Stayed at Raia Inn Penang – overall, it was a nice stay. The room was spacious, which was a plus, but I noticed dust in a few areas, including the floor. Cleanliness could be improved, but otherwise, it was a comfortable stay.

I arrived in Raia Inn Penang already late in the evening. The room is big and spacious. Basic room and affordable for an overnight stay. Very near to airport.

is not hotel its INN..old rundown INN, you can smell paint in the room maybe because there are quite a lot water stain on the wall so they paint it. You can see a spot of watermark and they also have masking tape on my floor, floor not even maybe because of the water underneath before this.

Decent place to stay. The location is strategic as it is located near Penang International Airport. It’s very convenient, with a free airport shuttle provided, though I haven’t tried their service yet. The lobby smells so nice, which adds to the welcoming atmosphere. There’s a swimming pool, which is great if you have kids. However, if you get a lower floor or a room next to the pool, you might hear the kids screaming while enjoying the pool. If you’re here to rest, I recommend requesting a higher-floor room. All in all, I would stay here again since I occasionally catch early morning flights from Penang.

Very good location if you need to get a plane early in the morning. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle bus in the morning which is very convenient. We had a queen room which while it was quite big and had what you needed for a night, it was also a bit old and run down and could even give the feeling of uncleanliness even if it wasn’t like that necessarily. The hotel could totally benefit from a renovation. The food in the restaurant was ok and not too expensive.

The hotel is old, with many cracks in the room walls and a dirty air conditioner. However, the bed is still in decent condition.

Really close to the airport, staff and shuttle service is the best. Room itself on first glance looks perfect, on closer attention there is no attention to details in the cleaning. There are still hairs left on the sink, our conditioner were no replaced… it was used before we even used it! The bed was not changed too we have to call receptionist to redo the bedsheet. The air conditioning was the worse it was not cold at all. It’s at a constant probably 24-25degree even though we set it all the way to 16! I can’t sleep it’s way too hot for me… All in all I won’t recommend this place…

recently stayed at Raia Inn Penang, and overall, it was a pleasant, budget-friendly experience. If you're looking for a simple, clean, and no-frills place to stay, this hotel ticks all the right boxes. Rooms: The rooms at Raia Inn are clean, functional, and well-maintained. The decor is simple, with modern touches, and the room size is just right for a short stay. The bed was comfortable, with good quality bedding, ensuring a solid night’s sleep. The air conditioning worked well, which is essential in Penang’s hot and humid weather. The bathroom was basic but clean, with hot water available, and the shower pressure was good. Overall, it's a comfortable, straightforward space to relax after a day of sightseeing. Service: The service at Raia Inn Penang was friendly and efficient. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff was always available to help with any queries. While this isn’t a high-end hotel, the staff made sure everything was running smoothly. Housekeeping kept the room clean, and any additional requests I made (like extra towels) were quickly addressed. Amenities: Raia Inn isn’t packed with a ton of luxury amenities, but it has all the essentials. There’s a small fitness center if you want to get in a workout, though it’s not as expansive as those in larger hotels. Free Wi-Fi was reliable throughout my stay, which is always a plus for both leisure and business travelers. There’s also a small restaurant on-site where you can enjoy breakfast, but if you're looking for more variety, Penang’s vibrant food scene is just a short drive away. The hotel also has free parking, which is handy if you're renting a car to explore the island. Location: Raia Inn Penang is located in a more suburban area, which means it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, but it’s still quite accessible. It’s about a 20-minute drive from Georgetown, where you can explore the famous street art, heritage buildings, and fantastic food. The hotel is also close to the Penang International Airport, which makes it very convenient if you’re flying in or out. There are a few local eateries and convenience stores in the area, but if you’re craving more variety, it’s easy to hop in a taxi or grab a ride to the city. Overall: If you're looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Penang without breaking the bank, Raia Inn Penang is a solid choice. It's not a luxury hotel, but it offers good value for the price. The rooms are comfortable, the service is friendly, and the location is convenient for both business and leisure travelers. Perfect for a short stay or as a base to explore Penang.
