I chose the Hilton Chengdu Xiexin again, specifically for visiting the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. It's only a 15-minute taxi ride to the panda base, which was perfect for an early start to see the famous panda 'Hua Hua' – no need to rush from the city center. The hotel lobby was full of panda-themed decor, with a giant panda sculpture that was great for photos and really set the atmosphere. The rooms start at 42 sq m, offering plenty of space, comfortable bedding, and good water pressure. Overall, it was clean and quiet, set back from the main road, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast buffet had a rich variety of options, including local Sichuan specialties like Dandan noodles, Bobo chicken, and brown sugar glutinous rice cakes (a minor disappointment was missing the mini cheese bread this time). The food quality was excellent. Dinner could be easily sorted at the executive lounge, which also had a wide selection of dishes. Alternatively, you could take a taxi to Jian She Road Snack Street or Chunxi Road, both not far away. This hotel is highly recommended for families or panda enthusiasts who want to combine seeing pandas with exploring the city.

The hotel's biggest plus is its fantastic location, right next to the subway station, making it super easy to get around. The high-floor rooms offer amazing views, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and elegant. The room was spotlessly clean, making for a very comfortable stay. The lack of breakfast wasn't an issue at all since there are tons of great restaurants nearby, so dining out was a breeze. I'd highly recommend this to anyone traveling.

After a trip to western Sichuan, I decided to take a break in Chengdu before heading back. I chose the Hilton Garden Inn Chengdu Chenghua, which is conveniently located in a bustling area, not far from Tianjie and MixC. There are supermarkets, coffee shops, and bakeries nearby, so you'll find plenty of food and drinks. The hotel has an underground parking garage with free parking (you need to scan a QR code at the front desk and enter your license plate number when leaving). We booked a family room with breakfast. The room was bright and clean, and the bathroom was spacious with a separate wet and dry area. The cleaning staff were very friendly and promptly refilled our toiletries and water. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of Chinese and Western dishes, and items were replenished quickly. Wait staff also cleared tables promptly after guests finished eating. It rained during our two-day stay in Chengdu, and we were able to borrow umbrellas from the front desk, which was a big plus! 👍

What a pleasant surprise! I got a free room upgrade at the Rezen Hotel. It's right next to the 339 Panda Tower, so getting around and finding food is super convenient. The room was brand new, spotless, and had a high-end feel. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staff were all so gentle and attentive. My whole experience was fantastic, and it's great value for money. Definitely a recommended stay when you're in Chengdu.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and its location is absolutely excellent. It's very close to Dongjiao Memory, making it convenient for both getting around and dining. The room is clean and tidy, the bed is comfortable, and the soundproofing is good. The front desk staff are warm and attentive, providing a great overall check-in experience. This hotel is located right by the west gate of Chengdu's Eastern Suburb Memory, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. We were able to reach popular spots like Chunxi Road and Wenshu Monastery very quickly. Getting to Chengdu East Railway Station was also a breeze, just a 20-minute taxi ride, which was perfect for catching our train. There are plenty of breakfast options nearby, and a lovely afternoon tea spot right next door. My kids especially loved the fishpond just outside the hotel where they could feed the fish, making this a very family-friendly place. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and polite, both in person when checking in and over the phone. I was very impressed with the hotel's design; the room layout and amenities were super comfortable. The cleaning staff were also excellent – they organized our belongings neatly and kept everything spotless. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

This Atour Light Hotel experience was great! The front desk service was attentive, and the cleaning ladies on the 3rd floor (especially Huahua) were warm and friendly, doing a meticulous job. The hotel's location is excellent, right outside the subway exit, with convenient shopping and dining downstairs. The front desk is on the second floor of the building, accessible by stairs, but thankfully, the hotel also installed an elevator. The front desk staff were professional and efficient during check-in. The room size was adequate, and the bathroom facilities were complete. However, the hotel is located on a high floor with only two elevators, which makes waiting during peak hours quite challenging. The air conditioning in the room cooled down very slowly; it took about 40 minutes to an hour to lower the temperature significantly. I gave a low rating for the hotel service entirely because of the engineer who came up to check the AC. As soon as he entered, he looked at the AC panel and told me there was no problem. Then he proceeded to tell me, ”The air comes from above.” Have I never seen an air conditioner before? I told him that the room temperature had actually increased since I entered 20 minutes ago, even with the AC on. He just gave a sarcastic chuckle. Was I making things up? I demand that the hotel provide me with the disciplinary action taken against the engineering department and this employee.
