Awesome location!! Neat and tidy hotel with friendly reception and cleaning staff. Little cold plunge pool on roof terrace which was lovely on a hot day!

The price is much lower than other accommodations with the same conditions on the island and there are no flaws. It can be said that the cost performance is extremely high. It is perfect for just overnight rest. The infrastructure is relatively complete, there is a balcony, the air conditioning is very comfortable, the bed is very comfortable, the hygiene is also good, the service is very good, the front desk is very enthusiastic, there are McDonald's Pizza Hut and many supermarkets nearby, and it is also convenient to walk to the beach. The bus stop takes a while to get there, but there are many routes and it is convenient to travel. Although the location looks far on the map, it is very OK to take the bus from the airport. The only drawback is that the hot water on the fifth floor is relatively small, and there is no shower gel and shampoo.

This is the second time in this hotel. The room was clean. However, some small details were missing. In the bathroom, no shelves to put our things on. The little extra is the balcony and the side view of the sea.

I traveled to Malta alone and chose the Primera Hotel as one of the cheapest options in Malta. In principle, the travel guide says that Valletta is the best place to stay, but I would not agree with this, as it is an hour from St. Paul's Bay to Valletta, an hour to the ferry to Gozo and half an hour to Rabat/Mdina. Excursions such as to the Blue Grotto only go via Valletta and it takes 2 hours by bus. However, you can combine this with a travel route via Valletta or as the last spot before the airport. The hotel was clean, the rooms were more than adequately equipped and for €8 you could book breakfast on site, which was a bit English but had something for everyone. The only thing that could be difficult is being able to eat more than just fruit and bread as a vegan.

I had a pleasant 16 night stay in room 201. Hotel was clean & the staff were attentative & courteous so what's more to want from a basic 3 star hotel. Of course there's always improvements that could be made & they are very cheaply fixable at this hotel. IE: Bathroom could do with a basic shelf & towel rail. TV could do with the addition of more than one UK station (only had BBC world news) & the HVAC requires refurbishment (very noisy). Dining room can be quite cramped at rush hour. Apart from that I had a nice stay in a very well positioned location.

my second stay here, and further money has been spent renovating and improving , new flooring in areas, all doors now have key code entry, and the very tired dining room has been well transformed with new furniture , decor and serving area. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. air con worked well. this is now becoming a very nice budget hotel and its position for restaurants, entertainment and buses is perfect. had a side sea view on higher floor, always a better position to go for.

Well the pictures for the hotel on trip advisor are not what the hotel looks like currently, the swimming pool/sunbathing area is quite nice and it’s very quiet but it is a small area. The rooms are just ok, we had a lot of cockroaches in our room unfortunately and the bed is extremely uncomfortable. We had to fold our duvets in half to be able to sleep without back problems (I’m only 27 - I shouldn't be getting back problems from a bed!) the staff here are the only positive I really have, they are so kind and helpful at every opportunity. If you have more money to spare I would suggest finding a nicer hotel, although if this is within your budget then it is bearable for a week or less.

The room didn’t look as in the hotel photos. The bathroom was old and not very pleasant. Lights were flickering at night. AC in the room was almost nonexistent, we asked at the reception to take care of it and we waited till the next day for someone to come to fix it, just to say that the ventilation is working fine but the hotel stuff is reducing the Freon consumption per room. We had to put wet towels on us to cool in the night, which is not what are you expecting when booking a 3 star hotel. Don’t recommend it.
