Amazing old convent turned hotel. Beautiful architecture and interesting decor. Great boutique with handicrafts and porcelain. The hotel accepts pets - still rather unusual in Portugal. Unfortunately, a bit understaffed which affects level of service. Anyway good option to explore Évora.

The hotel was converted from a monastery in the countryside of southern Europe. It has its own church, a restaurant and bar converted from a corridor, and the olive groves and fields in the hotel garden are all stunningly beautiful. There are several interesting halls to explore in the public area. The outdoor swimming pool should be very popular in summer. The hotel has many rooms and can accommodate a certain size of holiday groups. I saw a group of retired elderly people staying there. Although the hotel is outside the ancient city, the city is very small, about 4 kilometers away from the core area, and a taxi to the train station is only about 5 euros.

The hotel is spectacular, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The Italian restaurant is amazing. The staff are friendly and very well trained.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are of a good size. Some rooms only have a very small window, so the room is very dark. Breakfast was good, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. the scrambled eggs were not to our taste. We would definitely come again.

We absolutely loved this resort. The most unique and beautiful place we have ever stayed. The grounds were spotless, the restored convent was amazing. The restaurant and bar area served fantastic food. Definitely make your dinner reservations well ahead of time as the spots fill quickly. Dinners and wine were very reasonably priced for such a nice resort. The breakfast buffet was amazing with assorted breads, exceptional cheese varieties and fresh honey in the comb. Very easy to take a taxi to explore Evora, take a walking tour if you can. A very special and peaceful resort.

This is a gorgeous hotel in an incredible building. We had a large spacious room in the old building where the ceilings were high, the bed very comfortable , top class linens and a fabulous bathroom . Unlike the rooms in the modern wing we did not have a balcony/ terrace but we still preferred being here as it was more atmospheric. There is a great pool and the spa looked lovely. My only gripe was with the restaurant. We checked in at 12.30 pm and asked to reserve a table for dinner only to be told that the restaurant was full. I was stunned - I don’t expect to stay in a 5 star hotel , check in early and yet still be told that I would have to travel 15/20 mins into town for my supper. I admit that I was very annoyed as we were only staying for one night . Eventually the hotel relented and gave us a reservation for 7pm. When we arrived for supper we were surprised to find that only one table in the pretty huge dining room was occupied and even when we finished eating the room was barely 25% full. The problem seemed to be that there were one or two large tour groups eating in another room that seemed to be the hotel’s main focus. This left us feeling rather like second class guests. The hotel really nerds to sort out a policy that treats all guests equally.

Very nice hotel. Lovely grounds. Our room was in the modern section. Very nice and comfortable. Helpful staff. Lots of groups stay at the hotel while we were there. Lots of tour busses and vans out front making it a bit difficult to get in and out. Restaurant was good. Breakfast was very nice but again a bit busy with groups. A bit out of town but a lovely short drive to the center. Nice stay!

Unique and stunning hotel neat Évora. Our room was large, clean and had all of the amenities. Staff was friendly and Daniel in the bar area and Oliver at the pool were especially helpful. We loved the food and the wine. They did a beautiful job with the restoration of the church and cloister. We heard great music both nights we we stayed. Sophia in the Spa area gives a wonderful massage. Notes if you are going: Make dinner and breakfast reservations in advance. Evora is a great city to visit, but it is a drive from the hotel. Also, you are in a rural location, so expect farm smells on occasion and dogs barking.
