The Homestay was very nice.  Beautiful mixture of modern and traditional elements,  Attention to detail, very clean. The hosts are very nice and attentive.  The area is incredible, we watched sunset on the Great Wall and could just walk there.

This place is perfect! We loved everything about it! The hosts took grate care of us! They cooked us delicious meals, took us hiking with them on the Great Wall and treat us as dear friends! Excellent hospitality! We do not speak any Chinese, but the communication went very smooth! We would highly recommend this cosy hotel to everyone and hope to come back someday!

We had an amazing time - the location is close to the entry of the Great Wall, the host are super friendly and helpful, and the place is cozy and beautiful. 

We had more than a hotel room, a real experience, felt like being hosted by friends ! The place is lovely, warm and comfortable. We had delicious diner and breakfast. The location is very close to the Jinshanglin Great Wall and we were helped to organize our visit there, for instance we were offered a ride to go there and come back, with a help to purchase tickets. I was so lucky to find such a great homestay on this trip! There are 4 rooms in total, each of which is warm and comfortable, spacious and well-lit. The facilities in the public area added a lot of fun to this trip. The mahjong table and KTV equipment are all available. I played mahjong and sang with my friends, and the laughter echoed throughout the homestay, and the joy continued. The kitchen is very spacious and has complete kitchen utensils. I feel like I can become a chef and show off my skills. If you don't want to do it, it's no problem at all. The meals made by the boss are very distinctive, with unique tastes and fresh ingredients. Every bite is satisfying. What touched me most was the enthusiasm of the boss. From the beginning of our reservation, he has been patiently answering various questions. During our stay, he also enthusiastically recommended us fun places and delicious restaurants around, which saved us a lot of detours on our trip. The main purpose of this trip was to climb the Great Wall in autumn. We took the S5 Huaimi Line from Beijing. It only took about 15 minutes to walk to the accommodation. It is still highly recommended. In addition, there are relatively few people coming here, not as many tourists as in Badaling. Most of the people here are international friends, but everyone is very friendly, hahaha! Facilities: Although it is a mountain village, the service facilities are still very complete Hygiene: The boss lady is very diligent, the house is clean, even if you don’t go out, it’s very comfortable to drink tea at home Environment: The homestay at the foot of the Great Wall, the environment is very elegant, you can see Gubeikou Station and the magnificent Great Wall from the balcony, a very comfortable environment Service: There are many Great Walls around, you can consult the boss if you want to go anywhere, and provide full-range services.

The courtyard of the B&B is very warmly maintained, the room is very clean, and it feels like going home. Take your children to climb the Wohu Mountain Great Wall ruins at the entrance of the village. The scenery is beautiful and pleasant, and it is not too difficult. In the evening, we had a barbecue and admired the moon on the second-floor platform of the B&B. The children had a lot of fun! Will come again in the future.

There are entertainment halls and restaurants. In the entertainment hall, you can play mahjong, karaoke, and chat over tea. You can have breakfast in the restaurant, or make some simple meals yourself. Secondly, the design is distinctive. The overall style of the B&B is antique, from brick to tile to the materials used on the floor and railings. Many small ornaments, pendants, and furniture in the house were designed and made by the boss himself using scraps, which shows that he is a person who works hard. There is an open-air viewing platform on the roof with a very good view. It is very comfortable to drink coffee and enjoy the cool air on it. Furthermore, the surrounding environment of this B&B is very good. Although it is in a village, it is not far from Gubei Water Town and the Great Wall. The folk customs in the village are simple and simple. You can take a walk in the village and look at the crop fields. It is a rare place to find tranquility in the midst of the bustle. The most important thing is that the lady boss is very nice, warm and considerate, easy-going, and the breakfast she makes is rich and delicious. The sweet potatoes grown at her home are very sweet. When I left, I wanted to buy some and ended up giving me two kilograms for free. All in all, it was a great experience staying in this boutique B&B. It is suitable for people living in the busy city to relax and vacation.

The courtyard is located in a village at the foot of Gubeikou Railway Station. It is half an hour's drive from Gubei Water Town and less than 20 minutes' drive from Jinshanling Great Wall. It is very convenient to drive by yourself. Standing on the roof of the small courtyard, you can see the mountains and the Great Wall on the top of the mountains. You can walk to the wooden trail under the train station in about 10 minutes. If you are lucky, you may even see squirrels. You can walk for more than 10 minutes to the free attraction Wanshou Palace. From here you can go up to a section of the Great Wall. Suitable for traveling and living for a period of time. (The yard and room are clean and tidy, and the landlady is very nice. When my son came back at night, he was still talking about going to his aunt’s house. Aunt’s house is fun 😂)

Unexpectedly, the B&B at Gubeikou Great Wall that I booked at random was surprisingly good. The courtyard was quiet and elegant, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The owner of the B&B has put a lot of thought into it, and it's worth coming here to relax and unwind on the weekend. There are many Great Wall ruins next to the B&B. You can take your time to look at them and taste them, which has a unique flavor.
