Hotels in Wenshu Monastery/Longhu Shangcheng Sky Street, Chengdu

It was my very first experience with a Chinese hotel and I did enjoy my stay there a lot. It’s located in a pedestrian zone next to Wenshu monastery with a lot of food and shopping options nearby. In the night the area gets rather empty, so the guests should not worry about the street noise. Metro station is about 7-10 min away. I loved the traditional Chinese courtyard architecture of the hotel, the breakfast was nice, primarily Chinese with a couple of western food options as well. Quite appreciated the stuff, they were very helpful and spoke English fluently which is not always a default in China.

The room was exactly as pictured, boasting a very unique and stylish design. My two friends and I checked in, having originally booked a king room. The front desk staff proactively offered us the option to upgrade to a family room. After comparing, we decided the family room would be more comfortable for the three of us, so we paid to upgrade. The family room had excellent natural light and was very well-equipped. The laundry room, gym, and other facilities are all available 24/7. The only minor drawback was the lack of breakfast. However, our overall stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend it.

This hotel is a total steal for travelers! Its prime location offers easy access to nearby attractions. The front desk's handy DIY travel guide map is a lifesaver – you can follow it to avoid getting lost. The bright lobby feels cozy, and the staff's attentive service is a real plus. The best part? Don't miss out Huaxiting Seafood buffet dinner at 198 yuan, over 60 at 158 yuan. The hotel automatically sends you an electronic invoice when you check out, saving you the hassle of waiting. With such great value for money, I'll definitely stay here again!

We had a great time staying at the hotel, the courtyard was beautiful and the staff were super friendly. Our high-speed rail was booked for 3pm, they let us check out after 2pm, which gave us the morning to roam and enjoy Chengdu a bit more. Breakfast was also delicious! There is a washing machine, but it's quite small, we overestimated how much clothes it can hold, would recommend doing smaller batches so items can dry properly. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience =)

I really love this hotel. The room is spacious, clean, comfortable bed. The hotel staffs are so helpful. I was desperate needed to get vaccum storage bag, did not know that you can only get it online. I asked the hotel staffs to help me, they are so helpful and manage to get it to deliver on the same day. And they get a robot to deliver it to my room when it arrived. Really save my day!! The hotel is opposite Wenshu Monastery Line 1 metro station. Which is very convenient. To Takioo Li , 2 stops to Tianfu Sq change to line 3 , 1 stop Chunxi Road station. I highly recommend this hotel!

It was a pleasant stay. Staffs are polite and quick to action. Strategic location and just steps away from Luomashi Line 1 which is easily reachable from Tianfu airport as well as to other tourist spots. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely peaceful traditional hotel adjacent to Wenshu Monastery, very nice location to relax, have tea, and browse the nearby shops. Room was clean and comfortable, and there was a large variety of options for breakfast. Although I didn’t use it, the gym was well equipped. There is also a laundry room that is free to use, but I wish there were more washers and dryers, since there were only 2 washers and 1 dryer, and the dryer took a very long time.

You definitely get what you pay for, and I absolutely loved it! 🤩 If you have the budget, don't even think twice – just book this place! The staff are all incredibly friendly and, impressively, they all speak English. Daily breakfast and coffee are included, and staying for two days was absolutely wonderful. I would genuinely stay here every day if I weren't so short on cash and out of loyalty points! 😭 The courtyard is incredibly comfortable for relaxing, and even a sudden evening rain made for a cozy atmosphere. Wenshu Monastery is also just a short walk away, which is super convenient!

I stayed for three days, and it's definitely worth a detailed review: **Exceptional Environment:** Arriving at night, after passing through the city's hustle and bustle, we suddenly found ourselves in a quiet, serene oasis. It felt like we'd been transported to another world, with stone paths, moss, the sound of flowing water, and lush greenery everywhere. My three-year-old daughter even asked me, ”Is this a hotel from a fairytale?” **Attentive Service:** I've stayed in many hotels, and the service here truly stands out. Beyond the basic tasks like carrying luggage to the room, our butler added us on WeChat before check-in, recommending nearby attractions and restaurants. We received sweet soup daily, along with welcome fruit. When dining with children at breakfast, someone was always there to help care for them and interact with them. **Breakfast Selection:** It follows the 'small but beautiful' approach. The taste was good, and while the variety wasn't as extensive as the five-star hotels we stayed in later, it offered a good balance of Chinese and Western options. The refinement and service more than made up for any limitations in variety. **Perfect for Photos:** Every corner is picturesque, making it easy to capture stunning photos. I mainly photographed the environment and my daughter playing. It rained during our two-day stay, which I felt added even more charm than sunny weather would have.

The hotel has good service. My child caught a cold when he came. I told her and she turned on the air conditioner in advance. The check-in experience was very good. We were given welcome fruit at check-in. By the way, the hotel is at Exit C1 of Liangjiaxiang subway station.
