This is the real antique hotel with the traditional Chinese bed which makes you feel like you are staying in the art gallery. Every corner is the perfect spot for photoshooting. Usually, this kind of traditional Chinese furniture is easily found in the Museum but not the real case as a guest room. You are not just coming here for eye seeing, you can touch it and you can sleep on it. Be gentle on everything here for the appreciation of art. If you have kids who like to run here and there, think twice before you choose this hotel.
Besides, the room rate is very budget friendly which I feel like the hotel owner is like doing charity or truly wants to let the public know more about traditional Chinese furniture. With the room rate like RM1xx for 3 adults stay, they offer the complementary on 2 adult breakfast, free traditional Chinese wear for photoshooting purpose (as long as you don't bring it away from the hotel), free drinks at lobby for day time, free fruits in the evening inside guest room, free porridge in the evening until night at lobby.
Not to forget to mention the metro station is like a 1 minute walk away from the hotel. Within 3 to 5 KM, there are a lot of tourist hotspots, you may choose to take the metro or take a taxi or some place is just walking distance. My suggestion is taking a taxi from AliPay App will be the best choice as the taxi here is very budget friendly especially if you have 3 people onwards to share the taxi fare.
Oh ya, the hotel staff here is very helpful and friendly. The front office Ms Lee is very kind enough to share with us where to go and recommend us for the tourist scene. Both restaurant staff are also very friendly and treat the guests well. Special highlight to Ding Ding 丁丁, she is so sweet to everyone.
Lastly, I think this hotel is worth to be listed as one of the itineraries that must visit and stay if you are nearby. I can spend half a day here just to take photos with those Chinese costumes.
I hope hotels can maintain the budget price so that the public gets a chance for better traditional Chinese furniture exposure. They are not just offered the hospitality service, they are showing you the art and culture.
I was thoroughly impressed by Chengdu Mingyue Hotel after this stay! The room decor was simple yet elegant, and the mattress was perfectly comfortable – not too soft, not too firm. Coupled with the blackout curtains, I slept soundly until morning. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, proactively helping us plan our sightseeing routes, and even gifted us small panda-themed souvenirs. The hotel's heated pool was clean and sparkling, and the breakfast spread was extensive, offering everything from local Sichuanese delights to Western dishes. Overall, it was an incredibly satisfying stay!
Since we were traveling by car, parking was a major consideration when choosing our hotel. The family room here was perfect for our family of three, especially with our older child. Overall, the hotel was quite good. They even called after booking to confirm my specific requests. Check-in was quick, and the room largely matched the online photos. It came with all the standard amenities, plus a coffee machine, microwave, and a mini-fridge that worked perfectly. The room also featured a brightly lit desk, and natural light was abundant during the day. The hotel gym was well-equipped with disinfectant wipes, bottled water, and towels. Its location right next to the laundry room was convenient for multitasking and efficient time management. Breakfast tasted good, but the variety was limited. After five days, I grew a bit tired of it as the offerings were largely the same each day, with only a few cold and hot dishes rotated. Breakfast ended at 10 AM, which felt a bit early. For those who prefer a slower pace of travel, this might be when they're just waking up.

The Chengdu Taikoo Xirang Hotel was an absolute revelation! Its exterior, with traditional blue tiles and white walls, typical of Western Sichuan folk architecture, exudes incredible charm. Inside, the rooms embrace a warm and healing Wabi-sabi aesthetic, beautifully crafted with raw wood and micro-cement. Details like linen curtains and tatami mats add layers of exquisite texture. The aerial Japanese-style water garden, tucked away amidst bamboo groves, is a wonderfully serene spot to enjoy tea and the views – absolutely delightful. And their 6-step therapeutic ritual was incredibly relaxing. Its location is also fantastic, within walking distance of Wuhou Shrine and Jinli Street. The service was incredibly thoughtful, even including a complimentary fruit platter. All in all, it made for a comfortable and truly stress-free stay!
The service staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room's decor had a distinct Chinese flair and was very charming. The room was quite spacious, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean, offering excellent value for money. The room also featured a fresh air system and came equipped with a complete tea set, perfect for a relaxing tea ceremony. Robot delivery service was available. The laundry room was very busy in the evenings, so it's best to use it in the mornings during off-peak hours. There was also a table tennis table, but I didn't have time to try it. Additionally, the hotel boasts large conference rooms, which were quite busy with events throughout my stay. It's very close to the subway station, about 100-200 meters away. Wuhou Temple and Jinli Ancient Street are about 1-1.2 kilometers away, easily reachable on foot. Across the street, there are various fast-food restaurants and small convenience stores, making the overall location very convenient.
Throughout my 5-day stay, we received complimentary snacks and welcome fruit every day. For the first two days, we also enjoyed complimentary evening congee and sweet soup, which the kids absolutely loved. Unfortunately, this service was later discontinued, much to their disappointment. Breakfast was quite varied, offering both Chinese and Western options. The noodles and rice noodles were particularly delicious.
A few suggestions:
1. It appears the fresh air system might be affecting the air conditioning's effectiveness. The room temperature consistently hovered around 26.5°C and wouldn't go any lower, even with both the fresh air system and windows closed. While this temperature wasn't unbearably hot, after coming in from very high outdoor temperatures, we would have preferred a cooler room upon arrival.
2. I suggest they continue the evening congee and sweet soup service. Atour hotels in a similar price range offer this as a signature amenity and consistently provide it.
3. Children exceeding a certain height were charged for breakfast. While this was communicated beforehand, the overall experience wasn't ideal. Our booking included breakfast for two adults daily. It felt a bit unfair that we had to pay extra for our child, especially considering that even if one of the adults didn't show up for breakfast for several days, there would be no refund. It's not about the small amount of money, but rather the principle. I suggest the front desk proactively inquire about the exact number of guests during check-in and consider offering an extra complimentary breakfast for children, as many hotels are now doing.
My stay here was absolutely fantastic! The hotel boasts a prime location, offering easy access to public transportation and a wide array of dining options nearby. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and professional; check-in was seamless, and they even thoughtfully upgraded my room. My room was spacious and impeccably clean, with comfortable bedding that guaranteed a great night's sleep. The bathroom had a practical wet/dry separation, and the toiletries provided were of good quality. The breakfast spread was extensive, particularly the made-to-order noodle dishes and fresh fruits. The housekeeping team cleaned thoroughly every day and even proactively replenished the bottled water supply. Such attention to detail was truly impressive! The value for money is outstanding. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit and enthusiastically recommend it to my friends.
It's like finding a treasure to be able to book such a good hotel in the off-season. The location is easy to find. It's not far from Chunxi Road and the transportation is convenient. The hotel is clean and the service is good. It's also very safe. The breakfast tastes like home. The service staff in the hotel are also very enthusiastic and the service is in place. When I left the hotel, I was given a small pendant of persimmons. It's very good. I can rest assured.
The hotel location is very convenient to visit Jinli street and Wuhou Shrine. Staff is very friendly, helpful though they don't speak English at all. Really love this place.
When I stepped into the lobby of this hotel, I was infected by the warm welcome and the warm atmosphere. The rooms are spacious and bright, sweeping away the fatigue of the journey. The hotel staff showed professionalism and friendliness, and enthusiastically introduced the surrounding attractions to us. We took the subway to visit Chunxi Road Taikoo Li, and watched the naked eye 3D giant pandas at night. It was really cool and full of technology. More importantly, the hotel has a superior geographical location and convenient transportation, which makes my travel more convenient. This is a perfect stay experience. Next time I travel to Chengdu, I will choose Xi'an Hotel

AAnonymous UserThe service of this hotel is excellent. I had no idea when I checked in, but I encountered something in the room. The housekeeping manager and the front office manager came to my room to deal with it. I really felt that the hotel attaches great importance to guests and serves them attentively. The guys at the front desk took the initiative to help me pick up and drop off my luggage when they saw that I had a lot of luggage. As for the room facilities and breakfast, everything was very good. It is a very good hotel and I will come again in the future.
3300923****We flew from Lanzhou to Chengdu to eat hotpot and see the Prime Minister. The flight was delayed, but the hotel called us to inquire. The hotel is clean, the facilities are relatively new, and the location is good. It is only a 10-minute ride from Wuhou Temple and Provincial Museum by bike, and Chunxi Road is only a dozen minutes away. There are many good restaurants nearby, and the price is right. The girl at the front desk was enthusiastic.
GGuest UserThe hotel environment is very good, the room is spacious and bright, the inside is clean and hygienic, and the room is also equipped with disposable towels. The facilities in the room are fully equipped: washing machine, refrigerator, and a special drying area, which is very convenient for business trips, and laundry detergent can be provided for free. The front desk service is also very good, and any questions will be answered patiently. The surrounding transportation is convenient and travel is very convenient. The surrounding dining is also very convenient, there are many foods downstairs, and there are many categories. The hotel is also very close to the surrounding attractions. It takes ten minutes to take a taxi from Jinyu Wuhou Temple, which is very convenient. The most important thing is free parking. Really worth recommending, very good 👍
MM514345****The room conditions and facilities are very good, comfortable and complete, and the sanitation is clean. The surrounding transportation and eating are very convenient. There are food streets around with many choices. The price is also affordable. The attitude of the hotel staff is very good Very good, warm and thoughtful. I will choose this hotel next time I come nearby.
MM226960****Very good! I have booked online. When I went to the front desk to verify, the waiter reminded me that I could order it day by day. It is more economical to order in the afternoon of the same day. Such warm and practical reminders are rare. The room is also very large, and the front desk waiter also sent a breakfast. I have to say that this breakfast is really very rich, from staple food to dishes to fruits to drinks, there are more than 30 kinds. The attitudes of the people I met in the hotel, whether it is the front desk, the restaurant or other staff, are very good!
GGuest UserThe hotel is 2.5km from the ancient town of Cam Ly - Vu Hau Tu. 5-7km from the entertainment venues of the capital, quite far.
Poor soundproofing, can hear all the rooms next door. Dirty hygiene, dusty bed sheets, sometimes new towels, sometimes old towels. The blanket has insects that cause itching and rashes.
The hotel has no elevator, the room is on the 2nd floor. The hallway is very dimly lit, the hotel does not turn on the lights, full of cigarette smell. The reception hall has no air conditioning.
My family and I stayed for 5 days, every day after 12 noon we have to activate the room card, very inconvenient.
Next to the guest house is a pretty good restaurant.
