The hotel is located in the city centre, with a supermarket and Chain fast food restaurants nearby, including 24 hours McDonaldās. The hotel design follows an industrial style, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is extremely comfortable. The restroom locate on the sixth floor has a very quiet and elegant atmosphere. The breakfast provided by the restaurant is delicious. The only downside is that the elevator was out of order during my stay.

I was travelling with business and selected the hotel due to location and the fact it has a car park. I was pleased to find the hotel was better than I had expected. Very comfortable with a large bedroom and plenty of space for my things. I was more pleased when I found out it is a pet friendly hotel. I will be back with my 4 legged friends next time as it is a very convenient location with plenty of facilities nearby.

Central location but Cardiff city on a Friday night is absolutely horrendous!! Noisy, rowdy, lots of drunks and extremely wild to the point when we got back to our hotel, we found the hotel had put a metal security barriers at the entrance and the security guy insisted to see our room keycard before letting us in!! Really felt like we were in a place that is quite unsafe.

I wanted to provide some feedback on my recent stay. The room was very hot, and since the air conditioning wasn't working, we were given a fan instead. Additionally, we were not informed about the extra £10 charge per person for a 'spa day' to use the pool, which was confusing as I only wanted a quick swim. It was very disappointing that hotel guests were not allowed even a brief 10-minute pool time. Lastly, the reception desk was quite small, and with three staff members talking over each other, the experience felt chaotic.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.

YYThe Parkgate Suite I stayed in was very large and comfortable. All the amenities were Elemis. It was very clean and bright. The location is excellent, just across the street from the shops. There are many restaurants and shops just across the street.
KkeithNot impressed. Stayed at the Marriot in Edinburgh the week before and was 100% happy so booked the Marriot in Cardiff. Very disappointed. Will not stay again.
GGuest UserWe stayed here for 3 nights, it was very pleasant and clean. Friendly faces and friendly service. The beds are very comfortable and absolutely huge! The only negative I would mention was the fact that on the first night, we were sat in the bar enjoying a drink and the barmaid came out and started to hoover, which obviously made us uncomfortable and was also quite loud, so we proceeded to take our drinks to our room to finish them. Which also meant we didnāt use the bar facility again for the rest of the stay, which was a shame.
ęØęØA very high quality Hostel, all aspects are very good, clean, hygienic (washroom bathroom is super clean), the staff is warm and thoughtful, the transportation is convenient... breakfast is super good, super good, the best one met in the UK Hostel
GGuest UserClayton was okay as far as hotels go, it was nice having a view of Cardiff from a top floor, staff were friendly too.
The Gym was tiny for the size of the hotel, the bedroom was a standard double room, the reviews said that the Clayton had been newly refurbished, but felt that the room was dated. Due to windows not being able to be open due to H&S, there was no fresh air, just air con. The room was mostly clean, few stains on the carpet, and floor felt dusty.
The hotel location was great, near the train station and in town, but for the cost, I was expecting something much better, as the night before we had a much cheaper hotel, and rooms came with kitchens, and were very modern - wish I had stayed at that one for the extra few nights.
WWellingtonTTEnvironment (Figure 1): On a remote street in Cardiff, surrounded by residential areas (Figure 2), people who are new to the city need to use Google Maps to find it. The environment is good during the day. There is a bar downstairs. The hostess is very polite. I arrived late. She found my materials from the guest information and told the password to open the door, which was smooth
Hygienic: No problem, very clean, the room is not big, there is a separate bathroom, booked a single room suitable for one person
Other pictures show local castles and street buildings in Cardiff
JJIANThe location is very central, right on the pedestrian street, but an old building with average facilities, and the service is not very warm and thoughtful. No breakfast yet
TThismorningiwokeupinI stayed here for a business trip for one week. The room seemed to be clean but it is so dark that you canāt really tell if it is clean or not. Thatās actually an issue - the lightening is bad. I couldnāt really work in the room since it had only a yellow ambient lightening and not a normal main source of light. The bathroom can be slightly cold if you donāt leave the door open so that warm air from the A/C can enter. It is shameful that they donāt have a breakfast included, especially for long stays in the hotel which is not so cheap and out of the center⦠at least one small sandwich would make things better, but nop šš¼. Another thing is that the area is not very nice. Unless you have to do something in that area, i donāt recommend you to stay. I was even told by taxi drivers to not walk around alone after it gets dark. Before I knew that, I did take a walk and it really felt a bit unsafe. The staff was ok, I didnāt have much contact with them. Only had an incident when I arrived - they couldnāt find me in their system (it was booked under other name by mistake but I actually changed it a week before arrival so I donāt know why they didnāt have updated information). There is a small gym, but almost all machines, except one, are for cardio exercises. Almost no restaurants or shops in the area.
