"I highly recommend this hotel, particularly for families. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is ideal, with multiple kids friendly shopping malls and supermarkets nearby and the JR station just a one-minute walk away. The staff’s professional and attentive service was truly impressive."
"I booked this hotel specifically for a concert, and its proximity to Makuhari Messe made it incredibly convenient – just a 10-minute walk! You can take an express airport bus directly here from Narita Airport. There's an outlet mall right across the street, and a large shopping center is just a 10-minute drive away, making it excellent for shopping. Although it's in the suburbs, there are plenty of convenience stores nearby, so finding food and drinks isn't an issue. The JR station is only a 3-4 minute walk, and you can take the Chiba Line directly to Disneyland and the city center without any transfers. I was extremely satisfied with the transportation options!
The hotel room was on the smaller side, especially the bathroom. In a double room, the bathroom was barely big enough for one person, and the low ceiling might be inconvenient for taller guests. However, the hotel itself was very clean, and housekeeping tidied the rooms daily.
The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. Although they didn't speak Chinese, English communication was perfectly fine. They assisted with booking taxis and storing luggage without any problems.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel. I was very satisfied with the value for money at this price point. It's definitely a great choice for anyone attending concerts!"
"The hotel is very conveniently located, close to both the JR station and the exhibition hall. It's a 90-year-old establishment; while it appears to have undergone renovations, the rooms still use traditional key locks. The service was excellent, and breakfast was decent. A direct airport bus service is also a huge convenience."
"Wer had a good stay at Sunroute Chiba Hotel The location is excellent, within the Chiba Station thus very conveninent to go anywhere. The hotel is very good. Room is very clean with all amenities available.
I would recommend Sunroute Chiba Hotel to all my friends who are travelling to this area."
"The rooftop onsen is fantastic, even better than what you'd find at most hot spring hotels in Tokyo. The hotel is conveniently situated right above the Immigration Bureau, which is known for its long queues. This makes it incredibly convenient to stay overnight and just go down to grab a queue number first thing in the morning."
"I chose this hotel when booking for the Star Wars Celebration event in 2025. While my husband was not able to attend, my 4 year old son and myself stayed at this hotel. The staff were extremely courteous and kind. The amenities were very nice and my son was able to join me in the women's bath. Which he was so happy to be apart of as my husband wasn't able to join us for this trip. At one point my kid got sick. The hotel staff cleaned our room upon request and provided thermometer and other amenities for my child. This was above and beyond. Highly recommend and if we visit Chiba, we will stay here again."
"The service here was immaculate from day one, the staff spoke English which was very helpful and they were always so attentive and polite. The days we were there, unfortunately was raining, however the hotel provided us with umbrellas making it very convenient for us. The rooms are a bit small for two large suitcases but everything else you need is in that one room, including a bathtub! They also provide free amenities in the lobby which really topped it off for us. It was a very clean and comfortable hotel for our four-night stay. Thanks to the reception staff for being so lovely 😊😊"
"This is my second stay at the APA Hotel. I always choose to stay here whenever there's an event in Makuhari. The rooms are clean, and its proximity to the event hall is incredibly convenient. I also enjoyed the nice ocean view. However, the downside is that when major events coincide, the accommodation fees can double, making it difficult to visit frequently."
"Love this hotel! Love the location. Just that I have to pay for parking,,, not cheap but the staff are friendly and good. Highly recommend ! Esp the free amenities - like my black drip coffee ! Highly recommend/ not cheap- but it’s worth the price"
"My 5-night stay at Hotel Francs was very positive. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, offering a good night's sleep. The room size is standard for Japan, which was perfectly fine. The staff and housekeeping were excellent. The hotel's location is a major plus, being close to the train station and Mitsui Outlet, which has many restaurants and convenience stores. Getting here from the airport was also convenient via the limousine bus, which stops right in front of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel."

Amazing
MMurahariConveniently located just 2 mins walk from Kaihimmakuhari Station with easy access to nearby AEON shopping malls and various food outlets. Also ideally within minutes walking distance from Makuhari Messe Convention and Exhibition halls, makes Shuranza a recommended choice. As a plus, the in-house onsen is a welcome respite after a long day roaming around convention venues. Will definetly return for future visits.
GGuest UserGreat location, spacious room, the service from staff was excellent. My son left a toy car on the table after the breakfast. The staff found it and waited for us to return from outside and gave my son back the car! A very nice experience and will return in our next trip to Tokyo.
GGuest UserWe stayed here on my boyfriend's birthday. The room was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options, including Japanese and Western food, and onigiri rice balls made right in front of you.
WwtfisheryService from the staff was nice.. facilities was okay.. location was near the train station.. we didnt like the vibe of the area especially at night.. felt like the security in the area was very very poor. there are always a lot people camping around from the train station all the way to the hotel, trying to prey on people who are alone. they are always staring at me and my husband everytime we walk back from the train station. during our 1st night stay, my husband went down to the nearby combini alone and an obaasan kept following him asking if he wants massage service from hotel to combini and back to the hotel. then another night, we saw 1 girl got cornered by a group of guys while walking back to the hotel. she was obviously distressed but we are couldnt do anything since we are outnumbered. we didnt want to get into trouble so we can only walk away with guilt as fast as we could back to the hotel. drunk people everywhere. no police in sight during the few nights we were there as well. overall, definitely no issue with the hotel but we will not return to Chiba again.
AAnonymous UserThis is a fantastic place to stay. The staff is friendly and patient and the location is great for quick access to the train system. We were there for the Star Wars Celebration and it was fantastic to hop on without massive crowds. Between the train station and the hotel are a handful of food options, including two 7-11s, which stay open until midnight or later. Overall, we were pleased with our stay.
AAnonymous UserVery close to Chiba monorail Yoshikawagoen station. Friendly and helpful staff who speak English. Breakfast was excellent with many varieties. Highly recommend to eat the soft white bread. Very clean and spacious room which came with a queen size bed. Great value for the stay here. Would come again.
Ttetsu&poweeThe front desk staff are polite and the service is excellent.
The location is also close to the station, and there is a 24-hour Maruetsu Petit store in front of the station, so you won't have any inconveniences. When returning to the hotel from Disney, Chiba Minato Station is on the Chiba side of Maihama, so you don't have to take a crowded train to Tokyo.
LLini KaloumairaIt’s an older motel with front of house staff that have been working in the hospitality industry for a while. I arrived before the check in time (3pm ~), I was checked in just before 3pm which I didn’t expect. Courteous, friendly staff.
Breakfast was included in the 2 night stay - it was a simple Japanese meal that was easy sustenance - free servings of rice and soup. The staff made it a homely atmosphere with constant attention to guests asking them if they wanted more of what was available.
Room 720 faced the busy Highway but also had a great view that included sky tree. I could open the large single pane window and thought it was a unique point.
Cleaning staff were mainly foreign, all young and polite also. They knocked on doors to ask if rubbish needed removing and rooms cleaned.
I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant on 10F or the public bath and sauna - maybe next time.
suggestions:
(1) housekeeping: a quick dusting by cleaning staff (feather duster if not wet tissues) - the hotel is clean and even though it isn’t a 5 star hotel it makes a difference. The feather duster can easily reach corners of drawers and tables. Bathroom air filters can easily be cleaned with wet tissues.
(2) room cards for cleaning- more specific than a don’t disturb card. it will save time for housekeepers as they knock on room doors to ask if rooms need to be cleaned. They can focus on cleaning and do a better job on a hotel that has been kept going for a while.
RRyokoConvenient near the station. There are restaurants around and it is substantial. Arrived late at night, but it was smooth with automatic check-in. Breakfast is free and you wake up slowly in the morning and eat breakfast and leave. Because the breakfast venue is small, it is crowded because it was a holiday, so it is good that the hotel side devises so that the guests do not overlap too much.
