I booked a single room, but it was paid for 30 € and changed to a luxurious room in a double room. I didn't know why I was paid because I couldn't speak English, but was the room filled?
It was a pain in unexpected expense, but the room was large and very nice room, and it was a very good stay because it was soaked in the bathtub for the first time in a long time.
I want to stay next time, but what if I pay an additional fee again ... I'm worried.

The guy at the front desk was very nice. When we arrived at the hotel around 11 o'clock, the guy checked us in in advance. At noon, we ate at a French-style restaurant nearby, which was worth trying. In the afternoon, we wandered around the area and went to the hometown of the little prince. We saw the famous Lyon murals and visited the Notre-Dame de Fourvière Church. Lyon is such a leisurely city. , a very satisfying trip. The only drawback was that it rained when we went back at night, so it was very convenient to just take a taxi.

Nice location , great staff at the front desk , rooms are well equipped and very clean , tv channels can keep you up to date news and music and the breakfast was very delicate and delicious . I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend in Lyon France .

Had a great dinner here, the breakfast was cooked in the same restaurant, some of the hot dishes were very similar to what we had for dinner, a little more expensive but the quality was worth it. The building itself where the hotel is located is great and a sight to behold by the river. It is surrounded by direct access to Lyon's core attractions such as Passion Fruit Square, the Old Town, the Cathedral, and Notre Dame de Fourvière.

The staff were polite and professional, always ready to assist. The dining options were good, with a decent selection of dishes. The location was convenient for exploring Lyon, making it a practical choice for my stay. While not extraordinary, it was a solid and comfortable option for a visit to the city !

GGuest UserWe stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023.
The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour.
The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts.
The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer.
The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day.
We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price.

GGuest UserI rarely post reviews, but this hotel is really worth recommending. It is very cost-effective, large and very clean. It is even more pleasantly surprised to be equipped with an induction cooker and kitchenware.
The stay experience is very good, with a five-star level of comfort.
Because I came to Lyon with a bicycle, the disadvantage of the hotel's location is only half an hour more riding time for me, but the price is actually half the price of hotels in the city center.

SSimoensThis hotel is located close to the ‘autoroute du soleil’ which is why we picked it on our way south.
Downsides: it’s located in a very industrial area, with a huge factory just next to it. There’s no fridge in the room.
You pay 100 EUR on average/night for a double room which is quite overpriced if you ask me, but it’s just the price you pay for a clean room in French cities.
Plus: friendly staff, secured parking, decent breakfast, clean room. In just a 5 min drive you can reach the highway again and continue your road trip. Rooms were quiet.
We had an issue upon check-out due to Trip.com having provided wrong information to the hotel (I had paid for a room with breakfast to Trip.com and the hotel couldn’t see the same on their reservation system so they thought I hadn’t paid for breakfast.) It was the first time I booked a room via Trip.com. It took me a while to find out how I could talk to their customer service.
After 5 min of chatting with customer service, I got one of their assistants on the phone who talked to me first, then to the hotel staff and after the talk, trip.com asked me to pay the hotel for my breakfast once again and said they would refund my breakfast, which they meanwhile did.
But all in all we nearly lost an hour of our precious vacation time due to this issue, which is why I’m very reluctant in using trip.com for a second time. I never had these kind of issues with booking.com or hotels.com.

RRihab YakoubiI recently stayed at the Eklo Lyon hotel and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is incredibly clean and well-maintained, with a modern and stylish decor that creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. But what really stood out to me was the friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone I interacted with was genuinely welcoming and eager to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Lyon, with the Tram conveniently located right in front of the hotel. This makes it incredibly easy to get to the city center and explore all that Lyon has to offer. Additionally, the hotel has a great vibe, with a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
The breakfast at the hotel was also a highlight. There were plenty of options available, with something to suit every taste. From fresh pastries to eggs, everything was delicious and well-prepared.
Overall, I highly recommend the Eklo Lyon hotel. The combination of its clean and comfortable rooms, convenient location, friendly staff, and delicious breakfast make it a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Lyon.

KKANThe best thing is to have free parking spaces, which are really rare in the city, but the parking spaces are first come first served. If you arrive in the evening, it is basically impossible, and it is recommended to stop the car and don't drive. It is not convenient to drive in the city.
The room is small and the design is not very reasonable. The 7-day standard is still equipped with a sink in the corridor. It is better to use the space in the area near the bed.
The service is reduced because there is always no one at the front desk. I want to check out twice and can't find anyone. I really don't want to take the time to put the key at the front desk.
The location is convenient, next to the literary and art neighborhood, in fact, the feeling of the cement forest, in a building and patio that is abandoned and actually lives, there are many graffiti, standing in the parking lot can see the river opposite.

TThomasBGMy overall conclusion is that this was a nice hotel which was worth the money paid, but that doesn't mean I liked absolutely everything there. The important stuff - it was spacious, it was quiet, it was very clean. The not so important, but could bring you some nail bites - the reception works until 9pm - and after that you're on your own. If you have a late check-in... there was no communication from the hotel side prior to that, so it was a surprise. Luckily the phone seen somewhere on the wall lead me to calling someone (after midnight actually) who told me on the phone a code for the safe holding the envelope with my key. But if the hotel door was locked (and it usually is)... I don't know what I would do. But apart from that, everything else was a pleasure. Thanks!
