Rongfu Laozhai Hotel (Beijing Houhai) Reviews

This is the perfect starting point for your adventure in the historic part of Beijing. Close to all main attractions, excellent food, a park for relaxing strolls and the subway. I had a lovely time staying here. The staff is amazingly helpful, kind and accommodating. 10/10 would come again.

Very comfortable and positive experience. The bed is large and comfortable, my room had a balcony (although I didn't use it much because it was so cold!), and the laoban is helpful and friendly.

The hotel manager is both attractive and extremely helpful. They kindly receive packages sent by my friends, assist me in exchanging cash to Alipay balance, and though their English is limited, we communicate effortlessly using a translation app. 谢谢!

We had a fantastic stay! The place was comfortable, clean, and perfectly located. Communication with the host was excellent—quick and helpful responses made everything smooth. Highly recommended!

Location is really cool. A bit far from the very touristy area, which gives you a glimpse of authentic life, especially around the lakes a few minutes away. 2 subway lines at walking distance. Place is clean enough and the staff is also super nice. Highly recommended the bed is a bit hard for my taste but it's the traditional way I guess.

Convenient location, especially quiet given it’s on a major road. I wouldn’t stay here again just because my room lacked charm.

We stay for the weekend in this hotel. It has been very convenient. Close from the famous attraction, and very nice coffee, bars and restaurants near by. Easy to communicate with the owner.

Near to subway and easy walk around Shichahai & Luoguxiang hutong, but if you take subway make sure to get off at Sichahai subway . The owner is very helpful , minor thing is only quite high steps up to the room so would be u easy to carry up big luggage fortunately the owner willing to help carry our luggages up to the room

Very friendly front desk guy. Offered to bring down our luggages on the day we leave. Great stay! The front desk appeared to be a bit dingy.

Service was excellent, rooms were also very aesthetic. Location was pretty good as well, pretty much right in the city centre and close to a lot of nice areas to explore.

Excellent location, though on a main street it wasn't very noisy. The guests while I was there were also respectful of noise level as well. One of the best matresses I had, a clean shower/bathroom and helpful host[s]. No English, but easy to work around with translation ap; wasn't a problem. No complaints, would stay again.

We’re a Swiss couple staying at this hotel for a week. The two people who run the hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. We had a lot of suitcases so they offered to move us to another room to give us more space. They also helped us several times with taxis and other problems. The rooms are clean, cute and stylish. It has everything you need and the area is very convenient for visits and restaurants. We have been to Beijing several times with my wife and this is the best establishment we have stayed in. We highly recommend it !
