Hotels in Tiergarten, Berlin

We booked this hotel in advance for our Bruno Mars concert at The Olympiastadion and to explore the City of Berlin. The location is amazing for couples, solo travelers and families. Everything is at walking distance, and there is always bikes available to rent. Using the bike every monument, restaurant and shopping mall was reachable in 15 minutes. I also was pleased that during our stay they put the World Cup on the big screen, was a lot of fun. Definitly worth its price!

Travelled alone. The pool, Spa and Gym were so good. Staff friendly and the receptionists who checked me in and out were friendly, along with all the staff at the hotel and Spa. The cafe on site was an absolute bonus. Nice quiet position but with a lot of things nearby and excellent transport links.

I can recommend this hotel warmly because it has been successful around: cleanliness, order, rest and an excellent location with restaurants and bakeries, bus stops in the immediate vicinity. It also offers additional health services. The staff is very friendly and attentive, especially Mr Rachid and Mrs Theresa. In front of the hotel there are parking and 3 free parking.

Good hotel, reasonable, great location and attentive staff. Breakfast is very generous, so pay for that. room was small, but had a desk and full bathroom and double bed, what else could you ask for. View was a parking lot but it also meant that it was quiet. Hot water pressure and internet speed were both good. Bathroom showed its age a little, but was fine.

The hotel is conveniently located a few minutes walk from Potsdamer station. It is clean, rooms are well equipped and staff are polite, patient and helpful. The only downside for our group was that the restaurant did not open on Friday evening (when we arrived). That said, there are so many restaurants to choose from in and around Potsdamer Platz, we were spoilt for choice.

Dissappointing... We come here for more than six years, and it goes seamlessly down. In the evening is the sauna neglected, nobody comes to replenish towels and water cups, not to mention that ”renovation” meant the removal of the fridge, which used to offer free soft drinks and bottled water after the saune. Just two sorts of tea (if you can sustain that four kind of black tea means four sorts of tea...). Nobody controls the sauna temperature anymore, one day it was crispy hot, last time one could fall asleep inside... The rooms cannot be heated, just cooled. If you try to turn air condition off, you can´t, and they need the approval of the building´s owner to change the set temperature for the entire hotel. Last time they offered us a heater, now we had to change room for extra charge. All staff seemed overwhelmed with the complaints, except for apologies there is nothing to get in exchange for the wasted time and money... Room keys don´t always work in the elevator or on the floor. Extra coding for the sauna works every now and then. Staff overwhelmed, room orders come very late or not at all. No coffee sets whatsoever.

The bed in this room category was incredibly soft. I suspect it's quite old, as I just sank into it completely, offering absolutely no proper support. I had a terribly uncomfortable night and barely slept at all. I had expected the bedding to be similar to the Marriott in Copenhagen, but this particular bed at the German Marriott was surprisingly uncomfortable. It was nowhere near as comfortable as the twin room I stayed in the following day.

Excellent hotel! The self-check-in process is quite advanced, making both check-in and check-out very convenient. The room is spacious and gets plenty of sunlight, much better than many hotels I've stayed at in Europe. The location is decent; it's very close to bus stops, though a bit of a walk to the subway, which is acceptable. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Room was OK. Clean at first glance, but otherwise so-so (e.g. completely dusty under the bed, shower head very calcified, unpleasant smell from the bathroom). Very small, you had hardly any room to move around and not in the bathroom anyway, so not suitable for tall people. Overall, it was OK for the price. Definitely suitable for a party holiday in Berlin, less so for a couples holiday. We didn't eat the food.

I requested a high-floor room, and the hotel thankfully accommodated. The room was incredibly spacious with a fantastic view – absolutely perfect, and the service deserves a special mention. The location is super convenient, within walking distance to landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag Building, Sony Center, and Potsdamer Platz. Right in front of the hotel, there's also a section of the Berlin Wall and the ruins of Hotel Esplanade, which survived the war. From my floor, I had easy access to the gym, sauna, and pool. The sauna is a dry sauna, and the pool is quite nice.
