Daocheng Sanmao Homestay Reviews

Our flight from Daocheng to Chengdu had rescheduled, so we choosed to stay at Daocheng Sanmao Homestay by chance. This ******* homestay run by a lovely and friendly couple. The lady speaks English fluently. She recommended us to try the delicious noodle in Daocheng and also suggested us to visit the white pagoda and local dancing in the evening. If you visit Daocheng, please stop to stay here!

The young owners were very welcoming, helpful and suggested different itineraries for us to choose from. Their coffee is heavenly. The room is clean and cozy with floor heating. Shower has instant hot water. We had a great time interacting with the hosts who shared their travel experiences and advice. They recommended 2 local eateries which served delicious tibetian and Chinese food. They also nice to check on us to ensure that we were safe when we didn't return as scheduled from our day trip. My friend has high altitude sickness and the host offered her their oxygen machine to help her. We felt assured that we can always contact the host when we need any help via wechat. We had an amazing Daocheng thanks to the 2 great hosts. I highly recommend them for your stay in Daocheng!

We stayed here only one night but felt very taken care of! The host is very kind and took care of all small details, like booking our bus tickets and leaving us a breakfast bag since we were leaving early. The location in town is really nice and the rooms comfortable. Recommended!

This hotel is a real gem, full of character with a beautiful courtyard . . . . Everything is perfect, extremely clean, warm with floor heating, and a very hot shower. The location is perfect, quiet but near to shops & restaurants, and just 5 minutes walk to the outdoor ******* dancing every evening. The friendly and helpful young couple who own it have moved to Daocheng from elsewhere in China because they love the place, and enjoy sharing their local knowledge of the area with visitors. Xiaofu (the wife) speaks good English, and as a foreigner, one can easily communicate using Wechat (Weixin). If you plan to to visit Yading, it's well worth staying at least a couple of days in Daocheng, as the landscape there is very different from Yading . . . . and very beautiful.

Our stay was amazing! The hosts are the best that I have had in many years. They helped us arrange everything we needed, and we loved them. The place is very chill, with amazing coffee, close to everything. Rooms are clean, big. I would rate 6 stars if I could Thanks for an amazing stay!

The B&B room is quiet, with bright sunlight indoors, and it is very comfortable to sit and drink coffee. The itinerary manager will also help with arrangements, which is very worry-free.

I came here on a business trip and met the boss Sanmao. He was very talkative and fun. Next time after work, I will bring my wife here to climb Aden. I hope the boss's shop is still there!

Starting with the welcome coffee, they were very kind and provided good information. The bedroom was comfortable and the bedding was made of cotton and soft. It was comfortable and I was able to sleep well. I want to come back again next time.

The courtyard is very cozy. The couple is warm and hospitable and takes the initiative to introduce how to travel around Daocheng and its surrounding areas. The boss is from Xi'an and is very talkative, which makes friends who only want to come to Daocheng once want to come a second time.
