Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel

9.5/10
Amazing

This Queenstown trip involved three nights at different hotels due to tight availability: Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel, Ramada by Wyndham Queenstown Central, and Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa. Park Boutique left the deepest impression. Though not downtown, its location was perfect—quiet and peaceful, yet just a 5-minute walk to the town center. The service was exceptionally warm and attentive, with a nightly wine tasting salon. Breakfast featured a partial buffet with main courses ordered à la carte. However, each guest could only order their main course once. Ideally, a second order could be offered for an additional fee, allowing larger groups to sample more dishes. The best part was the practical facilities: a small kitchen, a bathroom with separate wet and dry zones, and a mattress that was perfectly firm and comfortable. Surprisingly, there was even a fireplace, adding warmth to slightly chilly evenings. In short, if you're heading to Queenstown for a relaxing getaway, Park Boutique is the ideal place to stay.

Nestled in a valley just 20 minutes from Queenstown, this hidden gem is a hidden gem. The hotel rooms are very fancy, and there's even an open-air bathtub, an indoor swimming pool, and a spa. The value for money is truly excellent. Highly recommended!

It was okay. It's one of the newer hotels in Queenstown, and the location is decent. The only downside is that it's a big uphill walk from the town center, but overall, it's not too far. Facilities: Standard Holiday Inn Express, but the curtains are too thin and let in a lot of light. Cleanliness: Pretty clean, and they tidy up daily. Environment: The hotel is currently renovating its restaurant, so it's a bit noisy and messy, but the surrounding area is fine. Service: It was alright, not overly enthusiastic but not cold either. Nothing remarkable, neither good nor bad.

The service at this hotel was excellent; the staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was the best, most varied, and most delicious we'd had since Christchurch. It seems the hotel is undergoing renovations, as there was a distinct smell of paint in the hallway, though the room itself was fine. The front desk is located by the lake, but the navigation system hasn't been updated yet. We arrived around 6 PM after dark, and the navigation led us to the street behind the hotel's old building. The hotel lobby offers complimentary wine, chocolates, and cookies at different times throughout the day, which was lovely to enjoy after an afternoon walk. However, there's one facility that definitely needs upgrading: the shower water pressure was extremely weak, and the water temperature was very unstable—either lukewarm or suddenly scalding hot. Overall, showering was very uncomfortable. Aside from the shower, everything else about the hotel was very satisfying 👍

The handsome men and beautiful women at the front desk genuinely and sincerely helped guests with their questions and needs. My three-night stay was truly fantastic! The rooftop offers stunning mountain and lake views, and the cozy fireplace makes you feel like you're in a secluded paradise. Getting around is super convenient. After leaving Queenstown Airport, you only need to walk about 100 meters to find the #1 public transport bus. Remember to buy a transport card at the airport bookstore beforehand; it's very convenient and cheap, especially if you're traveling alone or with one other person. One card is all you need. To get to this hotel (Leloo Hotel), take the bus from the airport. After about 20 minutes, get off at Stanley Street, which is a major transport hub, just a 4-minute walk from the hotel. You'll know it's the right stop because it's at the bottom of a big downhill road, with a large park on your right. The bus stops are conveniently divided into A, B, and C sections. Getting to Arrowtown only takes 25 minutes and costs 2.5 New Zealand dollars. There are many popular, Instagrammable shops nearby, like Fergburger. Even if you're vegetarian, don't worry, they all have Chinese menus.

The room was incredibly spacious and even had a microwave, which was great for heating up food purchased from the supermarket. It also boasted a large balcony with fantastic lake views. The only thing to be aware of is the steep uphill walk from town to the hotel, which could be a bit slippery in winter. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and a prime location.

Had 2 stuffed toys of great sentimental value removed from my room. One was my dog’s toy which we slept with and he had died only recently. Informed & explained to Duty Manager at night and front desk the next morning. They could not address my distress & anxiety as I was leaving to catch flight out. Just told me how improbable rhe incident is, doubted me and left me to simply wait for their news while they took time to check with the relevant departments. After waiting hours and receiving no response via phone call, WhatsApp and email, an understanding friend who is a NZer helped me call them to follow up. Only then, she found someone responsive enough to actively search. Disappointed with hotel’s general lack of understanding & poor response. Other than above crucial point, hotel & room were nothing great despite their high rate. Other hotels charge as high like a more well known one across the road and friends thought it was better. Other staff encountered were friendly and performed well. Strongest point is its proximity to bus stop for key services to outer parts of Queenstown.

“Fantastic stay – highly recommend!” I had an excellent stay at the Cambridge Hotel. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to major attractions, restaurants, and public transport. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with a great city view from the balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always going above and beyond to assist with any requests. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The facilities were also impressive, especially the indoor pool and overall cleanliness of the hotel. Everything felt well-maintained and welcoming. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and excellent service. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

A love-hate relationship with this place. The 180-degree lake view flat was amazing, and the in-room facilities were comprehensive, except for one of the stove burners not lighting on max heat and not being able to find the switch for the laundry room exhaust fan. There are also quite a few things to complain about: Getting from reception to the room requires walking along an outdoor driveway and through the garage, which is an unusually unpleasant experience! Luckily the weather was good; it would have been a complete disaster if it had rained. As for the service, the front desk staff acted like robots, seemingly doing nothing but checking guests in. Indian tour buses would block the entrance/exit for over ten minutes at a time, completely jamming the driveway, and no one did anything about it! They claimed to have a shuttle bus service to town, but they didn't control the number of passengers, which resulted in some people not being able to get on. The website said check-in was at 2 PM, but when 2 PM rolled around, they told us the room wasn't ready and we'd have to wait until 2:30 PM for the key card, without a single apology.

This hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Queenstown center, offering a quiet escape while still being close to the action. Parking costs 10 NZD per day, which is worth it for the security. The hardware is top-notch, definitely boutique hotel quality. Breakfast is included and conveniently placed in the fridge and minibar area for self-service. The 'only' lake view is across a road from the lake, but the window view is still stunning enough.
