It's a boutique hotel don't expect 5 star amenities. But I will return the stay at gordnuea it's a quiet and peaceful loving place runner by a humble family, and the uncle there roast his own coffee beans from chiang mai itself and also has his own container cafe open infront of the hotel.

Amazing! The owners were friendly and kind, the breakfast was delicious, and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious, clean, quiet, and welcoming. We would absolutely stay again!
Also, the cafe on site is excellent: they roast their own coffee beans right there. Be sure to try the dirty coffee!

We love Gord Nuea The location is great. The hotel grounds is lovely. The owners, the wife and the husband are so friendly and genuinely kind people. If I come back to chiang mai I would definitely stay here again.

The room is quiet in a busy area, the service makes people feel at home, and the price-performance ratio is very high. The small courtyard is very cozy, and the roosters can climb the wall.

A very beautiful and warm family-style hotel, very clean. You have to take off your shoes when entering. The breakfast is delicious, but I recommend the dirty coffee sold in front. The taste is incredible. It is very close to the scenic spot. It is a very good place.

I have stayed here many times and reviewed many times, so I won’t say much more.
Frankly baffled that this hotel has such good reviews. This was the only hotel we have ever gone to where we checked in and then checked out immediately. This hotel is an extremely far cry from the 3-star hotel it is advertised as. When we entered our room we laid down on the rock hard bed and the AC was blasting directly on us, but we couldn’t re-direct it. There was one tiny lamp five feet away from the bed. Then we took off the duvet and uncovered a bunch of black hairs and stains (we are blonde). We went downstairs to ask for another room and were told it’s sold out. It was pouring rain and 6Pm and we ended up having to book a completely different hotel last minute. The host was not apologetic at all about the unsanitary conditions in the bed, she just said she saw the maid change the bed. Now I am trying to get a refund but the hotel is refusing to refund us. On top of the issues above, the hotel is far from the cute photos online. The garden is actually a parking lot. It’s down an alley away from the street. I would stay away as far as possible from this place.

The most wonderful place to stay. The owners were so friendly and helpful and it’s just one of those hidden places that really makes you feel good and happy about your travels. A wonderful place to relax and the coffee is the best I’ve ever had. Love this place and I can’t wait to get back there again. 10/10 without hesitation.

Can’t even begin to explain how much we enjoyed our stay here. We stayed here for 5 nights and it was perfect. It is a family run hotel and they are the loveliest, most helpful people, making suggestions and always chatting. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and spacious, we slept so well here. The setting itself is lovely and feels very naturey and peaceful. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous, cooked by the host each morning, and we even got mango sticky rice every morning. They brew coffee locally on site which was the nicest coffee I’ve ever had. Miss it here already!

This was our 4th time in Chiang Mai & our 2nd stay ik this hotel. And it was as good as I remembered! This is a family operated guesthouse and the owners are very friendly & helpful. The hotel is accessible through a little alley and when entering you find yourself in an oasis of calmh in the center of Chiang Mai not far from Wat Chedi Luang. The rooms are cosy and very clean and have a relaxing atmosphere. I personnaly don’t drink coffee but recently the owner has opened a small coffee bar (The Pegasus Café) for which he is very devoted. Try it, I don’t think you’ll be dissapointed. Next time in Chiang Mai, we definitly will stay here again!

It was a such enjoyable stay that we extended it for a few more days, luckily hotel had a last minute cancelation. The place is undesirable clean, free unlimited drinking water, the monogrammed white linens, comfortable beds, peaceful courtyard with a cute coffee shop. Don't forget to try Dirty Coffee here, at Pegasus Coffee & Roastery. It is the latest trend in Asia and so delicious. "Wake up and smell the coffee"... could experience this daily because Mr. Nong roasts his coffee in the sophisticated machine at the hotel's courtyard. Mrs. Nom offers basic breakfast (eggs, bread, jam, bananas, tea and coffee and local sweets/dessert) for free to the hotel guests. Additional breakfast menu is available to the more hungry guests and visitors (extra charge). The proprietors, Mrs. Nom and Mr. Nong, is a hard working couple; they make your stay at their place unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Could not relate this adorable hotel more highly. Perfect location, lovely staff, great rooms, and amazing coffee place within the premises as well! Would not hesitate to stay here again in the future if we are back in Chiang Mai. Could not recommend more highly - value for money here is incredible!

The Gordneua is a small family run hotel set back from a quiet road, but very central within the old quarter of Chiang Mai and its attractions. From the road you can not see it as it is at the end of a 30m drive (there is a sign at the entrance), set behind houses closer to the road. Therefore you would be forgiven for overlooking it, but you will be missing out on visiting a very special place. The hotel is a mixture of guest accommodation and the owner's quarters, set like a horse shoe around a beautiful and tranquil courtyard, where there are tables to eat your breakfast (excellent, very cheap, and huge quantity), have a cup of coffee (Nong, one of the owners is a skilled barista who even roasts his own beans), or just generally have a quiet moment of relaxation. Rooms are very clean, spacious and have very powerful air conditioning. I found the bed very comfortable and noticed how good the quality of the linen was. However, the thing that really makes this hotel so special is the proprietors, Nom (Mrs) and Nong (Mr). They are both so friendly and can not do enough for you, and they clearly want you to enjoy your stay with them. In some way, it felt like staying with your favourite relatives. This hotel was excellent value for money. It is described as 2* but I would rate it 3*, and a very good one at that. If ever I was in Chiang Mai again, this is the only hotel I would go to, not only because of how comfortable and pleasant I found it, but because I would want to see Nom and Nong again
