Mercure Tiananmen Hotel Beijing Reviews

Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, particularly the gentleman with glasses on nights and the lady with the low ponytail on day/evening shifts. Both were quick to pull out the translation app and answer any questions. Never made me feel like an inconvenience for only speaking English. The gentleman kindly helped bringing my lugguage downstairs when checking out early in the morning, and assisted with communicating with the taxi driver. Free fruits and a selection of soft drinks, water and teas/coffee replenished daily when the room is cleaned. Slippers and an amenity kit were provided. Black out curtains in room. Beds are comfortable. Short walk to Qianmen Station which is well connected for getting around the city. Near Dashilan which is great for shopping and local food. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Tiny room. We’re upgraded to a larger room, but even so, space is small. Staff is kind and helpful, but does not speak English at all. Located 12 min from metro station. Good hotel amenities.

Great location. Juz right beside qianmen. Didi can't choose the drop off outside the hotel but u can juz walk abit to the hotel. The hotel is pretty. With free performance at the courtyard. Room is pretty small. Which is the only down point. But service from the desk is great n friendly. Free bottle water n fruits !

This little gem is 20 min away by foot from the Southern Tiananmen Square entrance, in the middle of Hutongs and with Dashilar district close by. A classic inn with tiny, but modern rooms and a beautifully decorated inner court. Their most precious feature though is the kind and friendly staff. They helped with my luggage (2 floors without elevator), organized a shuttle to the flag-rising ceremony at 4 am, helped with any issues and offered luggage storing after check-out. In the evening you can listen to a talented lady playing Guzheng, Chinese zither, in the courtyard. A lovely experience.

Very satisfied, the service attitude of the young man and the young lady is super good and patient. It is very convenient to live here. There are delicious food and pedestrian streets all around.

Love this hotel! Although the room is a little small, the waiters are warm and thoughtful, and there are free pear soup, fruit, drinks and guzheng appreciation!

Very nice hotel. There is no elevator but the clerk helped me to go up to the floor. The sound insulation is not very good but the old building can't solve this problem. I came in to take pictures as a tourist attraction. The staff are very polite and smiling. The service is quite good.

All the staff were very enthusiastic and took the initiative to help with the luggage and give us bottled water when they went out. One night I needed to do laundry, but there were a lot of people there. The front desk helped me queue up and sent the laundry back to my room. The room was very comfortable . The mattress is high-end. Our family lives here more than half of the time in Beijing. It is convenient for travel and we don't need to rent a car.

Close to Tiananmen Square, opposite to Dashilan, good environment, friendly boss, first choice for business trips and tourism, worth recommending

The hotel service is excellent. The building is beautiful. However, there is no elevator. The room is a bit small. It is recommended that some buttons can be accompanied by instructions. For example, how to use the air conditioner and floor heating.
