The hotel has a good location in Sanlitun Road. I easily walked to Taikoo Li and Soho within 15 minutes. The hotel’s facilities are quite basic, but maintenance and cleaning are okay. I have stayed in much better Ibis hotels than this one so hopefully an upgrade will be due soon.

Staffs are nice and have very good service mind. Hotel room, hall way, lobby is clean and vibrant. Room is not fully sound proof, we can hear people talking on hallway. Hotel is located in the tourist bustling location on the Dashilan pedestrain street near Qianmen and that means the food cost and everything will be higher than normal. We can hear people talking from outside the building through open window at the beginning of the night. But after late at night, area around the hotel will be quiet. Hotel will provide two bottle of drinking water in room every day but you may ask for more from staff in the front desk. Three Washing machines and three dryer on the first floor are available for guest use . Breakfast is good but no coffee. You may buy a cup of Costa coffee from front desk staff. One TV channel is CGTN in English, otherwise are in Chinese.

I always enjoy my stay at Ibis chain in China and I was not disappointed in Beijing.
The staff was friendly and helpful, they could speak English and helped me receive and store a parcel I was waiting.
The room we booked was a bit small for two people, however it had all the necessary for a short stay. The room and bathroom were clean, and also cleaned daily. I like that they always give you complimentary water, toiletries and slippers.
I really liked the laundry room with a big washing machine, dryer and even steam irons and place to hand your clothes to air dry them. They even supply you with laundry detergent sachets. For us it was very useful and convenient.
The hotel has a convenient position, just 5 minutes from the subway line 5 and Temple of Heaven park.
We didn't book the room with breakfast included because we are usually not a big fan of continental/Chinese breakfast.

I’m an American solo traveler that had a lovely stay at this IBIS. It started off a little rocky but it ended up being a very nice & relaxing stay. The hotel was about a 10-12 minute walk from the metro & a couple of huge malls.
Also, there was a delicious Muslim restaurant next door that I ate at every day. Being a westerner it’s been hard to partake in some of the local Chinese cuisine but I really liked that place. But special kudos goes out to the manager “July”. She was an amazing hostess that booked me a couple day trips throughout Beijing and gave me great tips about navigating throughout the city. She was completely attentive & had a lovely presence. Would go back just for her! She was amazing as well as most of her staff! I would highly recommend a stay at this location & the prices were extremely reasonable. When I’m in Beijing I will definately stay here again. Thanks so much July! She rocked! 👍🏽👏🏽
Everything came as advertised. Were willing to give us a free upgrade from non-window to windowed room (though we declined). Water pressure and temperature were consistent.
Out of the 4 hotels we stayed at in China, it was the only one where the staff were prepared with a translator app on their phone.
If you need extra bottled water, you can just grab it from the front desk.
Around 4 minute walk to exit G of Gulou street station, so it's very convenient.
If you don't like the smell of smoke, get a room near the back of the hotel as the smell can waft in from somewhere.
Be sure not to turn the sink faucet on middle to full blast as water will splash out onto the floor or bed.
They were renovating several rooms so they're maintaining the hotel, which was great to see. We left the hotel sometimes as late as 9am and we could not hear any noise from the renovations.

It was very uncomfortable. I thought everything was fine, but when I was about to go to bed at night, I found that I couldn't turn off the TV. I called and was told to ”just unplug the cable”, but I didn't dare to move or unplug it. In the end, my colleague came to unplug it for me. After that, I wanted to take a shower, but found that there were only four or five holes in the entire shower head that sprayed hot water, and the other water holes were weak… The final result was that there was only so much hot water, and it was useless to turn it on to the maximum. The heat taken away by the evaporation of water on my body was far more than the warmth brought by the hot water. It was a magical experience that the hot shower became colder and colder. Apart from these two things, everything was good.
