What a gem! Loved our stay in this 4 room courtyard hotel. Excellent service, good location (small streets make for slow going for taxis), great breakfast, and a very spacious and comfortable room.

This is an outstanding place to stay. I have been to Beijing many times and this has to be the best experience and the best hotel. He had the large suite for 4 nights in late October 2024. Four key things: 1- this is a hotel with only 4 rooms smack on the Longtangs. That, alone, is extraordinary, 2- It is in the architecture of an ancient courtyard -- which is a rarity in Beijing for a hotel. 3- This is a high end room with a really nice breakfast. 4- The staff it really helpful. I don't think there is anything better in Beijing in the old courtyard style. Highly recommend. Jean-Marc (Canada).

Service was excellent led by Frank, however as the lane is a hutong, it's narrow and does not encourage cars and parking

It is one of the few brands in Beijing that can truly experience the Siheyuan environment. There are only four rooms in the wing and main room, and the privacy is very good. The owner of the courtyard has put a lot of effort in the decoration planning. The carved beams and painted buildings, the eaves are painted in two ways, literati painting and perspective painting. The interior decoration is solemn and majestic; the collection of furniture and calligraphy and paintings is for guests to enjoy and use, showing taste. The staff is warm and humane, which is great.

A very interesting courtyard with only four guest rooms. The courtyard is filled with the sound of birds and flowers, and bees collecting honey. As soon as you check in, the room staff will lead you to explain the original works of Lin Fengmian and a whole cabinet of wine worth tens of millions of yuan. The decoration is the same as that of the Forbidden City construction team and the dome is the same as that of the British Museum.

Very good stay experience, good service attitude, warm and friendly hospitality, elegant environment, good location, and clean. Although the breakfast is a set meal, the six-square grid has different styles and tastes good. It is made with great care, especially the dumplings are made with real ingredients. The detergents used in the bathroom are all high-end brands. It is worthy of being a boutique hotel. Next time I go to Beijing, I will choose to stay in this hotel.

The downside is that I can't watch cable TV in the room and the landline can't be used😂

A relatively new courtyard hotel, the children like it very much, the atmosphere is full, I believe there are different views in each season ~ As a courtyard hotel, the location is convenient, and taxis can drive in, although it is more technical. The surrounding life atmosphere is strong. The bed in the room is big enough for two adults and two children to sleep ~ The service is also very nice, responsive, the hotel manager has rich management experience and gave a lot of travel suggestions ~ The breakfast is rich and the children are very satisfied.

The rooms in Gucheng Laoyuan are clean and comfortable, and the housekeeper's service is thoughtful and meticulous. The traditional courtyard is exquisite and elegant. Sitting on the chair in the middle of the courtyard to rest, the magnolia and crabapple are in harmony, and occasionally there are a few birds singing, which is a good experience of the elegance of the ancient courtyard. The breakfast is Chinese, rich and varied, and the taste is good. There are porridge, fried dough sticks, dumplings, fish fillets, steamed buns, steamed buns, two appetizers, wonton seaweed soup and fruits. Overall, it is worthwhile to come to Beijing and stay in Gucheng Laoyuan.

Experience the most ideal hotel in the courtyard. The facilities are complete and the environment is beautiful. Please note that it may be a short walk from the subway station. Because it is in an alley, if you take a taxi, sometimes the driver will drop you off outside and not enter the alley.

A city with a historical and cultural background, a house with weight, listening to the butler's story, I felt like I was there. Looking at the inconspicuous little objects, which are hundreds of years old, I was amazed and surprised. I will choose to stay here for a night next time I come to Beijing.
