Hotels near The Summer Palace, Beijing

Always wanted to experience Aman Beijing, finally booked a one night stay. Upon arrival, Jason at the front desk was very helpful and patient in explaining various items and was pleasantly surprised to hear my room had been upgraded. The property and the room are just like the photos but actually physically being there and seeing all the details of the architecture, courtyards, and surrounding nature and birds is like being transported back in time to another era. In this sense, Aman Beijing accomplishes what no other modern five-star luxury hotel can come close to achieving - making one feel a certain emotion or feeling that they've never felt, or perhaps only experienced in their dreams. Everything from the furniture to the layout to the art to the lighting is so tastefully executed and done, the courtyards and grounds are kept immaculate (saw people sweeping away leaves), they even have the older style bicycles available to ride there. Ate at the Chinese restaurant twice, the environment and lighting is so nice, their dumplings are excellent and also really enjoyed some of their soups and vegetable offerings, very delicious. Unfortunately, I was quite sick that day and also had injured my knee the day before. One of the staff at the front desk noticed my limp and asked if I was okay. I told her I was fine, just a little sprain. She went to the back and brought out a traditional Chinese 'Ban Lan Gen' pain relief spray can which she kindly gave to me, saying I could use it and take it with me, very touched. I think it is moments like these which one will remember many years later. All the staff I met there were very kind, during lunch was fortunate enough to meet Ivy, the F&B Manager who was very warm and hospitable. Then during dinner, after I saw down, a restaurant staff asked if I would like an ice pack for my leg, I asked her if she thought it would help and she replied, ”Yes.” They proceeded to bring out a huge ice pack that was able to wrap around my entire knee, providing instant relief. Finally, when it was time to leave, the very lovely and kind Lucy asked if I would like more ice packs to be sent to my room so I could ice my knee before retiring for the night. Even though I was not feeling well, it was an unforgettable experience due in large part to the kind and wonderful staff there.

The room is relatively large and clean. There are Qingfeng Baozi Restaurant and Fulin Dumpling Restaurant nearby for dining. It is recommended to provide some tissue paper in the room. I will consider staying here again next time I go on a business trip.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of everything, making it incredibly easy to access all the key tourist spots. There are also tons of food options nearby, which made exploring the local cuisine a breeze. The hotel itself provides free breakfast throughout the stay, which was a lovely touch and super convenient. But what really stood out were the staff members. They were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to address my questions immediately, making me feel truly taken care of. Overall, a great stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The Orange Hotel has good facilities, it is very clean and quiet. The waiters are very nice, knowing that we brought our baby, they gave us a small gift 🙂 The breakfast is very rich, the dishes are replenished in time, and the taste is good. There are large supermarkets and good roast duck restaurants around 😁, it is also very convenient to eat, it is a good choice to go to the Summer Palace and Yuanmingyuan 👍

We were given a room with cigarette smell and got changed instantly. Shower room and toilet are separated and spacious. Clean and comfortable beds, friendly staff and efficient service. MTR and bus stops are nearby and it was easy to get a taxi too. Will stay again next time.

The room is clean, sanitary, and the service is good. There is a breakfast shop and a small supermarket downstairs. The transportation is very close to the bus and subway stations. It is also close to Zhongguancun Shopping Center. I will stay here again next time.

The hotel lobby is very spacious. Xiao Liang at the front desk checked us in quickly and provided warm service. The room facilities are new, clean and tidy. The service is also very good. Snacks and free spring water were given. If we left items in the key room, they would contact us proactively. I also like the surrounding environment, which is relatively quiet. We booked it because it is close to the Summer Palace. There are many scenic spots around it. I will stay in this hotel next time I visit!

Near Zhongguancun, meeting at Microsoft headquarters, about 1 km away, very close and convenient. Thank you for the free upgrade Facilities 1. The swimming pool, gym and laundry room are all closed for upgrade and optimization... I was looking forward to the swimming pool... and the sauna, I also need fitness... 2. The lobby is like a four-star hotel, not very big, but too simple... Sanitation Clean Environment The suite is good, with a large area, a bathroom with a shower downstairs, and a bathroom with a bathtub upstairs, well designed. The scenery is also OK, looking out to the mountains. Service 1. Because the shower room on the first floor of the original room was leaking, I was helped to change to an executive room. Although it was no different from the original room type, it was still responsive, just asking me to go to the front desk to change the room card instead of having the concierge send it to me, the service is still lacking. 2. The cleaning aunt is good 👍 polite and very good.

I really enjoyed my stay. The amenities were excellent (fresh slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc provided every day), and the towels, sheets, and robes were very clean to use. The location is great - it's only a four to five minute walk to the nearest subway station. I was visiting my friend who goes to Peking University and she could bike from PKU to my hotel in about ten minutes. The only thing is that I found that sometimes there was a slight smoking smell coming from the bathrooms but I found that if I turned the fan on and left the bathroom doors closed it wasn't an issue at all. The shower is also great - a giant rain shower, and the water is the perfect temperature. 

This stay was great! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the front desk was friendly and efficient in checking me in. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the linens were wrinkle-free. The bathroom facilities were high-end, and hot water was available as soon as it was turned on. The breakfast was rich and varied, with a reasonable combination of Chinese and Western food. The surrounding area was convenient for travel, and I would choose this place again next time!
