"The Residence offers a cozy, small space that's perfect for a short stay. Despite its compact size, it is incredibly flexible and well-designed to maximize comfort and convenience. Whether you're in town for a quick business trip or a weekend getaway, The Residence provides all the essentials you need for a pleasant stay. Highly recommended for those seeking an efficient and comfortable accommodation option."
"Not well maintained, the room smelled like wet and mold.
One thing that made us very unhappy was that the curtains wouldn't close completely, so the light would come in in the morning at 6 am.
The steam room was disgusting, with broken floor and mold.
There were alcohol bottles hidden in the spa room, and in the gym cabinets - I LL let you guess who might have been drinking...
Good location, clean room.
Below average breakfast"
"This is a small hotel that amazes me, an old villa remodeled. I am looking at the delicious Japanese restaurant in the Trip.com user reviews. I decisively chose to stay because Sri Lanka is very tired. The best choice is that there are delicious foods near the hotel. I don't need to charter a car to return to the hotel and go out to find food. Stayed for a few days, the hotel itself was opened by the Japanese, the management was very good, the staff was very high, polite, punctual, and helped me return the hand left in the restaurant to the room. The passport cash inside was complete. There are not so many choices of Japanese food, but the quality is very good! The hotel is spotless, it is recommended to install an exhaust fan in the toilet, and a self-service laundry room is perfect."

"Perfect location. Hotel rooms are big and clean. Customer care and room service was excellent. Recommend this place for your short vacations with family and friends."
"A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen.
We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed.
Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel.
All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel."
"Manipati Hotel in Colombo, an old house built in 1906, was once the private residence of the Correa family. Stepping into the hotel, it feels like traveling through time and space, and deeply appreciates the texture polished by time. The hotel cleverly retains the original colonial architectural details and historical and cultural atmosphere. The hotel has only a few rooms, and my room was unexpectedly upgraded with a small garden. A chair and a small coffee table in the corner became a good place for me to read. In the morning, squirrels jumped between the trees, green parrots played on the white walls, and I enjoyed a quiet time in the swimming pool in front of the door. Thank you!"

"The hotel is not new, but the room was clean and some colonial styling makes this not new at all unnoticeable. The rooms are not very large, rather for single travelers or for a short stay, one night. Good job by the staff."
"I stayed there for a night and extended the stay for one more night.
There's a kettle, water, glasses and cups, coffee and tea, a fridge, bottles of shampoo/conditioner and lotion. You can have breakfast on the sixth floor, and there's a great café called Grind nearby. Two supermarkets - Spar and another one - within 5-10 minutes on foot.
The towels had tone cream spots on them, and they don't seem to clean every day (on the second day, i called to ask for some water and toiletries, but only got water). Besides, i heard the noise of the vacuum cleaner in the hall at 9:30 pm - i requested a quiet room and was trying to fall asleep, so that was disappointing."
"Staff was very friendly and helpful , no laundry service was drawback, room service was bit slow and Breakfast was ok as all varieties was not fresh
Means not much hot say dhosa idli not hot at all annd when we ask they use to

Outstanding
AAmila MoonamaleI recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, tidy, and well-maintained, making it worth every penny. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast offered a great variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. From fresh fruits to hot dishes, everything was delicious and well-prepared. The overall ambiance of the hotel was pleasant, and the amenities were top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers. It’s a great value for the money, and I would definitely stay here again!

Very Good
KKrikenberkRosheenI recently had the pleasure of staying at Cinnamon Lake, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was treated to top-notch service.
The checking-in process was seamless and efficient, thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff Govindu and Tharanga. They made me feel like a valued guest, taking the time to explain all the amenities and services available. Their warm smiles, attentive nature, and genuine enthusiasm made all the difference.
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and tastefully decorated.
Throughout my stay, the staff continued to impress me with their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. Except few staff Lobby Bar and also the person who work night shift with DM on 17th March.
I experienced an issue with my room kettle and when I tried to contact the operator, they didn't answer. I took it to the reception to check if the issue was with the kettle or the plug point. Unfortunately, one of the staff member standing next to Duty Manger (17th March, Midnight shift) at the reception was laughing and making funny faces, making me feel embarrassed.
I appreciate DM response in sending a new kettle to my room. However, I hope the hotel can address the staff's behavior to ensure guests feel respected and attended to properly.
Restaurant staff at breakfast Chef Iran (who marking hoppers)and the lady who was with the Saree) friendly, courteous, and eager to please.
In short, my stay at Cinnamon Lake was outstanding, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay.

Very Good
GGuest UserLovely stat at the cinnamon red hotel , friendly receptionists staff and room cleaners , we enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer including the great buffet, bar and swimming pool. I will definitely be going back! It’s in a great location close to all the famous tourist destinations in Colombo.
GGuest UserClean, comfortable with nice view to the Indian Ocean. Very good gym with view to the ocean. Good massage service but very expensive. The breakfast was excellent. Good location in the city center, next to the USA embassy but very dark outside at night. Many restaurants around but the hotel has also excellent restaurants. The roof swimming pool has nice panoramic view but it was crowded.
GGuest Userheaven in columbo.fabulous out of this world stay and views.superb restaurants.really fabulous . beautiful hospitality . relaxing and pampered feel
PPriyaMandarina Colombo is a modern hotel with clean rooms and a hot shower, offering easy access to the city. PickMe rides are readily available, and it's about a 40-minute drive from Bandaranaike Colombo Airport.
The hotel is conveniently located, just an 8-10 minute tuk-tuk ride from Gangaramaya Temple and the surrounding lake. The room was well-equipped with coffee and tea sachets, a kettle, bottled water, basic toiletries, and fresh towels. The bed and pillows were comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest.
Facilities include a mini gym and a rooftop pool, adding to the overall experience. A great choice for business travelers, couples, or anyone looking for a short, comfortable stay in Colombo.
BBeeshman BahiradanGreat location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean and stylish. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
GGuest UserThe hotel is quite clean, there is a swimming pool, there was no refrigerator in the room, the food in the restaurant is not very suitable for Russians, they cook unusually and not tasty. The food in the restaurants of Unyvatuna was much better. The location is very good. If you have not been to Colombo before, I highly recommend taking a tour from a tuk tuk driver, they offer tours at the hotels. You can negotiate for 4000 rupees. He will briefly tell you in English and drive around Colombo for 3 or 4 hours. We saw all the main sights and the driver waited at the temples and museums. Despite the fact that at the resorts they offer to pay for a tour of the same places, but with a Russian guide for 100 dollars per person. The price is not justified.
GGuest UserGreat place to stay. Everything was great. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. Wi-Fi was good. Breakfast was nice. Staff were so helpful, welcoming and polite. Location was good
RRajaratnam ChitranganAmazing location and friendly staff and clean rooms. Will be a added bonus if we can have Jaffna food Available all day from lunch time till midnight. Great experianca. Well done
