The room is barely large enough to open two suitcases.

Just on the Royal Mile, the location is very good and convenient. It is also very close to the train station, but the train station is under construction. I almost died from exhaustion after carrying my luggage up four or five floors. It's the time for international artists, and there are artists performing at the door. There are many people and it's very lively, but the soundproofing of the room is pretty good and it's not noisy at all. I booked two rooms, and the other room was in the corner and there was no signal at all! During the peak summer season + international art festival, the room price is really expensive at 3000+. The room is a bit small for this price, but the hygiene is okay. But the breakfast is not delicious. It is recommended to just have a bite at the bakery next door.

The shower water is very good, the breakfast is good, but the room is very small and it is difficult to put a luggage. Another day there was no cleaning, even though we asked for cleaning, we also specifically told that the hotel failed to solve the problem in time, and finally just changed new towels.
