Hotels in Global Center/Century City new exhibition, Chengdu

The room is very clean and tidy, and the shampoo and shower gel smells good. The room is super big, you can watch TV in bed at night, there is a subway entrance downstairs, and it takes two minutes to walk to the Incubation Park subway station, which goes directly to Tianfu Airport and South Railway Station. It is very convenient to travel, and I will come again next time.

The location is very good. I saw the room environment is also very good. It is very quiet. It is very good to rest. It is highly recommended. You can also wash clothes. Parking is also very convenient. There are snacks. It is very good. It is highly recommended to close your eyes.

Traveling to Chengdu with my kids, I wasn't sure where to stay at first. I spotted this place on Ctrip, advertised as Asia's largest single building, and its uniqueness immediately caught my attention, so we booked it. InterContinental hotels always have their own distinct charm, but staying at this particular one, nestled within such a massive, glass-enclosed complex, felt even more special than other InterContinentals. It wasn't until the following day that we learned Chengdu had experienced a torrential downpour the night we checked in – yet, cocooned in our 'other world' inside, we hadn't heard a thing. Good hotels in Chengdu often provide butler service, and our assigned butler was exceptionally responsible and attentive. My child had such a fantastic time playing in the water on the first day that they begged to stay an extra night. All our dining, entertainment, and activities were conveniently available right within this impressive glass-covered environment. We'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Chengdu, bringing the kids back for more fun!

The facilities are amazing. The hotel is located around 20-30 minutes to city centre (Chun Xi, IFC, etc). However, cleanliness really has to be questioned. All the pillows smell really bad (smells like saliva of people who slept here before). It really made it unbearable to sleep. Hope the housing keeping team can keep up next time. Also, I ordered delivery quite late on the first night. I understand it was also the fault of the delivery driver since he sent it to “快递” instead of “外卖”。 To give context, the delivery arrived at around 11:30. Nothing came up and had to call like 3 times. For the first two times, all I was told is “There is a robot delivery going on and it might be yours. However, there is nothing else here for your room.” So, on the third time I had to tell them to check again since it was already way past 12:15. Only then, they found out the driver put it at the wrong place and I received it at like 12:30. Apart from these, it was a pleasant stay and would come back as long as cleanliness can be improved. No one wants to sleep with smelly pillows :)

Disappointing stay because (1) contrary to my booking, the reception assigned a smoking room to me without telling me. It was only after I tried to sleep that the noxious smells got to me and I realised I was in a smoking room and had to request for a change, (2) throughout my stay 25 to 30 October 2024, the air-conditioning system for all the rooms was down, and the two small windows had to be opened to let in the outside air. Housekeeping was kind enough to bring in portable unit for my room after they noticed my discomfort. There was absolutely no notice or explanation from the hotel. Unacceptable.

Upon check-in, I decided to try my luck and ask for an upgrade. To my delight, I was indeed upgraded to the Executive Floor! What a fantastic start to my Chengdu trip, setting a perfect mood from the get-go. The housekeeping service was exceptional. Staff proactively checked our room two to three times daily, ensuring the air conditioning and curtains were always in perfect order. Water refills were prompt, and the staff were consistently patient and accommodating, never showing any hint of annoyance. A massive thank you to the housekeeping team for making our multi-generational family stay so comfortable and enjoyable. And a special thank you to the gentleman who helped collect my express packages. My apologies for bothering you twice, but your assistance was greatly appreciated!

Oh my goodness, this place was absolutely fantastic! The facilities were all brand new, and everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The room itself was huge, more than enough space for two people. Even the bathtub was spotless, and we had a lovely view from the window. What really stood out was the staff – they were all so friendly and helpful. I even called for a bottle opener late at night, and they had it sent up to my room within two minutes! And to top it all off, the price was incredibly reasonable, offering fantastic value for money. It truly exceeded all my expectations! Highly, highly recommended!

I really loved the Minguo-era charm of this place. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower had excellent water pressure, and I appreciated the Bvlgari toiletries. The ambiance was great, the service was fantastic, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. This will be my go-to choice for future business trips to Chengdu.

Though my three-day stay was short, the experience at InterContinental Global Center Chengdu far exceeded my expectations. While comfortable facilities are a given, it's a concierge like Maggie Zhang who truly makes the hotel a 'home away from home' – she anticipates needs with keen observation, resolves issues with flexible execution, and creates memorable moments with genuine care. On the very first day, she helped me switch to a much cooler room, allowing me to sleep wonderfully that night! She meticulously and thoughtfully arranged small details like laundry collection and room cleaning. My son absolutely adored the panda plush toy she gave him! For families planning a trip to Chengdu, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel: not only for the vibrant atmosphere of the 'Land of Abundance,' but also because at this hotel, someone is always quietly going the extra mile for you.

Very good hotel, they deliver a bottle of red wine every day, help with laundry, and deliver midnight snacks. The service is very good. There are restaurants everywhere downstairs, and it is very convenient to travel. I will stay here again next time I go to Chengdu
