Xiamen Designer Hotels

Everything about my stay at the hotel was great. I had a late arrival, so its proximity to airport was the main reason i choose it. I walked to the hotel +- 500meter and arrived there at midnight. Reception was still available, although they had a selfcheckin service (my backup plan in case my flight got delayed). I got my key within minutes (thank you) and was greeted by a big spacious clean comfortable Mondriaan themed room. Shower was great, bed was super. Although close to airport, not a sound. I had to leave early so i couldb try breakfast. Checkout was done by Carl. Very polite professional young man who not only did the checkout, but also was helpfull in explaining the best way to get to the trainstation. He even arranged a taxi, and stayed with me until it arrived to tell the driver were to bring me. During the few minutes wait i was offered drink (iced tea) and a parting gift (box of almond pastries. My stay was short but very pleasant. The hotel is full of art pieces, a cute usher robot us driving around, staff is professional... i know where to stay. Thanks again Carl (pic just before checkout)

Several issues occurred during my stay that I feel could’ve been easily resolved had their housekeeping team been more vigilant. For example, the cold water didnt work from the bathroom faucet, no toilet paper, hairdryer was broken, and window couldn’t close fully. These were resolved eventually by the staff, but took multiple requests to get them to fix one thing. Almost like I made a request and they immediately forgot. At least the property is right next to a subway station. That’s its saving grace.

The room is warm, clean and clean The only fly in the ointment, I like to sleep quietly The soundproofing of the room is a little bit meaningless, of course, the price is still quite high. Of course, the overall stay is still very pleasant!

The butler very thoughtfully informed us of the snacks worth trying in the island’s snack street.

Good location, very close to a nice beach and a promenade. Nice swimming pool. Sometimes there was difficult to find an empty table at breakfast, so it is better to not go in peak-times.

It is a Western-style building from the Republic of China period, and it is said to have been a filming location for movies in the past. One of the things to see in Gulangyu is the architecture, but if you want to experience staying there, I highly recommend this place. As you can see from the photos, all the facilities are good, and they also provide fruit and drinks. This is a place I would like to stay again next time.

The hotel is near Neicuoao Pier, 1 minute away, very convenient. There is a beach about 5 minutes away, and the Academy of Fine Arts is behind the hotel. The environment is very quiet and suitable for a slow life. The beautiful sister in the store received us patiently and thoughtfully. The room arranged has a projector. It feels great to watch a movie with the family and enjoy the sea breeze at night.

I didn't have much expectations for the room at this price. As long as the location is easy to find, the room is clean, but this hotel surprised me. The location is very easy to find and accurate. The room was very new and clean, I can say spotless, the equipment was very adequate. The hot water in the bath is very sufficient, and the hair dryer is also very powerful. The projection TV is very clear and big. Small tables and chairs are enough for dining and work. The room is not small at all. Contact the merchant and answer very quickly and clearly. There are only a few minor drawbacks, but they are all fine: The door cannot be locked, and some lack security. The location may be near the small community, so the environment is relatively quiet, there are not many shops to visit, but there is a small supermarket opposite, there is also a small convenience store on the other side, basic supplies can still be bought. Great location in the center of the city. Our room had a large balcony to the street, it was nice to listen to the city life and voices from below. Our driver that took us to the Tulou told us this beautiful house used to be the People's Court of Xiamen - and it definitely feels like a place with a history. It has a small café downstairs, and friendly staff, who gave us some tea as a farewell gift. The only thing we didn't like was the aircon that was a bit too cold and we didn't find a way to regulate it in the room.

First of all, the front desk service is very good. There are not many people traveling during off-peak hours and they helped to upgrade the room. Self-driving is highly recommended. If you are not driving by yourself, the location is a bit out of the way. You rely on taxis to travel. When you book for the first time, it is written above ➕5 yuan to get a Gulangyu stamp. The tickets seemed to be there, but the reservation failed, so I went in to see if they were all ➕30 or 35. The tickets for the Botanical Garden were given as a free gift. I couldn’t help but bundled the tickets together since I was already on the way. Overall, it was quite affordable. After all, buying the Botanical Garden costs 30/ Man, there is a smell of cigarette smoke in the room. The kettle for boiling water is very dirty. I wanted to make noodles. When I take a shower, the water always splashes outside and the ground is wet. Then the slippers for taking a shower are not dry when I put them on. It feels very bad. This breakfast is provided, but I really need to pay attention to the hygiene. The fruit is so dirty and the best thing is the eggs. The hygiene of the bedding is OK, the projection is also good, and the staff's attitude is also very good.
