TERRIBLE and VERY EXPENSIVE stay :-@, of the published price they charged me 21% more taxes, of that 35% more for being a dollar and of that 21% when I arrived at the hotel for cleaning (nowhere did it say that and they didn't let me cancel) and the WORST thing was that I reserved and PAID for a SUPERIOR room because it does need a refrigerator DUE TO HEALTH, and it said front view. And they gave me a STANDARD and on top of that with separate beds!! X-(
They told me that I could stay another half hour and in the end they told me that there was no notice (POOR SERVICE), so I had to go out and run. It really was the WORST DAY in Buenos Aires because of how I reneged on that hotel. :-@
And the photos they show are a LIE, not even similar for what I BOOKED. >:(

We stayed 8 nights in Babel Botanico, from Dec. 28 to Jan. 4. We just fell in love with this neighborhood, central to all we wanted to see. Some days we had no plan, just walk out the door. Cafes on every corner, fun restaurants, and of course the Botanical Garden, free. It's close to major transportation lines, Las Heras and Santa Fe, to get us to Recoleta or Centro. The apartment itself had all we needed at a good price, and Edgar quickly answered all questions through Whatsapp, including booking transportation to and from the airport. We paid about $55 a night.

We paid 34€ for the hotel on a site called atrapalo.com. It was non-reimbursable. But when we arrived we had to pay another 16€ for "cleaning charges"; this is in the small print on the website and so they dont accept complaints. But it is absolutely scandalous as a way to treat customers. Anyway, there was also black mold in the bathroom. The elevator stopped at the second floor (unless you realised that there was a second control panel in the elevator that did come down to the ground floor). The hot water does work...but we had to go to reception to find out how it worked, and nearly had a cold shower. For 34€ its an OK place to stay in San Thelmo. For 50€ (the real price) its too expensive, in particular when you take into account the poor maintenance of the hotel

That any type of room does not have a small minibar is shameful. Keeping food or drinks in good condition is essential. I CONSIDER A DISASTER that it does not have that service ONLY if it is a super VIP room... VIP to have cold water? Ridiculous.

Reception we just arrived tired from the trip, we had to leave without knowing anything to find an exchange office because the deposit had to be in cash and we only had a card. Ugh There was no room service, no hairdryer in the bathroom, no coffee included. We stayed for 2 days and went looking for another place.
