Hotels in Chunxi Road Commercial Area, Chengdu

The hotel staff are very polite, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable when we asked them how to get around to some places. Oh, the breakfast has a blend of Chinese and Western spread. We were given daily afternoon treat - either coffee with mini sized cakes/cookies or Haagen Das ice-ream (your choice).As we have a late evening flight, thank the hotel for their kindness to extend our checkout time.Just 10mins walk away you can find popular brands of handphone models / repair centres (Huawei, Xiaomi, Apple, etc) in shops and in shopping malls.Chunxi Road is bubbling with night life - food streets are plenty, street stalls and branded goods

Receptionist service is great. Room is as advertised. Spacious and clean. Around 5 mins walk from Chunxi Metro station. 5/5 Would recommend for the price and convenience.

Was a great choice staying at the Hidden House, definitely would recommend. Room was tidy with lots of space, attentive staff and location wise found it really convenient to get around. There is laundry facilities and also a rooftop space with views of the river. Breakfast every day was also super delicious. Want to thank Xiao Liu and everyone at the hotel for their hospitality!

Although the room was comfortable, our stay was somewhat marred by the renovation works on Level 1, which caused significant dust. We were not informed about the renovation beforehand, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the laundry facilities on Level 2 were convenient and appreciated.

The hotel is close to Wenshu Monastery Metro station (Line 1, 5-10min walk) and a good starting point for travelling in all directions. The staff at the reception was nice and they tried their best to explain everything to us in English (translating tools are very helpful/needed here in general!). Although the hotel has a non-smoking policy (signs are up everywhere), nobody really cares and the lobby as well as the room had a cigarette smell. Nevertheless, the hotel and the room was very clean, although the glorious times of the Celebrity are over. It is a bit old and could need some renovation during which they could also install a noise protection that cancels the sound from your neighbors (we had someone next to us snoring all night and we could perfectly hear it). However, the breakfast compensated for a lot. The selection of mostly Chinese dishes was amazing. Overall, the hotel has a fair cost/performance ratio and we can recommend it.

Extremely in love with this hotel. Husband chose it for our honeymoon. Room was cosy and clean, with all amenities replenished daily. Linings are clean and the staffs are all very friendly. It is convenient for the receptionists to answer my doubts as I can connect to them via WeChat. The receptionist at lvl 1 (小邱) is kind and helpful. Breakfast is nice, so was afternoon tea. Location is near to IFS and many other food and souvenir shops, perfect for a quick bite or last minute shopping. Thank you for the wonderful experience I had in Chengdu! Will definitely stay again 🥰

A very conveniently located hotel in Chengdu city center near Tai Koo Li shopping district.  The service is friendly, efficient and welcoming. English is spoken at the check in desk and foreign guests shouldn’t have any issues with staying here hassle-free.  The breakfast is fairly varied, possibly geared more towards the locals, but there is plenty for international palates.  Bedroom was spacious, comfy and quiet. Some of the hard furnishings might seem slightly worn, perfectly normal for the age of the hotel. My only gripe was the non-functioning holder for the bathroom shower head which wouldn’t hold the shower head in place as it was broken. However, the overhead shower curtain worked perfectly and was a substitute for the actual shower itself.

During my recent trip to Chengdu, I stayed at the Meihua R Hotel and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel’s prime location near Chunxi Road made it exceptionally convenient for shopping and dining. A short walk across the nearby overpass brought me directly to the bustling pedestrian street. Additionally, both the subway and bus stations were just steps away, facilitating easy exploration of the city. The hotel’s front desk, situated on the 7th floor, required a transfer between elevators to reach the rooms, which was a minor inconvenience. However, the staff’s warm and enthusiastic service more than compensated for this. Upon check-in, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully prepared; I was even offered a refreshing wet towel upon arrival. One of the standout features of the Meihua R Hotel was the complimentary afternoon tea and evening porridge, both of which were delightful and served in a clean, inviting environment. These thoughtful touches enhanced my overall experience. In summary, the combination of the hotel’s strategic location, exceptional service, and comfortable accommodations made my stay memorable. I highly recommend the Meihua R Hotel to anyone visiting Chengdu and look forward to returning on my next visit.

If u take the airport bus line 1 from chengdu tianfu airport, it stops at the junction of IFS building (with the panda) ar chunxi road. Its abt a 5mins walk. Probably less than 400m u can reach the hotel..however the hotel faces the back of the main road so it may be difficult to find. The title of the building is in chinese words so u need to match the chinese characters. the building is beside adidas shop. Location is good. There's a tourist bus from a bus stop near the panda landmark that goes to most of the tourist location like the panda base (and even dujiangyan, lesha). Very good location. Very near metro line and this line is a junction as well. Hotel is pretty old.. the aircond cant really be controlled and it got too hot at one point of time. Not the most comfortable hotel but the best location.

First of all locating the hotel is not easy because there are no signboards in English. To make matter worse there are several hotels on the same building. The name in English is only indicated next to the elevator button if you manage to locate the elevator. The correct path to the elevator is a small covered alleyway next to the building on the first photo. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Like the layout of the washroom and thoughtfulness of providing charger for mobile phone. Morning breakfast is also nice with a reasonable wide variety of food to choose from.
