Hotels in Jiuyan Bridge/Sichuan University Area, Chengdu

Great hotel in the center of Chengdu. The highlight is for sure the view of the Anshun Bridge and a tea drinking station by the window to appreciate it, as well as a little balcony. You almost don't want to go out of your room but stay in instead. The bed is very very comfortable and the room is very clean. The whole ambience of the hotel, from the lobby to the corridor and the room is very soothing, feels like a spa. The staff is very helpful and speaks great English, which makes the experience easier for foreigners as well. The only downside would be that the hotel is located across the river from a clubbing area, which makes some sound at night. But this is of course outside of the hotel's control. If you are a light sleeper, there are already earplugs provided by the bed, so the staff thought of it as well. Overall a great place to stay in Chengdu.

This hotel is in a great location. There is a mall across the street with two different grocery stores, a train station, and even a skate park. Since the room has a kitchen and cooking utensils can be requested from the staff, bought some groceries and cooked some meals in our room. We enjoyed taking a break from eating out. When we did eat out, there seemed to be neverending options. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We also appreciated having a washer in our room and clothesline where we could easily dry our clothes. The room had several large windows that could be opened, which allowed us to enjoy some fresh air. There is a TV and a projector in the room. The projector was a nice addition. It was at the end of the bed, so it was fun to do a movie night with the projector. One of the photos shows the great view from our room.

The location is good, but the hygiene is just okay, and the facilities are quite old. The funniest part was the service. I called for water, and it didn't arrive for an hour. I had to go to the front desk myself to get it. The front desk lady apologized very quickly, though. It felt like the front desk and housekeeping were completely separate departments with no communication. During check-in, they sweet-talked me into signing up for a membership by promising a fruit platter – specifically a fruit platter. A day passed, and it never arrived. After multiple reminders, the front desk lady maintained her apologetic attitude, promising to arrange it immediately, but nothing came of it. On the second evening of my stay, the housekeeping auntie brought me an orange, a pear, and an apple, saying that a pomegranate that was already on the table yesterday was the 'fruit platter'... Okay, I've had fruit platters before, and I even accidentally saw what kind of fruit platter they delivered to the room next door – at least it was cut fruit, right? I immediately told her that the front desk promised a fruit platter, not a few whole fruits, and returned them. The auntie gave an awkward smile and said, 'It's fine, just take it and eat it.' Do I look like I'm starving for fruit? At this point, I was getting angry. I felt like I'd been conned. A single pomegranate is a fruit platter? I called again, and the front desk lady, as usual, apologized and promised that since there was no fresh fruit today (what was the housekeeping auntie bringing me then?), they would arrange a fruit platter first thing tomorrow morning. I repeatedly confirmed with her if the 'fruit platter' was what I understood it to be and received an affirmative answer. Fine, I'd wait... The next day, I was already preparing to check out when it finally arrived. I gave up. It was just one banana more than the previous collection. I admit defeat. It's not that I absolutely needed to eat their fruit platter, but I really dislike feeling like I've been fooled, especially when they tell me a single pomegranate is a 'fruit platter'... (See attached photo) In the end, I didn't eat any of it. I just felt that the service was absolutely terrible.

First off, let's talk about the room layout. It's a two-bedroom, one-living room, two-bathroom setup. Each bedroom has a king-size (1.8m) bed. For our family of four traveling together, this was much more convenient than a traditional hotel's twin-bed room. My kids are in middle school and are used to having their own bathrooms at home, which even 5-star hotels rarely offer. This place met our need to not compromise our basic quality of life while traveling. It also has a kitchen fully stocked with all the necessary utensils, and the daily room cleaning and supplies replenishment were excellent. The living room even has a projector. Then there's the location. Taikoo Li is just a two-minute walk downstairs. Chengdu's Taikoo Li has a good selection of brands, which is pure heaven for a mom of two middle schoolers who rarely gets time to shop alone during the week. Shopping at the comprehensive and huge Guomao is exhausting, and SKP is further out and even harder to find time for. This time, I quickly browsed Taikoo Li in Chengdu and even found some things I loved, which made me very happy. Besides Taikoo Li, Chunxi Road, Kuanzhai Alley, and IFS (with its panda butt) are all within walking distance – incredibly convenient. There's a dazzling array of popular eateries nearby, and since we stayed on the 39th floor, the view was also fantastic. Finally, a word about the concierge. They were exceptionally patient and enthusiastic, very understanding of tourists' unexpected situations, and always helped resolve them. Thumbs up! 👍 For our specific family situation, the only slight inconvenience was that the shower water was heated by an electric water heater. With more people, we had to shower in shifts, waiting about 20-30 minutes for the water to reheat after the kids finished. Staying here significantly enhanced our trip, and we're very grateful to the concierge. If we get the chance to visit Chengdu again, we hope to stay here.

This is a very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast and very friendly personnel. Conveniently located within walking distance of several attractions and subway stations. Very quiet. Try to get a room with window. The room was comfortable and spacious. In the evenings we could hear soembody playing traditional Chinese music as the street below is full of musical instrument shops. If we come back to Chengdu we will definetly try to stay here again.

Absolutely nothing to complain about from check-in to check-out! The front desk staff, especially the lady who helped us, was incredibly friendly and efficient, and we even received a complimentary room upgrade. Our room was spacious and bright, and the mattress was perfectly comfortable, ensuring I slept soundly until I naturally woke up. The bathroom featured a great wet/dry separation, and the toiletries provided were of good quality.

Very close to Wanda Plaza, the room was clean and tidy, and the service was excellent. There's a self-service laundry room on the 13th floor with a washer-dryer combo, and they can even deliver your washed clothes back to your room. We received complimentary minibar items and breakfast, and a souvenir at check-out. It's also very close to the Ruo Yuan Luminous Cup, just 300 meters away, where we tried the **Spicy Crab**.

The hotel is located in a convenient area, near to mrt, near to jiu yan qiao. The room is clean, with some control switch spoiled but surprised me with a smart toilet bowl. I appreciated many aspects of my stay, but I did experience 2 issues I'd like to mention. Despite placing the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on my door, housekeeping still entered and cleaned the room. I understand that this may have been a misunderstanding, but I believe it's important to respect guests' privacy when the sign is displayed. I hope this can be addressed for future guests. Secondly, the breakfast provided to be below expectation in terms of quality and variety, additionally, the breakfast area itself was not pleasant and comfortable, which affect overall experience. A good breakfast can really enhance the overall guest experience.

I took my kids to Chengdu for National Day and discovered this newly opened hotel. I felt like I'd found a gem. It's a stylish hotel, very young and smart, and the overall experience was great. My kids loved it, too. I ordered takeout for them that night, and the smart little robot was so adorable. It delivered the takeout and even invited the kids to take photos. The room was generally clean and tidy, and the sleep was very comfortable. The restaurant on the 4th floor was great in the morning, with a rich and varied breakfast and plenty of options. The noodles at the freshly cooked stall were delicious, and there was a wide selection of drinks. It's a shame the garden on the 4th floor terrace isn't open yet, otherwise having breakfast and coffee in the garden would have been perfect. The hotel mascot is so cute, and the penguin-like owl cushion is so comfortable. I'll definitely come back next time I get the chance.

Checking into the Chengdu Jiuyanqiao Manxin Hotel unlocked a superb perspective on Chengdu's nightlife! Open your window to glimpse the shimmering Jinjiang River, and it's a 2-minute walk to Anshun Bridge. Watching the bridge lights up in the evening, with a gentle river breeze on your face, is incredibly pleasant. The Jiuyanqiao bar street is just downstairs; feel free to join the lively atmosphere or retreat to the hotel for a quieter experience. Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li are only 3 subway stops away, making it super convenient to return after shopping. The hotel itself is clean and elegant, with comfortable bedding, providing a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu!
