Hotels in Jiuyan Bridge/Sichuan University Area, Chengdu

The service and the reception is very good since they are very attentive and helpful, also nice views from the breakfast zone (see picture attached) and they provide soft drinks, tee, coffee and water free of charge pus there are 2 washing machines and one drier free of charge plus they give a goodbye gift. The breakfast was quite good. Unfortunately, the rooms were not quite clean talking about corners full of dust, sticky floor areas and the shower had some unknown thread on the wall that persisted next day cleaning, also we used a vase that was clearly seen as dirty cause it was used and next day was not cleaned. The building seems quite old and is not really close to the public transport. Due to lack of cleaning, oldness an poor location, I would not recommend it for the price.

Transportation is incredibly convenient; both taxis and the subway are easily accessible and affordable. The surrounding area boasts numerous local eateries and well-stocked 24-hour convenience stores where you can find anything you might need. There are also authentic Chengdu-style food options nearby. The room itself was exceptionally comfortable, and the host was wonderfully kind and incredibly patient.

Drawn by the brand reputation and ambiance, we booked the Shangri-La. However, immediately upon checking into our room, I headed to the bathroom to freshen up and was utterly shocked: there were numerous long black hairs scattered across the marble floor. Moreover, the tissue box on the vanity contained a large wad of tissues that had clearly been pulled out and then messily stuffed back inside. Is this truly a Shangri-La hotel? I immediately called the butler service. About 10 minutes later, a lady arrived, bringing a fruit platter and a panda doll. She offered no apology and made no attempt to clean. Her only explanation was: 'Perhaps the housekeeper had poor eyesight and mistook the hair for patterns on the marble...' Her explanation continued for several minutes, with no intention of cleaning it right away. We were rushing to the executive lounge and didn't have time to waste, so I ended up taking out the crumpled tissues from the box and cleaning the hair myself, right in front of her. For the entire day after that, I couldn't shake the feeling that the room was unclean. I felt compelled to meticulously inspect every surface before daring to use it. This was, unequivocally, the worst experience we encountered at any five-star hotel throughout our entire trip. The swimming pool itself was well-maintained, but reaching it from the changing rooms involved a significant walk through a cold, air-conditioned corridor that passed by the gym. Having to take a pre-swim shower and then endure that chilly walk made us shiver even before getting into the water. My husband was so put off that he decided against swimming the following day. The only redeeming feature was the executive lounge. It was quiet and spacious, and the evening drinks and service were excellent.

The location is absolutely unbeatable! IFS, Chunxi Road Pedestrian Street, and Taikoo Li are all just a stone's throw away. The living room's floor-to-ceiling windows offer a breathtaking view of the city's landmarks. What's more, the subway station is just a few steps from the building. In short, it's incredibly convenient. The apartment has a fantastic layout and is fully equipped with excellent amenities. If I *had* to find a minor fault, it would be that I'm personally not a big fan of carpets, and these had a slight odor.

Staying at the Guilaixi Hotel allowed me to experience the homestay culture of western Sichuan during my travels. The hotel's corridors seemed to transport me back to the leisurely atmosphere of a courtyard in western Sichuan during the Republic of China. Staying at the hotel is not only a place to rest during the journey, but also a cultural atmosphere. The hotel staff's service was friendly, warm, and sincere, making us feel at home. We will definitely stay here when we return to Sichuan next year 住归来栖酒店让我在旅途中感受到川西的民宿文化，酒店的回廊仿佛穿越到民国川西庭院的闲暇环境。入住酒店不仅是旅途的歇息空间，还是文化氛围的心灵驿站。 酒店员工们服务亲切，温馨，真诚，使我们有种’家‘的归属感。明年再往四川我们会入住这里。

Absolutely nothing to complain about from check-in to check-out! The front desk staff, especially the lady who helped us, was incredibly friendly and efficient, and we even received a complimentary room upgrade. Our room was spacious and bright, and the mattress was perfectly comfortable, ensuring I slept soundly until I naturally woke up. The bathroom featured a great wet/dry separation, and the toiletries provided were of good quality.

The location of the hotel is within the Second Ring Road, easily accessible to many restaurants at the nearby Wanda Plaza which is a stone’s throw away. Taking DiDi to Chengdu East Railway station is only 22 mins which is very convenient or alternatively it is only a 32 mins ride by public transportation - metro. The only downside is that it is an hour ride to the Chengdu Tianfu International Airport by DiDi. Checked in to an upgraded hotel room for our 6 nights stay. Toiletries provided are of reputable brand - L’Occitane brand. We were well taken care of and our stay at the hotel was comfortable. Special mention to YiYi for the smooth checkout !

As a mother traveling with a child, I just checked out of the Voco Hotel Jiuyanqiao in Chengdu with my baby. I was absolutely delighted with the experience. ♡ Thoughtful amenities, easy parenting The separate wet and dry bathroom in the room was a great idea, making it very convenient for washing up with the baby. The hotel also offers free public parking, so we drove here and had no worries about parking. ♡ Impeccable cleanliness, reassuring for moms I have high standards for cleanliness, but this hotel was spotless from the lobby to the guest rooms, and even walking barefoot on the carpet was safe. Even my clean freak would give it a full score. ♡ Comprehensive amenities and a convenient location The hotel has two restaurants, and we tried the Chinese restaurant, which was delicious. It's located in the Jiuyanqiao business district, a mere six-minute walk from the pier for the Jinjiang Night Cruise. It was a wonderful evening to take the kids there to enjoy the river breeze and the night view. ♡ Quiet environment and convenient transportation The hotel is close to Sichuan University and Wangjiang Park, surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful atmosphere, completely unlike being in a busy city. Transportation is also very convenient, making it easy to get to the subway station or catch a taxi. ♡ Warm service and impeccable attention to detail The front desk is open 24 hours a day, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. This stay has made me realize that choosing a family-friendly hotel can significantly enhance your overall experience.

The hotel is located in a convenient area, near to mrt, near to jiu yan qiao. The room is clean, with some control switch spoiled but surprised me with a smart toilet bowl. I appreciated many aspects of my stay, but I did experience 2 issues I'd like to mention. Despite placing the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on my door, housekeeping still entered and cleaned the room. I understand that this may have been a misunderstanding, but I believe it's important to respect guests' privacy when the sign is displayed. I hope this can be addressed for future guests. Secondly, the breakfast provided to be below expectation in terms of quality and variety, additionally, the breakfast area itself was not pleasant and comfortable, which affect overall experience. A good breakfast can really enhance the overall guest experience.
