"I stayed at this hotel for one night as a quick stopover, and it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is situated right across from the beautiful Crystal Palace Garden and is easily walkable to numerous great local spots. I was also impressed by the staff's thoughtfulness. They proactively sent me a list of recommended local eateries and quickly responded to my questions before I arrived. My room was comfortable and well-equipped. I appreciated having an adjustable air conditioner and a nice, hot shower. They also provided free snacks, a coffee machine, and thoughtful additions like books and board games in the common area. It is important to know that this is a renovated building that preserves its original features. While this adds to its charm, it means there is no elevator. I was lucky to book a ground-floor room, which I strongly recommend if mobility is an issue or if you have heavy luggage. As is common with older architecture, the sound insulation isn't the best. I didn't find it overly bothersome in my room, but sensitive sleepers should be aware. In my opinion the hotel offers excellent value for money and a genuine experience."

"Location: The hotel is located within walking distance from the Campanha Train station. However, if you are walking to the hotel please be noted that there is a uphill slope. Ambience: The hotel has a relaxing vibe with a nice outdoor verandah at the lobby. You can enjoy a relaxing afternoon with drink. Restaurant/Food: The food was amazing. Simple Portuguese food. The service was great too. Staff: Counter staff was helpful and approachable. Room: The room was clean and spacious with a view on the verandah. Basic amenities provided. Highly recommended if you prefer a relaxing accommodation. enjoyed my stay here"

MMar4MorAn amazing hotel! I was so impressed with the decor and the cleanliness and above all... the staff! They were pleasant, accomodating and even gave us an upgrade which was just incredible! I want to especially thank the following wonderful staff members who made our 1 night stay so special... they should be commended for their HIGH CUSTOMER ORIENTED persona! Very rare to find these days. The people I would like to thank are: Debouc, Fernando, Andre and Joao! Absolutely wonder human beings who treat customers with respect and dignity! I fould this hotel along with another one in Cascais to be TOP NOTCH when it came to hospitality! I would MOST DEFINITELY recommend this hotel to everyone I know. I pray these folks are recognized for their outstanding customer relations and hospitality! Impeccable to say the least! They deserve a raise! Thank you to you all! Maria and Reinaldo Morais

GGuest UserOur family reserved 3 rooms and arrived on a very early flight . Jose was kind enough to get 1 of our rooms ready within an hour so we could at least wash up, rest for a bit, and refresh before going out for the day. He continued to take care of us throughout our stay with anything we needed, while being extremely kind and personal. He is an excellent representative of the quality and care the hotel offers. We also liked the ambiance of the hotel. It was nicely lit and decorated in a fun, eclectic, and relaxing fashion. Our room rate included the breakfast which was an amazing spread with much variety, highly recommend. Location was central, easy walking distance everywhere. Small disappoin**ent was lack of gym. I know we walk around alot but it would’ve nice to have the option as my husband and son like to exercise quite a bit. In addition, the TV lounge room which can be nice for teenagers/kids to use while waiting for our rooms to be ready was rather plain in terms of interior design, just gray concrete walls, as opposed to the interesting and colorful designs of the rest of the hotel. This is just an observation, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back again.

AAnonymous UserThe hostel is in a perfect location being right in the centre of Porto. The room and bed are decent. There are two bathrooms with shower in a room so it’s pretty nice. However, there is almost no water coming out from one of the shower and got some insect bites sleeping here ;( things are pretty great besides tha

GGuest UserLast year I had the most wonderful stay at Menina Colina, and was excited to return. Unfortunately I now wish I had reserved elsewhere, as it has been nothing but a disappointment. Prices are so much higher than a year ago, but I thought I got what was a good deal on the garden room. Turns out it is greatly overpriced for what is offered, as it has none of the exquisite design or attention to detail that the interior rooms have. It also seems to be neglected in terms of maintenance. The coffee machine was leaking, and after reporting it, it was made out to be my fault as I was using it incorrectly. I had to physically show a member of staff the leaked water for them to agree to replace it. I was really annoyed that they felt that they needed to demonstrate to me how it works rather than just replacing it immediately. The next disappointment was that the room was initially not serviced at all, and no explanation was given. When you are paying $165 for a mediocre room (not even including breakfast), one would at the very least expect the bins to be emptied. The bathroom also had a terrible smell that permeated the room, and mosquitoes were a problem too. Management did offer me lunch or attendance of their fado show, but none of these arrangements fitted into my busy programme. I thought a small financial compensation would have made more sense. That did not happen, and nothing further was mentioned or discussed on check-out. The final issue was the online check-out which they require. When I tried to complete it, my bill was for my entire stay, although 3 of the 4 nights had already been paid months in advance. So my conclusion is unfortunately that Menina Colina’s standards have dropped significantly, and that it is overpriced for the lack of attention to detail that is evident in several areas.

UUrban VoyagerWe had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay. One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience. Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel. The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal. Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!

죤죵It's a 5-minute walk from both São Bento and Trinidadé stations, making it convenient for those traveling by plane or train. It's an apartment-style accommodation, not a hotel. The living room has a large double bed and a sofa, and the kitchen and bathroom are separate. There's a dining table and most cooking utensils (toaster, dishes, pots, coffee maker, etc.) so it's great for cooking! Many accommodations in older buildings in the city center don't have elevators, but this one does! The hot water is also excellent. Check-in and check-out are both online, so there's no reception. There are lockers in the lobby, so I was able to leave my luggage after check-out and go explore the city for a bit, which was nice.

GGuest UserOverall very satisfied. The room is fully equipped and clean. The washbasin is very unique, and the wet and dry bathrooms are separated. From the hotel lobby, you can walk directly to the food court next door. Next to it is the bus station, and the taxi station is a five-minute walk away. It takes at least half an hour to walk to the attractions, so it is recommended to take a taxi.

JJames in ShanghaiWe checked in, there was no wait, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great touch that the staff member offered to show us a map of Porto and the key things he would recommend doing in the city. I can’t stress enough just what an excellent location this hotel is in, no public transport is required. All the key sights are within a short walking distance. It is also very walkable from the train station. The room was great, with adequate lighting, a huge TV and some excellent shower products. The bed was relatively firm and comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast for the 3 nights. There had been a miscommunication about the price of this, however, the hotel manager was very helpful in rectifying this via email communication after the stay. The young female staff member we engaged with for breakfast each morning was also very friendly, warm yet professional. As IHG Platinum members we decided to try this Hilton property and were not disappointed. It was excellent from start to finish and the prompt reply and rectification from the hotel manager is testament to the care, detail and excellent management of this property. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Porto.
