The simple but clean rooms and the charming cleaning girls. We can't say the same about the reception staff, they didn't even leave us a pen. Not all of them, but there were a couple who were quite unfriendly.

We have just returned from a lovely 7 night stay at the Park Lane. Not stayed here before, but as soon as you walk through the front door, you get a feeling that this is going to be a good stay. The luxurious lobby area lives up to its boutique description, and this continues in the rooms. All the hotel staff we met were so friendly and helpful with recommendations of where to eat etc. The room was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. Amazingly comfortable superking size bed, small kitchen area with all facilities you would need if you wanted to cater for yourself meals wise. The hairdryer was a proper salon style one (not one of those ineffective bathroom mounted ones), which I was very glad of as I took a gamble and didn't pack my own this time. Safety deposit box available with refundable deposit €20. Unfortunately, the bad weather meant we only managed a couple of hours all week by the rooftop pool, but this was also a lovely area. The location was great for us as we used the local bus to get out and about, and the bus station was just at the bottom of the street. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby. We particularly enjoyed the food at Michele's bistro just across the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an alternative to the big and impersonal all-inclusive hotels in the area.
Pro
The location is super. Bus stop just a few meters away, also testarants and ports with many offers for boat tours.. Nightlife walking accessible. Bus station nearby with extensive range offer. Supermarket, minimarkets and other shops.
Equipment, and comfort: The beds - mattresses, kiss, ceilings - are very comfortable.. Air conditioning works well and quiet, noise-smooth doors, darkness hangs, coffee and tea preparation, small refrigerator, smart TV, not bright. The view of the pool on the roof is very beautiful. Breakfast is extensive and certainly something for every taste. There are other restaurants in the house to which I can't say anything. The saunas and the indoor pool are a nice extra. The fitness room is large and equipped with many modern devices. Spa offers are available. All rooms have a balcony. Neighbors have not heard, rooms seem not bright. We experienced the service staff very friendly and helpful. Sustainability: There is only 1 towel per person (which can always be exchanged, instead of countless for the roof pool
There are no contrasts, only small things. Matraces for large people could be a little longer. The double bed is single beds moved together. Accordingly, with visitor ridges. Sustainability: in the room the small individual packs for coffee, at breakfast the small individual packs for butter, the towels for the roof terrace could be longer. What was really very bad was the noise scenes on the balcony, which was therefore not really useful. Noise came from electrical aggregate or a mega-air conditioning from the house. The view of the side room had side sea view, but also a view of the neighborhood (3rd floor) that reminded a building site. Therefore the offer price for the double room with breakfast of €72 was also justified.
I traveled to Malta alone and chose the Primera Hotel as one of the cheapest options in Malta. In principle, the travel guide says that Valletta is the best place to stay, but I would not agree with this, as it is an hour from St. Paul's Bay to Valletta, an hour to the ferry to Gozo and half an hour to Rabat/Mdina. Excursions such as to the Blue Grotto only go via Valletta and it takes 2 hours by bus. However, you can combine this with a travel route via Valletta or as the last spot before the airport.
The hotel was clean, the rooms were more than adequately equipped and for €8 you could book breakfast on site, which was a bit English but had something for everyone. The only thing that could be difficult is being able to eat more than just fruit and bread as a vegan.
Very mixed evaluation. The hotel is good and very well located, however:
- the staff is not often there. We told Maria at reception that our mini-bar was not cooling. Answer, a mini-bar does not cool. We of course had two rooms and in the other, it was completely cold, even too cold. By moving the electrical outlet, it worked. It was reported but no one ever came.
- room cards that didn't work three times. Every time we pass, we are told that this happens and the third time, we are told that it is because the tourist tax is not paid. Ironically, we went to reception twice to do this but were told later.
- incredible noise in the hotel. The hotel receives groups of young teenagers and they are hellish, we couldn't really sleep until 1-2am.
- if you want to reach the reception, pray that your room is with the new facilities. My daughter got a new room and we got a less new one. The telephone did not work and despite reporting it to reception, nothing was done.
Otherwise the hotel is good, comfortable, the indoor swimming pool with jacuzzi very good and the restaurant service is excellent. We hesitated with the Seaview and ultimately regretted it.
Despite the hotel's good points, we won't be coming back there again, that's for sure.

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at Best Western during my visit to Malta, and overall, it was a wonderful experience.
The hotel is ideally located in [location], which makes it convenient for exploring the island. It's within walking distance of beaches,
The room was comfortable and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the room had all the necessary amenities, such as air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and a minibar with free drinks!
The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Check-in was smooth, and they gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do.
The hotel offers a pool, spa, gym, restaurant, etc.
Food and Dining:
We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, and the food was of a high standard. English breakfast was especially tasty, and the staff ensured we had a great dining experience. The ambiance of the restaurant also added to the overall
I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Malta. Whether you're in town for sightseeing or just looking to relax, this hotel provides a great base with excellent service, comfortable rooms, and great facilities. I would definitely stay here again!
UuchuyofficialHotel is very nice. Newly renovated buildings. Service is great, always welcomed and very nice except at the top deck pool, where we used the jacuzzi (free of charge) but it was designated for other guests, even though there were other free jacuzzis. Everything else is fine, especially front office, floor manager and housekeeping.
Unfortunately, Trip.com made an incorrect booking at the hotel. According to Trip.com we get sea view but when booking hotel we get land view. Luckily the hotel was very nice and the room was changed.
AAndrew SWhen we booked this, we did not know what to expect. It is full of surprises and a great place to stay. Ideal location, 15 minutes walk to the bus stops and 20 minutes walk to the sea front. In the centre of town, with local shops close by. The rooms are bright and airy and ours had a balcony with a street view, and morning sunshine. Very comfortable room with large bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful with my food allergy and this made the stay even better. The food was good with a reasonable choice. The outside pool area was large and ideal to relax on the many sunbeds. We were surprised the big tour operators do not use this hotel. It is great, a very enjoyable stay and we will return soon. No problems or complaints. Thanks you to all the staff.
Nice Hotel very clean and tidy plenty of beds by the pool, rooms are a good size with everything you need and as before clean and tidy, however the mattress is like a rock and I slept on the kids sofa bed 1 night and there's no surprise the kids had been moaning you could feel every metal bar. A few things that we feel need to be rectified if we were to recommend/stay again, the queue for the bar is silly, they have this random system where only 1 person takes the order then prints off a ticket for someone else to make causing big queues Selection of food at evening not great but lunch and breakfast are good. We were woken by building work being done in one of the rooms most of the wk around 7/7.30am we would have thought any drilling and breaking would have been held back till at least 9am. Apart from those points we had a lovely stay.
GGuest UserI have been to the Coral with my children for the 3rd time this year, just arrived back in uk today. The staff recognised us straight away and couldnt do enough and the new staff as well..Yes its not the Ritz, but its central to bugibba square and all you need from a maltese holiday.Rooms serviced every day and all the areas are kept in good order,The staff are helpful and will assist you anyway they can.Swimming pool on the roof is a god send and could do with a couple of repairs to the handrails.Other than that if you are looking for a cheap hotel with a good breakfast, lovely staff and a central location this is the place..See you again next year.
