In terms of value for money, the hotel was absolutely unbeatable in my case. The only annoying thing was the newly implemented self-check-in and the impossibility of getting a room before 3:00 PM. Also, the iPad battery died at one point, so some guests couldn't check in or had to wait… but since this was still in its early stages, I didn't factor that into my rating. Therefore, a very, very good rating.

We booked 4 nights in this hotel. The service and the staff were really nice. Fresh orange juice service everyday ;) The room was spacious and clean. A nice big shower and some free water was very nice. The only minus was no air-conditioning. The room felt very warm on the 6th floor even though it was not that warm outside in May. The window could be opened but because the room was on the front the traffic was very loud in the night. Had a lovely stay and would recommend to stay here. Maybe not in the warm months in Summer.

First off, be aware that it's over a 15-minute walk from the nearest station. Since the streets are cobblestone, navigating with a wheeled suitcase can often be quite challenging. During the day, the area is bustling with pedestrians and traffic, and with many cafes and brand stores nearby, it's perfect for window shopping. The building itself boasts a charming, retro ambiance that truly enhances the travel experience. The gentlemen at the front desk were cheerful and welcoming. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety of options and was excellent value at just 10 euros. My room was a corner unit with a street-facing balcony. It offered a satisfying location for watching the city life go by or simply observing the sky. However, there was no refrigerator or kettle. Also, there's no air conditioning (though an oil heater and fan are provided). The bathroom features a compact, combined washbasin, toilet, and shower area. It was, however, clean. One notable inconvenience was the TV reception; the picture would often disappear, pixelate, or freeze. Additionally, unlocking the room door was quite tricky and took some getting used to. Finally, the elevator has manual doors, a style uncommon in Japan, which might make you a bit nervous until you're accustomed to it.

It was good for the price I paid. There was a firealarm twice during my one-week-stay. You can go there, it’s not too bad. I never saw another person in the shared bathroom for instance. The reception is nice but the coffee small for its price. While you can hear in your room everything that is happening in front of it, I never had enough people on my floor to find it too disturbing. It’s a big building. What I really liked was the cozy room, the desk, the arrangement of the light and the sink. I felt at home in the private space.

Good location, good breakfast. Just personally I found the bed too soft...

God lokation but, you need transport if you don't want to walk 7 km to inner city  Hotel is nice and clean  If your with car, finding carpark is not easy, ( just use the car parking beside the hotel) Great breakfast  Clean rooms  Will recommend also for families indeed.

The hotel is really cute and nice for couples. The front desk was really friendly and gave lots of recommendations. I would stay here again!

Family of four from Denmark Booked two rooms in January for arrival April 3rd in Berlin. When we arrived in Berlin, the receptionist found our booking right away, but said we were from Singapore and a company. Very strange. She also said that the two rooms had not been paid for. (We paid immediately in January.) We had to pay one more time. We mentioned that the rooms were booked through Trip. com, but she said that the hotel had no agreements with such a booking entity. When we got the rooms, it was on two different floors, so we couldn't enter our family and meet, as the card keys do not give access to other floors, incl. the elevator.

The suite is very large, with high ceilings and an old-fashioned style. The hotel is old, but the facilities are not old. There is also a balcony and kitchen facilities are fully equipped, which is suitable for family travel. The front desk service is very polite. Berlin prices have really skyrocketed, but the hotel price is also okay.

This is no 4 star hotel. Feels like it is 15 years outdated and not really being looked after. The room felt sad when you walked in and not a 4 star experience. There is women's hair in the bathroom on the walls and by the sink. The shower plug was locked and couldn't open it but the staff sort it somewhat. There is mould in the bathroom. The shower floor will be wet after a shower due to the setup. The shower doesn't stay in place so you have to hold it. The breakfast was adequate but feels like they waste a lot of food and could refine it and offer some German food. Staff were great but would not stay here again.
