Hotels with Breakfast in Amsterdam

Holding to stay away from city center is a brilliant idea. This business area is clean and very near to bus stop , train station and tram station. The Albert Heijn XL inside a neighborhood mall is just 14 mins walk away. Breakfast spread is awesome. I would highly recommend even for tourists to stay here , as it isn’t a must to stay at the central which is crowded and overall dirtier and noisier. Everything is just a tram away, and there is a day cap or a day ticket for transport, so why not. Of course downside is that commuting around also takes time .

The hotel is conveniently located about an 8-minute walk from the National Museum, and there's also a large Albert Heijn supermarket within an 8-minute walk. The canal view from the window, with boats, blue sky, and white clouds, was very pleasant. However, the room air conditioning was quite cold; the highest setting was 22 degrees Celsius, and it couldn't be turned off or adjusted higher. Even when 'off' was selected, it still ran. The room itself was relatively clean. The coffee capsules were a nice touch. The shower was good, but the handle holder was broken, and we didn't bother to report it for repair. The room TV only had three or four channels, but it was sufficient for watching shows. The breakfast was very rich and enjoyable. A taxi to the airport cost around 33 Euros. The hotel's location is great; you can walk from the hotel towards the museum all the way to Central Station. The front desk staff were all very polite. There were also jelly sweets at the front desk, which was fun. Check-in time was 3 PM, and we arrived early and waited an hour. Check-out was very strict, exactly at 12 PM. The hotel was fully booked on our check-out day, so we couldn't extend. The extension policy was 18 Euros per hour. Renting an umbrella from the hotel cost money. Overall, it was a good stay.

The location is perfect for getting around. Very close to Amsterdam Centraal and walking distance to all restaurants and bars. The rooms are as the pictures show.

Overall experience was great, one of the late morning check-in male staff was really welcoming and even upgraded me to a higher floor with a fantastic view of the river. But since the checkin is 3pm, when I got back, another burlier guy got us our keys but was way too serious and sombre. It's fine but a smile would go a long way. One tiny irk was the lack of bedroom slippers in a carpeted room. I feel it should be basic. And this is the one time I didn't bring a just-in-case pair and i was caught out. Anyway, location is good, tram connection to the Centraal Station just across the street or a 10min walk.

Facilities: The facilities are well-maintained. The triple room seems to have been converted from a double room, but it's manageable. Both times I've stayed here, I booked a high-floor triple room, and the view from the window is great. Hygiene: The room was very clean, and they provided towels and bath towels for three people. Environment: The biggest advantage is its location. The subway station is less than 100 meters away, a one-minute walk. There's an elevator under the bridge to take you up, but you need to pay attention to the direction because different entrances lead to different turnstiles inside the station, so try not to go the wrong way. However, even if you go the wrong way, you can still reach the city center, though you might need to transfer. For the airport, make sure you go in the right direction to Zuid to catch the airport express. The hotel is within half an hour of the airport and twenty minutes from Central Station, with other parts of the city even closer. Service: No deposit is required for check-in, and check-out is very quick, which is why I see many Chinese nationals staying here. It's convenient and offers good value for money.

The location is excellent, right next to Amsterdam Central Station. It's less than a 20-minute train ride from Schiphol Airport, and then just a five-minute walk. The staff are warm and helpful ♥️. The room is small, but it has all the basic amenities. For those of us who are used to bringing our own toothbrushes, slippers, and facial cleanser, it's no problem at all! There's even a canal view from the window. The only thing I think could be improved is the breakfast—the selection is limited and the taste is just so-so.

I had a great stay at this hostel and would definitely recommend it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was easy. The room and shared facilities were clean and well maintained. The location was excellent, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and local attractions. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it easy to meet other travelers. Overall, it was excellent value for money, and I would happily stay here again.

The hotel itself was nice and good location, we were not warned about building work around the hotel and when mentioned there was no apology and no form of compensation. One night we came home from a long day/night and our room keys wouldn’t work the working gave us more cards and they didn’t work this took 3 attempts till he just came up with us to let us into our rooms so we had no working keys for our room that night. I then went down the next morning to be given some more keys that worked, the room we were also given was a small room where there was an obstruction in the shower that was part of the building where we had to duck under to get to the shower. I have tried to contact the hotel and customer services for 3 months now and have had no reply! Awful customer service!

I travel a lot — usually visiting around two countries a week — so I stay in many different hotels. The experience I had at Cityden was honestly outstanding, especially considering the price. This is probably the first time I can genuinely say that, in my experience, a European hotel has completely outclassed many American hotels — in price, service, comfort, and the overall experience. The hotel is quiet, the staff are extremely friendly, the service is excellent, and the food is high quality. Most importantly, the room was probably the best room I have received for this price range so far — and I was staying in one of their standard rooms. The rooms are also extremely well suited for long stays. They feel much more like a high-quality serviced apartment than a regular hotel room, which makes the place especially impressive for anyone planning to stay for more than just a few nights. The sound insulation deserves a special mention. It is incredible. The rooms are so quiet that you can practically hear yourself think. For someone who travels as much as I do, that level of peace and privacy is something I really appreciate. The food was another surprise. It actually tastes like real, properly cooked food, with the flavor you get from cooking over an open flame rather than simply using a standard gas hob. You can really taste the difference. Everything was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and I also really appreciated that the hotel is completely smoke-free. The hotel also offers parking and security, which is a big advantage. One professional travel tip from me: since you already have a bar serving alcohol for international guests, it could also be a nice touch to keep rolling papers and filters available for tourists visiting Amsterdam. The only small downside for me is that many of the businesses in the surrounding area are halal, so finding somewhere nearby to buy a beer can be a little difficult. Fortunately, the hotel itself has a bar, so it was not really a problem. Overall, I was so impressed that I signed up for the membership. Excellent value for money, outstanding service, exceptional rooms, very good food, and a place I would happily stay at for a much longer period. Highly recommended.

nice place! functional and tidy room. unfortunately needed to take 2 lifts to get to room but that was ok. the location is good. it can be a bit noisy at night and there was a fire alarm during our stay but i would still recommend staying here (especially for young travellers)
