Raceway Motel Reviews

Our room has an earthy, musky scent that is associated with a dame environment. The shower does not have proper partition to separate it from the rest of the toilet and some water still retains at the shower floor. That properly has contributed to the dam environment. Other areas also not clean. The low price is very low though.

Room is quite spacious even it’s a motel. There’s 1 small dining table in the kitchen. The motel is not far from the city center, only few minutes of driving. No lift so avoid big luggage. Many free parking spaces in the motel areas.

The room is large and spacious. Private full kitchen is provided for your cooking. The whole room is well partitioned into sleeping area, washing room and kitchen which are all tidy and clean. The manager is friendly and can chat with you on different topics. Wifi signal is strong.

We needed a simple, affordable place to crash for one night, and Raceway Motel did the trick! Sure, it's basic, but the price was fantastic and the location couldn't be beat.

Stay was great and more then like would stay there in the future

What a lovely stay this was. Close and convenient to where we needed to be the next morning. Greeted by a vary gracious host who walked us to our room (never has this happened before at similar places we stayed at). Apartment was just what we needed for a family of 4 & so neat and tidy. Will definitely stay again.

We drove up to Christchurch for the Killers Concert and Raceway Motel was the perfect location, so close to the arena. On top of that the room was lovely and had a Kitchenette for incase you want to cook which was a nice surprise. The staff were super friendly and welcoming too, nicest customer service experience I’ve had in a while. Would definitely come back :)

The wifi is limited to 500MB per person, the speed is very slow, and the connection is often disconnected. There is a charity shop and a Chinese noodle restaurant next to it, which is convenient for cooking. There is a gas station next to it. It is not far from the Dahuang Supermarket.

The room was clean and tidy, but a little old. It was quite large, with a double bed and a single bed. The kitchen and bathroom were independent. The owner was warm and thoughtful. I chose this hotel mainly to catch the 7 o'clock train to Picton the next morning. It is about a 10-minute walk to the train station.

Receptionist Very polite and hospitable The boss and his family live in the back So any problems can be dealt with quickly If you have a car, you can pass through Christchurch or simply stay for one night. High cost performance, highly recommended But don’t expect new facilities inside the Motel. Motels are always just for short stays

Very, very good room, the old man is very welcoming, very close to the bus station, only 20 minutes from the city bus, the room facilities are very complete, the room is clean and tidy.

There is a kitchen, the microwave is very useful, and there are also tablewares at a very good price.

Although the accommodation is a bit old, the cleaning was very good. The owners were friendly and gave us plenty of Wi-Fi coupons.

The facilities were old, but clean, and the kitchen and dining room were separated, making it very comfortable. The owner couple were also very nice people.
