Overall, it was pretty good. The hotel's interior environment was decent, with a 'Xianxia' (fantasy martial arts) theme and even Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) available. The room wasn't huge, but for families traveling with children, you could choose a room with a large and small bed. They also provided kids' toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers. Drying clothes wasn't super convenient, but there's a washer-dryer combo, and the front desk staff (both male and female) are happy to help with laundry. It was a bit warm when sleeping; perhaps a thinner duvet could be provided.

The environment is great, the bedding is comfortable, and the natural light and ventilation are good. If I go to Dalian again and stay in the area, I'll definitely book this hotel. The front desk staff is enthusiastic, and it's conveniently located. It offers great value for money, and my overall stay was very satisfying.

The room was quite spacious, and the surroundings were relatively quiet. The sea view room offered a beautiful vista, with trees, green spaces, yachts, buildings, and a cross-sea bridge, making it a more dynamic and interesting sea view than just the horizon. Compared to the Grand Hyatt, it offers better value for money. However, some details don't quite meet five-star standards, such as the lack of a swimming pool. On the plus side, the service attitude was excellent, and Keke from the front desk was particularly understanding and accommodating, which I greatly appreciated. If I'm ever staying near Xinghai Square again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. The sea view here is much more varied and less monotonous than a simple sea-and-sky horizon. Xinghai Park is very close by; it was fantastic to spend the morning playing on the beach there, then come back to the room for a shower, make some tea, and just relax while admiring the sea view.

This stay far exceeded my expectations, so I'm definitely giving it a full five-star rating. The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing, dining, and shopping. The lobby is elegant and clean, and the public areas are well-maintained. My room was meticulously cleaned, had no strange odors, and boasted great natural light and soundproofing. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the toiletries were complete and worked perfectly. I especially want to commend Bonnie at the front desk. She handled both check-in and check-out efficiently and smoothly, always with a smile, demonstrating peak professionalism. When I asked about nearby attractions, breakfast times, and various other questions, she answered each one patiently and thoroughly, even proactively offering helpful travel tips. Her perfect balance of attentiveness and professionalism really helped melt away the fatigue of travel. With both excellent facilities and warm, attentive service, this will be my top choice for future trips. I highly recommend it to all travelers!

A good hotel is key to a successful trip! This hotel is very close to Xinghai Square, and across the bridge is an amusement park. The paths are flat, perfect for strollers or 'baby walkers' (though the area right outside the hotel entrance has cobblestones, which can be a bit bumpy for strollers). The room environment is excellent. We are a family of five – four adults and one child – and stayed in the 'Star Blue' room, which was perfectly spacious. It had a 1.8m bed downstairs plus a tatami mat upstairs, and even a single sofa that could be used for sleeping. The space felt generous. There's also a private little courtyard where you can hang kids' clothes to dry (as long as it's not raining). The hotel has a laundry room with a dryer, so no more bringing dirty clothes home!

The rooms are elegant and comfortable, featuring high-end bedding and bathroom amenities that speak to their quality. Dansey's service was professional and attentive, with quick responses and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring an excellent experience from check-in to check-out. The sky garden, heated pool, and other facilities are all top-notch, making it the premier choice for both business and leisure travelers in Dalian. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, this hotel turned out to be the worst of my entire two-week trip around China. The staff was friendly, but they didn't speak any English. Overall, the hotel didn't seem particularly foreign-friendly. Simple requests like a fruit bowl or an adapter to charge phone baffled them. When I checked in, I found a clump of long black hair on the bathroom floor. I had to ask them to wash the floors again. The hotel didn't offer any apologies or compliments for this situation. Breakfasts were the most disappointing part. This hotel was the only place in China where I had a bad meal😭 The noodles and even the stewed cabbage were swimming in oil, everything was overly vinegary and garlicky, and there were no fruits, vegetables, or desserts. I ate there only twice in five days, and both times I suffered from severe heartburn. The positive moments are an ideal location and comfortable beds and pillows. I slept well there, even though the room's windows overlooked the highway and not the park as stated when booking.

The hotel is next to Xinghai Square. The location is very good. It is within walking distance. It is very convenient to visit Xinghai Square and eat seafood. The environment in the hotel is very good, the price is very high, and I will choose again next time I come to Dalian.

The sea view at Grand Hyatt Dalian is definitely the best in the city, situated right on Xinghai Square, with the beach just a short walk downstairs. The fan-shaped layout ensures almost every room has a sea view, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Xinghai Bay Bridge. The evening lights create a fantastic atmosphere. The heated pool offers great views, allowing you to enjoy the seascape even while swimming. The 'Chef's Table' buffet has a rich variety, especially with a good selection of seafood and desserts. The overall service was proper, and check-in efficiency was acceptable. The only minor drawbacks are that the hotel has been open for many years, so some facilities show a bit of age, and during peak season, breakfast can get crowded, requiring a wait for a table. If you're coming to Dalian and want to experience the city's premier sea view, the Grand Hyatt remains an excellent choice. You can enjoy the entire bay from the comfort of your bed, making for a very pleasant vacation experience.

This hotel was an excellent choice for my girlfriend and me during our Dragon Boat Festival trip to Dalian, offering a great balance of price, location, and ambiance. Right across the street, there's a comprehensive market where we found delicious and affordable seafood and cherries. We were assigned a newly renovated, large room that was incredibly spacious, completely odor-free, and well-designed for comfort, even allowing for some work. The air conditioning temperature was just right. The front desk service was outstanding; check-in was quick, and when we forgot our room card in the middle of the night, they immediately issued a new one. Highly recommended!
